Dance and romance come together in a badly written story

Was this supposed to be about Likay? Romance? Unnecessary drama? We'll never know because you can almost watch this as three different dramas - episodes 1 and 2 are kind of weird but in a nice way. We're introduced the characters, everyone's finding their legs and it's not bad, just kind of shaky and scrambled.

Episodes 3 to 6 1/2 are the actual best. You get a bunch of stuff you will never see in BLs - communication, exes being amicable, break-ups that didn't occur over misunderstandings, a new love interest respecting their crush's past relationships, an ex not being a controlling jerk, I could go on and on, it was truly so nice.

From episode 6 3/4 onwards - they went full Lakorn. Shocking CEO reveals, characters who just want to live their life being killed off for the shock factor, memorial concerts that are hijacked by love confessions, I hate it all. Just got worse and worse.

The story itself is such a mixed bag, it's supposed to follow a rising star as he practices with a Likay troupe so he can look professional in an upcoming series, where he plays a Likay performer. But Likay itself plays no role in the story beyond that - even being a part of someone's identity doesn't afford it enough importance. Again, it's only in the first couple of episodes that they talk about specifics, show us tons of performances and it's amazing.

Episodes 3 to 6 1/2 are devoted to romance. Honestly, very well done - for all the reasons I mentioned above, but also because it felt like three mature adults in a grounded relationship. There's a love triangle by the way, but it really had one of the best executions of a trope I usually hate.  It's quite hard to explain just how well all the love stories came off.. If it helps, I'm still convinced the MC had more chemistry with his ex than the ML. It was not the romantic chemistry or the banter or anything that got to me, it was the calm, grounded relationship they had.

I was pleased too soon though because episode 6 3/4 onwards - DRAMA. They leaned heavily into it and it ruined everything. Every piece of good writing was thrown out the window. Characters behaving like children, which is jaring going from wholesome adults to petulant children. I kind of wish it was just six episodes, I could've managed without knowing how the series in the series turned out. Which, if this is any indication, was probably pretty bad. This phase almost completely ruined the experience for me but I pushed through and it got a little better, just not in the way that the audience completely forgets everything they tried to sell us to create drama.

The acting is not bad, I did enjoy the Likay performances and the cinematography was well done too. It was just a very strange way to tell a story that could've been insanely straightforward. Even the characters who at times behaved completely out of character (thanks to the plot) were actually well written and just overall great people. At the end of the day, I wouldn't categorise this as a must watch, but for a one time watch, it wasn't completely terrible

A simple school love and friendship

When I fly towards you is a very simple, light hearted, high school drama that focuses on the friendship of 5 students with a blooming love beteeen 2 couples amongst them.
Su Zaizai, Jiang Jia, Zhang Lurang, Gu Ran and Guan Feng,the group of theses 5 is very impressive😍
Their families and their relations are also focused upon, especially I liked the relatiin between Guan Feng and his grandma and also Su Zaizai's parents.
This drama mainly focuses on all our opinions, ideals, friendships, classes, studies, homework, that we go through in our high school days. I liked that the plot was kept simple with no issue dragging on for a long time.
However, what I liked the most are the DIALOGUES of this drama. They are very simply written yet seem to carry a powerful meaning beneath them.
All the cast acting is good. 👌
The music, costumes, locations, all are good.
Looking for a simple, worry free drama, then this one is for you. Recommend to watch it👍

Great slice of life let down by the end

Recently I've been into slice of life dramas that is usually about family and life in general, and this one is a great choice if you are even slightly interested in knowing more about a ethnic groups, how they live, and what are their values and habits.

8 episodes of chinese Kazakh life... Really enjoyable except for the last episode maybe, I speak Turkish and I was trying to figure out what are they saying and ignore the subtitles but failed miserably.
That's how much I was invested in it ~~

Sadly I didn't finish it with the same feelings I started it.

I've nothing against the way the story was written, and all the actors were great, but I don't understand the need to show drama that is completely unrelated to the main theme of the show.

Which is why my rating dropped ~~

Characters and actors representing them were all spectacular, nothing worth being mentioned except that you will enjoy their performances very much.

An excellent show and a twist on Rebirth!

My home girl didn't die to be reborn in this gem. She only had dreams about how shitty her life was going to be if she continued pursuing the second ML. So being the smart chick she is... she ditched him faster than single ply toilet paper! Then made the smart choice to go after her childhood sweet heart. The rest is viewing pleasure.

Witch Way to Justice

Wandering physician Ye Ping An arrives in Chang’an carrying more than just her medical kit. From the very first episode, the drama wraps itself in an eerie aura. A “witch” in the Tang Dynasty is already a deliciously dangerous concept, and Kill My Sins leans into that darkness with confidence. The streets of Chang’an feel heavy with suspicion, and so did I as a viewer. Every glance felt loaded. Every conversation felt like a chess move.

