It got better 2H
I enjoyed the first few episodes but ep 10-20 was a little slow. I put it on hold for several months but decided to continue on a few days ago. The story and the pace vastly improved after ep 20 and I was able to enjoy and finish the second half much more easily.Dylan is top notch in this drama and the silly and sarcastic humor was enjoyable. I mostly enjoyed the secondary characters but the chemistry between the ML and FL was not that great. I wouldn’t even consider her the FL. There really wasn’t a FL in this drama.
I am now looking forward to S2. I hope it gets filmed and released soon this year.

A well-rounded romantic comedy with a charming small-town atmosphere.
A refreshing change of pace to actually watch a competent romantic comedy after some of the recent slop I had to endure. I'm looking at you Would You Marry Me? And Dynamite Kiss. It's well acted, somewhat funny, has a small-town romance(s), and a well-paced mature story despite the comedic backdrop.First, the romance. Good natural chemistry between ML and FL. A mature romance between two actual adults (35+ IRL) despite the goofball that is ML. No stupid love triangles or miscommunication tropes. They don't have time for poor writing because they have somewhat heavy issues to get through. There is a younger high school couple and an older couple to round out that small-town feeling. Honestly, I wasn't very interested in the older couple, but it's fine.
Romance and comedy aside, the show actually has a solid story to tell. I think that's what the show does best in regard to the story is that while there are numerous topics to cover, the show doesn't dwell on any of them for too long. The central uncle plot and FL's allegations cover the entire 12 episode run here and there, but everything else is handled promptly and with closure.

Season 5 - Brought the Entertainment
I've watched every SI and I always start the season excited, but end feeling let down. This season was no different but I would say the "down" part of it was slightly elevated. I think the best place to start is to just list my likes and dislikes about this season. I will also write some on the contestants and the coupling up at the end. If you do not want to read spoilers then don't read the end of the review. What I liked:
-Cooking together in a kitchen/eating place was back and I loved it!! Especially in the first few episodes when the contestants are meeting each other and flirting over cutting carrots and making rice.
-I thought the Inferno sets were really nice. The places the couples could hang out and talk looked comfortable and inviting.
-Paradise was enjoyable, which included some activities like bowling. It was nice that some activities were included as just watching couples eat and drink gets boring.
-Loved the couples photo shoot competition, and also the truth game they played.
-The competitions were also good. Matching up with colored balls where the pink ball was the kiss of death. Very funny!
What I didn't like:
-There is a certain amount of SI that just seems so contrived. Like the contestants are given a role to play and then they play it out, only some are really bad at playing their role. There are so many times when it doesn't feel natural with the contestants. But then reality shows are all about putting people in unnatural situations and see how they react.
-Dating is so different from this show. Korean dating is even different than this show. So it's frustrating to have to watch people "date" in an unnatural way. Really the only thing they do is have numerous conversations but they aren't allowed to know their age or what they do, which in Korea forms the foundation for how people communicate to each other, at least until they go to Paradise. So a great deal of this show is watching and listening to all these awkward conversations.
-For the first time, the panelists disappointed me. More often than not, when I was frustrated with the show, the panelists kept me entertained, but not this time. They did well in the first episodes, really funny and entertaining, but the last couple of episodes I found the panelists to be too judgmental. Almost mean. One example was when Hyun-woo made a confession about his feelings at the final dinner. I thought he was sweet and sincere. The panelists just made fun of him, and I thought what they said was quite rude. In Season 3, drama queen and asshole, Gwan-Hee, got away with so much bad behavior and the panelists for the most part excused it. In this season, they were especially hard on certain contestants who were not nearly as bad as Gwan-Hee.
-I didn't like that they cut out the final challenge and winning couple's dinner. We only saw bits and pieces. But they seemed to do this by making the final choice long and drawn out. I would have preferred the challenge and seeing the couple's date.
-It's getting annoying to watch scenes play twice, and lines repeated two or three times over.
My thoughts on the contestants and the couplings: Warning!! Spoiler Alert!! I actually do not believe any of these couples will end up together once the show is done. Let's just be real here. They are on this show for exposure and to inject some life into their careers.
1. Choi Mina Sue and Lee Sung-hun - Mina Sue was this season's drama queen and boy did she bring the drama. She was definitely the contestant everyone loved to hate. Sung-hun was a breath of fresh air for this show. Incredibly intelligent and successful, he didn't play mind games, just brought his calm and confidant self to the mix. He was a favorite of mine. He was really patient with Mina Sue as she proceeded to try on every guy on the island, but in the end they left together hand in hand.
2. Kim Goeun and Woo Sung-min- Goeun ended up being the female that three guys were vying for. She stayed mysterious to the very end drawing out the suspense endlessly in terms of who she would end up with. The panelists were all surprised when she chose Sung-min but I wasn't. She and her 2nd choice, I-geon, knew each other from a mutual acquaintance and I always wondered if she knew something about I-geon that we the audience didn't know and maybe it was a red flag(???). Who knows.
3. Kim Min-gee and Song Seung-il - these two were definitely the two funnest people on the island. They spoke very openly and honestly and said some things were just hilarious. They are the type of couple people enjoy hanging around because they're so funny together. My favorite of the season.
4. Lee Joo-Young and Kim Jae-Jin - they were the "artistic" couple. She a designer and he a dancer. They were really cute, romantic, and adorable to watch.
5. Park Hee-sun and Lim Su-been - a low-key couple that the producers tried to interject some drama into their relationship, but it just didn't work. They were cute and adorable but so very boring as well.
Others that didn't get picked - You can't talk about this season without talking about Jo I-geon. About as hot a guy as you can get. I saw him in the Kdrama The Trunk and he's smoking hot, hot, hot. He was brought on as a game-changer and he didn't disappoint. I'm sure he did this to get more exposure for his career and I hope he gets it. Also brought on as a game-changer was Lee Ha-eun. She got very little air time, but what I did see of her, she seemed really funny and a fun person to be around. Lastly, Ham Ye-Jin, Youn Hyun-Jae, and Shin Hyeon-woo who along with Ha-eun and I-geon were sitting there at the very end not getting picked. I enjoyed all of these contestants who came across as sincere and nice people. And it just goes to show that attraction is a weird and funny thing because sometimes the nicest people end up alone.

