The Blood of Youth: Quest of Heroic Hearts

Lead female was good but her character was over hyped more than xia xhioa I liked that villain ye zixin. But still the actors gave their all. And the bond chemistry of both male leads keeps me going.
Still can be better story, more detailed scenes, like every classic drama have. But ok as both male leads covered for me. Loved them. ❤️

Ingeniously weaved web of transmigration serving romance and laughter
This is a refreshing take on transmigration plots. Only a few leads are EQUALLY AND PERFECTLY MATCHED as the two leads. This drama is highly recommended!Plot - The plot is far more than what it seems initially. It starts off funny and engaging and then traps you into a more complex and deep storyline.
Surprisingly, this drama has underlying themes that revolve around egalitarianism and it has some fiery speeches that deeply reflect on socialist values. Its very moving! None of these elements feel heavy because of the humor and the writers need to be credited for that.
Male lead 🌟- This is one of my favorite male lead characters. His mind is like a secret cave. You don't know what's inside, you don't kow how deep it is, how far it goes and what's at the end of it. His actions carry a golden retriever energy which makes him look completely harmless. This is a deadly combination.
RYAN CHENG IS ONE OF THE MOST MERITORIOUS ACTORS I HAVE SEEN IN CDRAMALAND. I CAN'T IMAGINE ANYONE ELSE IN THIS ROLE. Not only has he perfected his "tyrannical" look but can easily switch on the romantic soft eyes while balancing a mysterious persona on the side. Did I say that his comic timing is also very natural? ❣️
Female lead 🌟- The Female lead is super smart, funny, logical and she is the eyes of the audience. She is one whose moves the plot and uncovers it layer by layer. The FL has the street smarts but its her big heart that you will fall in love with.
WANG CHURAN❣️is genuinely one of the BEST actresses in cdramaland. She's a treat to watch. This woman has successfully served hundreds of emotions in this drama.
None of the supporting characters are predictable and that's what keeps you hooked onto this drama. You don't know on whose side they will end up and how they will react to the challenges in front of them.
Overall, this drama has -
1) transmigration
2) Funny and smart Leads
3) Palace politics
4) Secret personas
5) partners to lovers
6) complex web of mystery

One of the best historic dramas to relive one's stress
If you are stress watch this drama. It is so addicting and full of comedy. It also teaches never judge a book by its cover. Novel FL is a bit dumb to see that Novel ML is using her as a bait against emperor and noble consort You. Rest of the is relaxing and best for binge watching. I would like to recommend watching as its funny and light hearted. Was this review helpful to you?
watch for ML, fast forward SL storylines
I enjoyed the ML's performance and that is the main reason to watch this kdrama, IMO. The acting overall was good but the secondary character's storyline were beyond bad! Especially the married friend-I could barely stand that part and I think I would have just stopped watching completely if I didn't start fast forwarding basically every time the main leads were not onscreen. I thought the chemistry and storyline for the main leads was great and very heartwarming. I loved the grandma and her relationship with the ML.Was this review helpful to you?
Poor plot
I was going to pass on this because I thought that the Webtoon itself was positively bad, but I gave this a shot because enjoyed “Miss Night and Day” and thought that Choi Jin Hyuk gave a good performance in that. My instincts were correct. The plot is a bit reworked from the Webtoon but not enough to make it worthwhile. I don’t think that I can finish watching this one even if I want to see if my theory about the backstory is correct, It may be a good story for some viewers, but I feel like it’s unrealistic and insulting to women’s intelligence and thought process. Was this review helpful to you?
Beyond my Daily Dose of Laughter
What a fun drama! Each day, I look forward to it’s airing episode. The plot is simple - Pei is a game programmer who loses his job at a typical exploitive company who slaves their employees away b/c he wrote a document to help employees advocate for themselves. It reminds me of Jerry Maquire (1996 film). Penniless, unemployed, discouraged, he is approached by a tycoon who offers him a job - to start his own company. The goal is to lose $$. If his company makes $, he only get paid a low base salary. This leads to some very fun, outrageous scenerios and makes for excellent comedy.
Acting:
The cast is fantastic - everyone from main actors to even side characters, like the twin receptionists. You can’t help but notice them. Everyone character is quirky and funny in their own unique way. No sure how they manage that but it’s just so funny. And each of them carry their character so well. Even the lackey of the baddie. They all work together so well to make you laugh, sometimes a chuckle and other times RFTL.
Music and sounds:
Perfectly complements the story. I do enjoy the pop songs.
Directing / storytelling:
The set up for the comedy is so well done you just can’t help but laugh. However, what’s great is that the story is deeper than just laughs. Characters are developed and we care for them. The pacing never drags. We are left always wanting to know what’s going to happen next. What is Pei going to come up next? How is this failure idea possibly going to turn around? It also pokes fun at the various industries - entertainment industry, gaming industry, and more. It even stimulates our intellect with word play, riddles, poetry, puns, etc. It’s lighthearted with an underlaying theme that looks at the value of a human being. Very touching. I even shed some tears. So, many layers to enjoy and absorb this drama.
So, is this a romantic drama? NO, but there are a few hints of romance. Is it good? DEFINITELY. It is so worth my time compared to so many other dramas I’ve watched over the years.