The core mystery revolves around Ye Ping An’s so called “sins.” The drama teases us with fragments of flashbacks, never giving too much, just enough to keep curiosity on life support. At first, all I knew was that it involved a woman. The details were vague, almost frustratingly so. But when the full truth was finally revealed, it hit with surprising emotional weight. It was not an obvious crime, not something black and white. It was layered, tragic, and deeply personal. In that moment, her guilt, her thirst for revenge, and her self destructive tendencies all made sense. No wonder she wanted to kill her sins. She has been living inside them all along.

Ye Ping An is not your typical heroine. She is complex, calculating, and morally gray. A wandering physician who specializes in mental health and hypnosis, she is branded a witch because society fears what it does not understand. She reads people too well. She knows exactly which emotional thread to pull. Watching her turn what should be a death sentence into a strategic advantage is both terrifying and impressive. She is highly intelligent, always ten steps ahead, and unafraid of pain or torture. In fact, she often seems more at ease in prison than in freedom, which says a lot about the punishment she believes she deserves.

There is also something perpetually tipsy about her presence. Even when sober, her eyes carry a haze, as if she is walking through memories no one else can see. With guilt that deep, how could anyone stand tall and clear headed? I am not usually a fan of Liu Shi Shi, but she truly delivered here. She captured that fragile balance between cold manipulation and buried trauma beautifully.

Opposite her is Yuan Shao Cheng, the low born magistrate with sky high ambitions. His struggle is different but just as compelling. No matter how capable he is, his birth keeps him from receiving the respect he deserves. Power, to him, is not just desire but survival. He wants to do what is right, yet his hunger to rise often clouds his decisions. At times he appears selfish, but I understood him. I saw the frustration behind his choices. He is a man fighting both the system and himself.

Their relationship is a slow burn in the purest sense. The chemistry is there, subtle but undeniable. Still, I appreciate that the drama chose not to drown their story in romance. Both of them are carrying mountains on their backs. A full blown romance trope would have felt misplaced. As close confidants, they make sense. It feels realistic and earned, not forced for fan service.

Wu An Kang is someone I wish we had seen more of. Zheng Ye Cheng is ridiculously charismatic here. His action scenes were sharp, and his interactions with Ye Ping An added another layer of intrigue. Interestingly, he was the only character I never felt suspicious of. In a drama where everyone seems like they could be hiding a dagger behind their smile, that is saying something.

If there is one thing that left me slightly unsatisfied, it was the ending. After such an intricate web of schemes and emotional buildup, the conclusion felt a bit anticlimactic. I personally wished justice had been served more directly, without Ye Ping An resorting to faking her death. After everything, I wanted a resolution that felt less like smoke and mirrors.

That said, Kill My Sins was a gripping ride. It is a drama that makes you question every character, reexamine every motive, and sit with uncomfortable truths about guilt, revenge, and societal judgment. Dark, clever, and character driven, it kept me hooked. In the end, it may not have been perfect, but it was definitely unforgettable.

Must watch if you're short on time, or have short attention span haha

I accidentally came across this series during a drama slump, and then I watched it all in one sitting. That is how it will score on you. I understand why it has such little viewers and ratings/reviews, but it is a collection of short stories - on love, not necessarily romantic love, and that is the best part.
Ep. 1 is the most loved I see, it's real, it's ordinary, it's messy, and it just has that charm - not my most loved ep. but definitely a strong start.
Ep. 2 is lazy writing about a lazy first crush. I'd say the ending is for shock-value, we don't get to explore the characters more, not exactly impressive.
Ep. 3 messy, though you might like it if you're into horror x comedy.
Ep. 4 what even was that. Either the symbolism is lost on me, or that is just how bizarre it was supposed to be.
Ep. 5 making a string comeback with this one; it's real, it's painful. It makes me happy that history is not enough to stay together.
Ep. 6 AH THE LOST POTENTIAL !!! the Asian-parent love blooming on death's door ? nope. The concept? Definitely.
Ep. 7 nope. Weird maniac-pixie-dream girl syndrome, odd communication style
Ep. 8 oh the high-school crush blues. Definitely my favourite out of all, though it baited me into thinking it's GL.
Ep. 9 the unnecessary ending with ambiguous emotional-development with lost potential of preserving the love? Not done.
Ep. 10 I literally didn't watch.

This feels like someone wrote a fanfic and filmed it

This... Is... Uh, the largest budget of a fanfic being filmed that I've seen.