Good story, decent acting but sub-par editing and film production in general
The series had decent pacing and very good story, however, the editing was lacking in so many ways. wayyyy to much silence, lacking in music and music chosen often just didn't fit the scene. more so, they were some sound effects as it fits into the gnre of the series but they just stopped using them?? many scenes would've been improved with jsut some sounds and music. It's not just that, the way some scenes were filmed was just odd. camera angles didn't suit or it was too zoomed out or not enough angles and shots.
At first i thought if the two mains had better chemistry and everyone had slidhtly better acting series would've been so much better. but then i came to the conclusion while it could've made some eps better, it could NOT in any way carry the lack of good editing and filmography.
It was doomed.
also some scenes oddly felt like low production like what's going on.
spoiler:
that before the last scene on the sofa:
felt like they had good chemistry and it was such a good moment but tell me why thE HELL is the camera zoomed out so much like it's not the time man, you gotta zoom in for that. i get the far away view, i see the vision but it should've been mixed in with some zoomed in shots.
maybe the were working with one camera idk.
would've been better if the whole scene was in closer view in that case.
it was so so so a very promising story but the execution OH BOY. it's not THAT bad but damn like some scenes whew-
for that i cannot recommend re-watching BUT if u haven't watched it and are okay with sub-par editing go for it.
the editing doomed the show. itwas so sad cuz the design team did such a good job for the into just for the editing team to throw it away.
it was consistent it makes me wonder if the editing team got changed mid-way. idk man. just sad. i didn't notice in the earlier eps.
also sadly the chemistry wasn't that great between the two mains also, i feel like the make up on Jane wasn't like, good a lot of the time? idk, i feel like they did her dirty. didn't notice anyone else having make up like that.
lipstick shade was often off and scenes where she's in bed u can see she's in full on make up,, like they could've given her a softer look but alright.
i know i criticize the series a lot but honestly even after all this it was good. the story does carry it. would've given it a 4.5 otherwise but the story carried it fr.
still in the end it turned out to be sub-par. but it had SO MUCH POTENTIAL.
edit:
also there's a lot of random story-lines that got abandoned. last eps was just odd. idk like dynamic shifted a bit but we didn't see it happen.