a good watch with mixed emotions
The Japanese version had always been on my watchlist, but I never got around to it. When I came across the Korean version, I decided to give it a try (and now I’m planning to watch the Japanese one next).Without spoiling anything, the movie starts off gently, and I couldn’t help but smile while watching the early scenes. The friendship between the characters was beautifully portrayed, it was so warm and heartwarming. Their bond felt natural and genuine, which made those moments really enjoyable to watch.
I went in expecting to end up crying, but emotionally it didn’t hit me as strongly as I had anticipated. The pacing felt a bit uneven at times, which may have affected the emotional buildup.
Overall, though, it was a good watch.

Haaa that was nice
A really simple light watch. When i read that it's an adaptation of a korean webtoon. I knew this was gonna be good plot wise. I really feel they've done a really good job with the live action probably the best adaptation I've watched so far cz usually the adaptation kinda felt choppy for me especially in KBL. The actors and the characters are soo damn adorable. I really loved the supportive friends and also the engagement. We rarely see an engagement in KBLs probably cz gay marriage is not legal in korea yet. One this i have to point is that the rings the used for the engagement are both male rings usually in thai BLs I've observed they use a female one for the bottom so that's one thing i absolutely loved. Why 9? Probably cz i don't like the step brother plot although they were not exactly step brother more like a kid Tae's mom took in. Also the time skips they should have added a caption like "x time later" or something but they didn't so it confused me a little.

Nor Perfect, but is a story of LIFE & LOVE
Congratulations to all the cast!In my opinion, both love stories/relationships are beautiful.
To all the people out there, i do not understand this obsession with second couple syndrome in many series. A series is good because of all the people involved. You may like/love one character more than other, but no need for hate for the other like saying you watch only for one couple etc etc. People should have some empathy. Life is difficult for everyone for millions of reasons, so we should at least appreciate everyone's work, especially the work of people who entertain us, the viewers.
I know that what people are looking to find in a tv series is happy endings, but real life happens every day as we see, people breaking up and the saddest is people dying everyday, and especially young people. And seeing this happening in real life is way more heartbreaking. I myself am very sensitive this period with what is happening in the world everyday, and want to see only happiness in tv, but life happens, and this series teaches us that Humans should talk their worries, their doubts, their frustrations with their partners, friends and family. They should say sorry when is needed, they should support each other, they should tolerate more, and above all they should say I Love You to the people they love, because life is too short.

Extremely toxic, but so good!
Wow this was one of the most toxic bl drama's i have seen, but it was so good! The story was great, complicated and with several plot twists. And oh my, the actors who played those two psycho's did such an amazing job.The visuals were amazing and the music very good!
The acting was top notch and the chemistry between the mains was great, so were the kisses.
This is a must watch! I will definatly watch this many more times in the future.