I went in not finding any information on the series, but as a fan of this universe, decided to give it a try. This seems like a typical next Gen fanfic, with basically enough tropes in it that you can make a drinking game out of. It has your signature bromance, BL if you squint, angst, sacrifice, will they/won't they romance, tragic background, damsel in distress, etc etc. And despite the campiness, its contents were captivating enough that I binged this in 2 days. Know that that I didn't manage to finish the remake version of Blood of Youth net series (Great Journey of Teenagers) past episode 2, so this at least was enjoyable.

Both acting and cinematography were good, visuals, choreography and CGI also good. Of course, there's no huge demigod sized avatars battling with city destruction moves, but I enjoy the classic wuxia story with a bit of CGI to help express qi. I can't say much on music though, they recycled the music and songs from the original series so there's a sense of familiarity, but also nothing really new there.

Pacing and story is where it hit a slight snag. The first one could be contributed to this being the new style short series so everything happened at decently fast pace. In a way, it made the funny moments meant for tension relief feel more like face-palm moments because there's not enough time to build proper tension that you need relief from. The whole series is only about 5 hours long if you take away all the opening and credits.

Story... I think this would have been a better standalone story outside of the BoY universe because there is quite a bit of information that feels contradictory, or doesn't make much sense without at least another series or three to explain why such things would come to be. Don't get me wrong, I loved the little references to the world we know, but a number of them also felt like "Hey, that's not right!" It took away from it a little because of that, but otherwise it was enjoyable enough to keep me entertained for a few hours.

Like I said, I did watch this in 2 days, so there was something right going on there. But I'll probably not watch it again unless I'm trying to show a friend who is also into the fandom.

What if your bias becomes your boyfriend!?

A no-brainer fluffy show to boost your serotonin!

As the episodes each average 20 minutes long, I understand that it can be really frustrating and annoying to wait for it every week. To enjoy this drama, you have to binge-watch it without any prior expectations or understanding what you're going to watch.

Storyline wise, it was simple, without much twist to it, but the characters were so well-spoken and written that I can't help but to like them. And one of the biggest plus points of this is that not only the MLs, the second couple was also adorable and cute. At first, Siwol seemed very robotic. But as the drama progressed, he slowly started to open himself in front of Aejoon. The Idol and fan aspect of this drama was very subtle, and it was more than enough. Even though we go through 10 episodes, the depth of other characters is still non-existent. It'd be great to see the storyline of the second leads because they felt really sweet and warm.

The OSTs were really nice, especially Junghoon's "Pure Love". It's been ringing in my ear since I heard it. Also, the sound effects really didn't bother me, even though they were very much on point, that they made the atmosphere really light and funny!

Personally, I think this drama is very forgettable like hundreds of other BLs as they lack impactful substance. But that doesn't mean it's bad. When I dived into the show blindly, obviously I had no expectations. I just wanted to watch something that'd close my brain's thinking circuits and let me enjoy a drama without any fuss. Guess what? I delivered exactly what I wanted. I enjoyed it more than I expected. 

The things I adored:
>The lead's height difference was huge! Oh my neck hurts lol.
>All of the leads were really good looking. Their screen presence is no joke!
>Kang Min's deep voice holds lot of weight while delivering the dialogues. Whenever he wants to sound honest, he lowers his voice and locks his eyes...oh I found it really charming!
>Kevin is just a adorable lil bunny! He's so damn cute ><
His smile, his scrunches when he gets excited, everything looks just so adorable.
>Idk if Kyusung and Jooha really matched the vibe, but both of them are really good actors. Their comedic timing is just perfect!!!

Overall, if you are up for some lighthearted romcom, then you're definitely going to have a good time with this cute and fluffy drama.

Light drama about reunion after fake confession

I watched this on January and i quite enjoy this decent watch even though not particularly groundbreaking. It's arguably the nice sweet romance drama. No angst and No melodrama included. No unnecessary supporting characters or plot points; the entire cast consists of mostly normal people. ML is scheming, while the FL is oblivious (a bit unaware of her own feelings).

Zhang Zihan x Wang Bingxiang combo is surprisingly fine to watch since i quite like bickering couple but for romance chemistry, it still below average to my standard. The plot is about FL make fake confession to ML, the ML falls for her, but she goes abroad, so they don't have a chance to be together. When they meet again, ML becomes a major client of the FL (a painter) and gets closer to her, pursuing her through various schemes.

The filters are natural, and there's no unnecessary background music. The filters are just right. The only downside is the height difference between the leads, which slightly diminishes their chemistry. Zhang Zi Han's acting is a bit over the top.

Overall, though, it's still a very good to watch.