Single Inferno season 5 review ?
🌟 Singles Inferno Season 5 – Couple Reviews
1. Double J Couple 🔥 (Rating: 10/10)
The undeniable highlight of the season. Their chemistry was natural, their interactions warm, and their journey consistent from start to finish, just that they were not giving enough screen time,😞. I loved their balance of tenderness and fun, making them the ultimate ship. A perfect 10/10—i couldn’t ask for more.
---
2. Goeun’s Choice (Rating: 1/10)
This pairing felt forced and lacked depth. The critique that Goeun should have picked no one resonates strongly—there was little spark, and even friendship outside the show seemed unlikely. A disappointing endgame decision that left me unsatisfied and make me start asking what was she thinking through her journey on single inferno?pls some one let me know
---
3.mingee Connection (Rating: 5/10)
This duo had NEVER had a genuine chemistry even during Thier conversations. While mingee was genuine, sungill was trying to get clarification from mina sue which didn’t end up well, so he decided to go back to the easy target mingee, if any viewer thinks this couple has genuine spark then you should rewatch all Thier scenes together and you will find out that it was one sided.mingee is just a good girl any guy will have and be happy if only sungill was more like jejin then they would have been no 1 couple. This bittersweet pairing will not last but ultimately fizzled out.if you think am wrong please let me know why?
---
4. Mina Sue’s Pairing (Rating: 3/10)
This ship felt one-sided. Mina Sue’s choice seemed more about avoiding ending up alone than genuine romantic interest. While they shared a good friendship, the lack of balance made the relationship unconvincing. A clear “abort mission” for Sam.
---
5. He sun / subeen Pairing (Rating: 7/10)
They didn’t start strong, but over time grew into one of the season’s best pairs. Lack of interest from subeen didn't give me any solid ground on their journey through our the show. from rocky beginnings to a ungrounded connection was at lest better i appreciated hesun for always keeping the door open and as for subeen learn to follow your choice even though it leads you to nothing 🫵.
---
6. Imaginary Couple 🥺 (Jejin ❤️ Goeun)
Though not an official endgame, this “imaginary couple” who have captured my hearts .Their chemistry sparked imagination, during the photoshoot and the way they talk to each other during that period who have been epic if jejin had picked her from the beginning.i loved shipping them despite the show’s outcome. Proof that sometimes the best ships are the imaginary ones.
---
7. Singles Inferno Endgame Couple (Critique: "lack of screen time for some contestants)
The final pairing left me and many viewers frustrated. The outcome felt predictable and lacked excitement, with accusations of giving more screen time to those (like goeun and sun gill)that Will give the show more views rather than given all equal screen time what will make us know what was really going on how grounded was each couple. Instead of a thrilling finale, I was left underwhelmed, questioning the authenticity of the show’s climax.
---
✨ Final Thoughts
Season 5 of Singles Inferno was a rollercoaster of emotions—some couples shined with genuine chemistry, while others felt mismatched or forced. The Double J Couple was the best and stole my heart as the season’s best ship, while others sparked debate and disappointment. Overall, this season proved to be the best along season 2 .once again I am passionately rooting for their connections on the real world.

A quick and enjoyable watch that I am going to miss
DisclaimerWhat I am writing here are my views and thoughts about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a higher or lower score and why it is better/worse than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly respect that.
Today marks the end of the series 'Spring Fever'. I adore this series so much that I couldn't wait for Mondays and Tuesdays to come so that I could watch the new episodes. Now, you may ask – is this series perfect? No, no, it's not, as I did get annoyed sometimes with the secondary couple. Yet, everyone else just made this series perfect. I, of course, fell in love with Bom-sik, the rescued dog. Whenever he appeared on the screen- he stole the show!
Besides Bom-sik, I can safely say that all of the secondary charcters (except maybe that of Choi Se Jin and her parents as they annoyed me to an extent) were enjoyable and I know that I will miss them as I have completed this series. This was truly a simple enjoyable rom com series to watch. I am glad that I gave it a chance as I would have really not know what I was missing. I would totally recommend this seires to others as it is relatively good.