Out of expectation!
"The Truth" does not rely on sensory stimulation to attract attention, nor does it depend on sensational or gimmicky shots to appear innovative. There is no pretentious wordplay or affected posturing. Instead, it is simple and realistic: a group of people each doing their job, handling one case after another. It feels grounded and true to life—especially relatable for working people.Solving crimes involves danger and hardship. When busy, they barely have time to eat a hot meal; they spend little time with their families. Even during downtime, they must remain on call at all times. They may have to leave halfway through a movie or walk away in the middle of a date. The series shows the real working conditions of criminal investigators. The peace and stability we enjoy come from the burdens they shoulder.
The characters are not distant or lofty figures, nor are they unrealistically glorified. The show does not deliberately dramatize suffering for emotional manipulation. Ye Qian carries scars in his heart, yet he never complains to others; instead, he devotes himself fully to solving cases. Leng Qiming’s father is ill, and he handles everything alone without resentment or negativity. They are not flawless heroes—they are ordinary people in everyday life.
This authenticity makes the emotional portrayal convincing and the plot immersive. Yet their sense of mission and responsibility enables them to perform heroic deeds in ordinary positions. The brutality revealed in the dismemberment case, the moral ambiguity in the body-dumping case—every day they confront the darkest aspects of humanity, all for the sake of public peace. As the title suggests: leave no room for luck—there is no perfect crime. When the wind passes, it leaves traces.
As for Gong Jun, his portrayal of Ye Qian is equally subtle and understated. Without exaggerated movements or dramatic gestures, he conveys complexity through restraint. For example, when he learns that Dan Qing is the partner of a drug trafficker, and later while practicing at the shooting range, his eyes reveal hatred, anger, and inner conflict—hatred for his former cowardice, anger at his emotional wavering, and the struggle between professional duty and personal affection. His micro-expressions are precisely controlled, and his body language is detailed and natural, making the character deeply convincing.
There is also the scene where he pretends to accept a date, is drugged by Dan Qing, drinks water in the room, then vomits violently in the bathroom as memories flash through his mind. The audience does not feel that they are watching a performance; it is as if the actor and the character have become one. What viewers see is not exaggerated theatricality, but someone living authentically in a real space—without visible traces of acting. At that moment, he is not Gong Jun; he is Ye Qian.
In today’s film and television market, where audiences increasingly seek authenticity, it is only natural that "The Truth", with its realistic storytelling and genuine performances, has been well received.

Why make a budget for this ??
A sequel we could have done withoutPLOT: An old enemy, recently released from prison, tries to frame everyone on the eve of Jack and Joker's wedding.
Joker is eventually killed. Jack refuses to believe he's dead and marries a puppet dressed as the Joker.
In the end, he accepts his beloved's death and promises to move on and be happy...
### Poorly written story
### Weird acting (the actors must have struggled to commit to such a script)
### Nonsense, unnecessary sad ending.
=> Sad and awful!!
*****************************************
=> Triste et nul !!

Bizzare production about pseudo-incest.
I watched this since i kind have soft spot of both leads. The premise not for everyone since it contains pseudo incest between stepmom and step son. You can skip this if you are morally right person. but the execution is weak. The directing is mediocre, and the plot is ordinary. The forbidden love and tension between the ML and FL aren't portrayed, wasting the potential of Ji Jun Liang and Zhao Fei. Both have potential chemistry and i feel the director didn't catch the potential and the kisses was hot but lack of tension. ML's father casting was quite too old and i think it's ML grandfather.
The plot is about FL unintentionally helps the ML's father (in a wheelchair) pick up his phone, and the father, seeing her as his ideal woman, uses unfair means to coerce her parents into marrying him. Both leads fighting against ML's father felt too childish and mess. It's unclear what the ML and FL are seeking revenge for.
The interactions between ML and FL the variety show lack any sense of tension or forbidden love. It just adds verbal sparring. Furthermore, ML's easy victory over his father seems too simplistic and predictable.
I feel this script could have been filmed much better, but both the dialogue and the storyline were lacking and if this not for the leads i would dropped this more faster.
Only for hardcore fans.

Giving Oneself a Chance!
I bumped into this while just going through Netflix, not sure what to watch. Also, it kept on getting recommended to me, by Netflix. One of those 'we think you will like this' and okay Netflix😂😜I am so glad I clicked on it. I enjoyed the themes of adult, mature relationships, belonging, following your dreams and second chances in life. Also, also, please allow me to say the actor who plays the character of Shun is drop dead gorgeous. He gives the kind of gaze that would have you drop to your knees or I should say, I would. 🤞😁
It was warm, it was wholesome and held my attention from beginning to end. Even though the end was a smidge meh, but it's still very watchable.
I loved it.😍 A strong recommend.