Amazing adaptation
I've watched 14/32 episodes so far, and I can say I'm loving it. I might even say I'm suffering withdrawals from the lack of episodes to watch. I can't wait to see where this goes, it is a truly amazing drama, please give it a watch. The first few episodes are a bit cringey but once you get past that, it'll be smooth sailing. Was this review helpful to you?

Not captivating enough for me
Dont bother commenting on my review this is just my opinion which we are all entitiled to. As my title says it just is not captivating me enough. I dont feel any connection to any of the characters, nor care if anyone dies at this point. I love bailu and also like the ML from other shows ive seen him in but he takes a back seat to her in this show and his persona is just to calm and gentle. He plays a better character on the double. His character is just too boring and shes just the character weve seen over and over, the self righteous girl who always puts other before herself and would die to protect others etc. Nothing about the storyline is original. Im also watching the how dare you drama and i am really loving that one because even though that (falling into the story) trope has been done before, chang lei's character is a masterpiece and there is humor, seriousness, romance, scheming etc its kind of an all in one and its really fresh and captivating. This will just be one of those dramas i dont remember if i watched or not 2 years from now. So i just dropped it because i kinda feel like im wasting my time with it and i dont get that excited feeling when i press play, ive just been watching when the other shows im watching are all caught up and i have nothing else to watch. If you love it good for you, this is just my opinion. Was this review helpful to you?
A Drama Where A Fierce General And A Cursed Prince Fall Hard, Fast, and Forever
It’s an entertaining, well-rounded watch, especially for viewers who love romance-driven stories with devoted puppy male leads, strong female leads who fight for love, and a plot that prioritizes romance while weaving in action, humor, and light war politics.GYX, who I have only seen in soft roles, plays an army general here. The character she plays is both formidable and vulnerable, a woman who leads armies yet still longs and loves deeply. I like that she doesn't feel overly masculinized and her action scenes are incredible.
YZX plays a dual role with nuance. Early on, his character is pure devotion - a poisoned, masked prince whose world revolves entirely around the FL. Yes, he starts out as a devoted puppy, but it works because the story leans into that intensity. Once his memories return, his performance gains layers : internal conflict and heartbreak as he tries - and fails - to cut off his feelings
he chemistry is palpable and scorching between these two beautiful people. They look great together, and the romance is unapologetically front and center. The kisses are beautifully shot and intense.
This drama is romance heavy - War and political intrigue exist mainly as a backdrop rather than the main focus. As a romance junkie, I loved this choice. The stakes are high, but they never overshadow the emotional core.
Production Quality is high for a vertical drama. Costumes are rich and detailed, sets and scenery are stunning, fight choreography is well done and so is the OST.
Does it lack some narrative depth? Yes. The war and political elements are underdeveloped, and the ‘Gu-worm magic’ instant attraction limits the emotional complexity the romance could have explored. That said, for a vertical drama, I was ok with it being a bit surface level - and more importantly, it remained consistently engaging and entertaining throughout.

The dirty bum, bum, bum, bum, bum
A whole family of dirty fucking bums. I don't even know how to feel about this show. I can't even lie, it was so bad. This is a skippable show, I can't lie to y'all. There was way too much happening, but also nothing, so watch if you want. I would give it an 8 (8.4) out of 10. I am going to say what I liked, what I didn't, and then do an episode overview.Offroad was sick of his submissive, cute roles and said I want to be evil, but not normal evil, just downright diabolically evil. And you know what, I was obsessed with it, and I think that he did a great job. Too great of a job, I fear. Everyone did a great job with acting because I was so fucking pissed the entire time, lmao. OFF LOOKED GOOD IN THIS. I might just be into evil-looking guys, but my lord, he looked good (also, he has a fatty). Daou and Offroads' chemistry was nice in this. I love the power bottom dynamic; that was very fun. Especially good acting in Chet's character. GREAT JOB, he got into that shit, oh my lord. Park (HOW DID IT FEEL TO HAVE THAT DICK REACH YOUR DANG STOMACH WITH ALL THAT MEAT RIDDING) and Chet almost made me bawl, I can't lie. I am going to need a special episode or something. We do like a joint special with the heart killers, idc if we are in different companies, make it happen. That's about it, yay Off and Daou.
Holy fuck. The same thing happened OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR 10 FUCKING EPISODES. Right when you thought they were going to change stuff up, the plot folds back in on itself, and they continue to fuck around in your face. The plot is interesting, but they need to spice it up more. Family betrayal over and over again, and it got so fucking boring even with all of the action. Peem was just straight evil for the love of the game. He had no reason to do it, but he kept fucking being so evil, and it was so funny, but also made the plot fold in on itself. The title should have been something along the lines of family, BECAUSE THAT IS ALL WE FUCKING DID, THE ENTIRE SHOW. And it was boring, it was so boring. Missed opportunity for so many romances between the guard dogs. DAMN DOGS ALL OF THEM. I think if the plot had been continuous and not a run around, then this show would have been better. It was fun, and I liked the idea, but it was just so poorly executed that it made this unbearable. Also, the whole thing with Risa. YOUR DAD DOESN'T HATE YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE A GIRL, YOUR DAD HATES YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE INCOMPETENT AS A MOTHER FUCKER. Everything that she had to do, she failed at. I mean, they are all not mentally fit for this shit, but she especially isn't because she is so focused on taking her brothers down that she can't do her job. They all are like this, but at least Chet and Peem can do their jobs and fuck around; she can't. She pissed me off. Still so mad at Park and Chet. The ending was mediocre, and I don't know how to feel at all. WE KILL THE ENTIRE CAST, CHET, RISA, HER BODY GUARD, ALL OF HER OTHER GUARDS, PARK, (and Peem technically), and there is no one left. WHY DID WE DO THAT? Just bad fucking writing. Also, our couple had a max of 3 minutes in a bullshit happy ending about Peem saying he didn't want to live this life anymore. WHY DIDN'T WE DO THAT LIKE 3 EPISODES AGO? HUH? DUMB ASS. SOMEONE TAKE JEANS AWAY FROM DAOU AND OFFROAD, PLEASE. Y'all look so weird in the slim thick baddie jeans. WHY DO DAOU AND OFFROAD ALWAYS GET TERRIBLE PLOTS? THAI DIDDY LMAO. He just randomly pulled up. The whole plot with the lover before Than was awful, and I don't know why they did that. Also, the poor character writing made this harder to enjoy as well. THE GUN SHOTS, OH MY LORDDD. GET OUT OF MY FACE. Also, a few continuity errors in this, too, mainly at the end, how was he bleeding if he HAD THE VEST ON? ARE YALL DUMB? LARD, THIS WHOLE SHOW IS LARD. Yeah, so the whole thing is trash besides acting and chemistry.
Episode overview time. "I hope this is good because they have such good chemistry and get such bad shows." They got another bad show, I fear. "The brother lowkey looks like Jimmy if he actually looked his age and didn't drink the fountain of youth, and the sisters fine as fuck lmao." "Diddy ass party. Off has chem with EVERYONE." "Meat rider. Chet's bodyguard is a fucking meat rider, and I know you’re in love with him, but hop off of his dick, dude, my fucking God." " I don’t trust this sister anymore. I don’t know, she’s giving me terrible vibes right now, and I don’t trust anybody, but like the music that’s playing in the background when she says specific things makes me not trust her." "HOW TO SPELL YOU ARE CAPITAL FUCKED PEEM. BROS A WHORE MY LORD. Why do you need a sugar daddy? You are rolling in it." "Will Than actually get with Peem or will he fuck every other guy in the show before that happens?" lmaooo. "Hey, I have never been held accountable in my life, have no idea how to regulate his emotions, and I am EVIL FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME." "There is so much happening, but this show is oddly boring. Like the same shit keeps happening over and over lmao. Chet knows he's evil, and he has his reasons. BRO IS DOING IT FOR THE LOVE OF THE FUCKING GAME. JUST BC HE CAN. Off was sick of playing submissive little bitch roles lmao. I am actually obsessed with his poorly written character, lmao. JUST EVIL BC HE CAN." "Also, the same thing keeps happening over and over again. How many times can we repeat this shit, oh my lord? BE frrrr, how did he even get fucking shot oh my god. If we took Risa out of the picture, I think Chet and what's his face would hate each other a lot less." "DONT LET HER TURN YALL AGAINST EACH OTHER. WHATS THE MORAL OF THIS STORY, DONT BE A DIRTY BUM? A whole family of dirty bums. Also, the sister is so incompetent, that's why yo daddy hates you." "Oh my god, Chet and Park are actually gonna make me fucking cry. YALL SOME DAMN DOGS. park what the hell? JUST CAUGHT HELLA BODIES. THE ENTIRE SHOW JUST DIED.. I DONT KNOW WHAT I AM SUPPOSED TO DO WITH ANY OF THIS. Yay, our main couple, I guess."
I don't know. The idea behind this is fun, but it was just very poorly executed. Watch it if you want. Okay bye!

This is Not Primarily a BL !
And I don't mean that in some frustrated, "I didn't get enough yearning" take, no, I mean that, most BL is centered around the two leads on whatever path that looks like, with their love or want or yearn for each other being one of the main objectives, sometimes the only objective. However, that is not the case for GBYFD. This is a horror/mystery with a little romance thrown in because, why not?Let's Dive In.
GBYFD has one of the strongest openings I’ve seen in a while. The first few episodes are undeniably the highlight of the series. Visually, it’s striking, the gore is genuinely gory, the horror elements feel unsettling and immersive, and the pacing flows with a steady, confident rhythm. From the very beginning, it knows what tone it wants. As an added bonus, we’re given two couples, which keeps the emotional investment high. Personally, Michael and TopTen were my favorites. I loved their exes-to-lovers dynamic and the workplace tension layered into their relationship. Michael’s red hair? A win. Their chemistry? Even better. I was fully on board with them.
Pavel as Singha is brilliant. Pavel in tight shirts and an arm tattoo is perfection. Pooh definitely shown that he has leveled up in his acting. as the ghost-seeing son of a spiritually corrupted father, Thup is scared, He's almost extremely repressed from the world outside of his spiritual views, and needed Singha as his guide, or new moral compass. They're slow-burn until they're not, and it ends up being too underwhelming once they've established themselves.
The story is great, but obviously, not very logical. Lots of things happen that shouldn't, but this is fictional and their whole investigation is based on ghosts and spirits, so I'll try to take it with a grain of salt. The real issue is pacing. What starts off gripping gradually becomes repetitive, especially toward the middle and end. The mystery loses some of its edge. Honestly, this could have been tightened into ten episodes for a stronger overall impact. It’s also worth noting again: this is not primarily a BL. The romances are not the focal point, and that’s reflected in the toned-down intimacy, especially when compared to something like Pit Babe. If you go in expecting romance to drive the narrative, you may be disappointed. If you go in for horror and mystery with romantic subplots, it works much better.
Rating:
Story: 8/10 - Interesting. It get's a little a boring toward the middle/end, but it still isn't enough to completely rid me of its content.
Acting: 8.5/10 - It's good. I like it. Pooh brings on a better performance.
Music: 6/10 - Didn't pay attention to it.
Recommendation Value: 6/10 - If you like horror and mystery, yes. If not, this can be a skip. None of the romances are just so good that you have to watch, but it's still a nice story.

Just when I thought romcoms weren't romcoming anymore
Okay I'm going to get straight to the point: I love this drama. It's exactly what I look for in romcoms, funny, chaotic, absolutely unserious, and with great chemistry between the leads. It has the right level of drama and the resolutions were quick and well done, with no unnecessary plots. Of course it's not perfect and I know this kind of drama isn't for everyone, especially because of all the absurd situations it has but you should take it for what it is: a drama that's just there to make you happy and have a good time, nothing else. I truly enjoyed every episode until the end and this drama set the bar high for me in terms of romcoms. But as I always say, that's just my opinion and I definitely think you should give it a chance. Was this review helpful to you?

I Loved This Until I Didn't
Burnout Syndrome follows the same, formulaic sequence that all GMMTV series have: I love it (episode 1-5), okay, something is dipping (6-8) what am I watching for (9-10). Burnout Syndrome felt like this series that could be GMMTV's anomaly, and yet, it unfortunately was not. Some of the best performances I have seen out of all of these established actors, so it sucks that the story cannot say the same thing.Let's Dive In.
Let's get one thing straight; this is the best work I've seen out of Off and Gun. I was worried with Off's portrayal as the lonely and stoic Koh, but we see the very intricate details he placed into his character, and by the end, we see a dramatic disposition turned truly beautiful from him. Gun is Gun. Gun could literally never do anything bad. His performance as Jira is heartbreaking and poignant and I loved it dearly. Dew as a new comer (for me) surprised the hell out of me. I did not think I was going to go into this loving him and his character as much as I did. I was expecting him to be treated as a throw-off second love interest, and instead, they might've told his story the best.
The problem? This series ends with zero morals. Jira throughout this series rejects and criticizes Koh's utilization of AI. Even after his art is used like some lab rat for Koh's new technology, he still ends up with him. What. the. fuck. So what is the moral of the story? Deal with it? Deal with what's going on? Oh well?
If BL Thailand didn't have some stringent rules of pairings and couples, Jira and Pheem would've ended up together, no questions asked. While Pheem has his own list of problems, he's agitated with how much he cares for Jira, and is even more upset with himself that he let himself get so attached. He tries his best at helping Jira, and nothing works, less because of Jira, and more because Koh is the walking, living, breathing devil.
This worked so well because it felt so different than another other series, cinematography-wise, pacing, the story, the way intimacy through nudity and art is shown. And then they completely fumbled the ball in the end, which is just such a let down.
If I was rating the first half of this, I would've told you 10s across the board. I cannot believe that I didn't end up loving this like I was so sure that I would.
Rating:
Story: 7.5/10 - Excellent story, a new, intimate story we haven't seen out of GMMTV yet, but they completely ruined it by the end. The audio was also some of the worst that I've heard it be in a while.
Acting: 9/10 - Every one does beautiful, even Emi, even AJ.
Music: 6/10 - Didn't pay much attention to it.
Recommendation Value: 7/10 - I think the first half of this deserves every audience it can get. The second half, I have no words.

Middling. Nothing more, nothing less.
This will not win awards. It will not leave a lasting impression. People will not rave about it. It doesn't have any hidden political agendas nor does it require much thought, if any, in regards to the simple story being told. Its just a basic rom com full of the usual misunderstandings blown out of proportions, imaginary saves from harm, and overdramatic confessions. It more it less follows the genre true to form and has the expected ending as its finishing touch. It simply fills the space and offers a few hours of escape~

Beautiful world building, lost me near the end
I got hooked in by the murder mystery game and how magical the production was in that world. Getting into the narrative of the show I thought the characters weren't as goofy as in other dramas where I'm constantly cringing and begging for a serious moment. It was very well paced and I felt like we were really given time to settle in with the dynamics between all of the characters. And they made me actually care about the architecture industry for a bit, it takes some dedication to take the professional context of a romance drama that seriously and I appreciated it.I didn't particularly dislike Pei Zhen for most of it. The story made it easy to empathize with him, and he really just wanted something to brighten up his life. I liked him as a foil to Xiao Zhi Yu. He definitely wasn't right for Hu Xiu though, and behaved immaturely toward her and Xiao Zhi Yu.
I wish the murder mystery game had been more important to the plot, like if it was a genuine hobby the main characters were committed to and they immersed themselves in that world fully as a pastime, because I liked how they expressed themselves when they were in game and I wish I could've seen more play running tandem with the drama. Also I play role playing games with friends so I'm a bit biased.
I really just dropped it because I didn't like how Hu Xiu treated Xiao Zhi Yu when her parents got to her first about his past. In general I really can't imagine blaming the son for the alleged actions of his (dead) father. Especially like, if she knows who his father is now she knows how his father died and that Xiao Zhi Yu was young when it happened, hello, don't you love that man and want to comfort him over that major trauma? Plus he's had to keep it secret his whole life to make a living and y'all are just now getting close. I skipped ahead a few episodes to see what they made of all that just to see her crying about him keeping secrets again. That's when I knew I'd lost interest.
That being said, the first half or so of the season was so engaging I will watch it again just to experience that. And I still would recommend it, because it was so much fun for a while I was certain I would finish it, and I've never been certain of that with a drama before.
