Is that....a healthy relationship in my steamy drama???

I know not to expect much from MBS dramas, especially ones with sex at the core of their premise, so imagine my surprise when this wasn't just two hot people rolling around in a bed, but it instead explored healthy masculinity and attitudes towards sex with open communication between a secure, trusting, and adorable couple!!

What really made it all work was the chemistry between the two leads. Not only are they both extremely good-looking, but their interactions felt so natural and sweet, which made their intimate scenes easy to watch, and there was also effort put into showing their bond outside the bedroom, so it didn't feel like two horndogs just constantly going at each other lol. Shida Kohaku in particular was really great in her role; it couldn't have been easy given how young she is, but she was able to sell the playful seductiveness of Mitsuki so well, and she even nailed her emotional scene in the last episode. (Also, does she have an figure skating background because she could really move in those ice rink scenes!!)

It might not have been the most in-depth look, but I appreciated how they approached the topic of what it means to "be a man" from different angles. Even a clumsily written character like Saeki broke through heteronormative ideas in his brief arc (but also I probably could've done without him randomly inserting himself into the main couple's relationship lol).

And while there are important themes that can be extracted, above all, this drama is just /fun/. Sex is usually depicted in J-drama as a serious, passionate undertaking, but here we have a vibrator on an RC car attacking the ML, like come on lmao. Given that one of the actors is an idol who needs to preserve his image somewhat, I think it was a smart decision to use the silly ice rink metaphors for most of the sex scenes to avoid the awkwardness of trying to delicately capture it on screen while adding a quirky element that bolsters the playful nature of the drama rather than defaulting to a fade-to-black. It's definitely one of the most approachable dramas of this sort, and overall, a true breath of fresh air!

Khemjira é uma obra prima

Khemjira é de fato um dos maiores bl's já produzidos nesta indústria, eu o considero uma obra prima pela história que vai muito além de um romance leve e fofo entre esses dois personagens principais, os personagens que compõem essa história são essenciais e marcantes, a trilha sonora é muito bonita e cativante nos momentos certos e pela forma como a história mergulha na cultura local trazendo elementos de xamanismo tailandês, crenças tradicionais, folclore sobrenatural

Quando eu comecei assistir ao bl,tudo o que eu sabia pela sinopse é que teríamos a história da nossa Khemjira, que nasceu em uma família amaldiçoada onde os homens morrem antes dos 21 anos e que para protegê-lo, sua mãe lhe deu um nome feminino, mas ao completar 19 anos, fantasmas vingativos começam a persegui-lo, e com isso ele deve lutar pela sua vida.

Enquanto busca formas de sobreviver com a ajuda do seu amigo Jet, Khem é apresentado ao Xamã Pharan, que embora relutante em se envolver com a maldição kármica devido a uma promessa que ele fez ao seu avó, o antigo Xamã da aldeia de nunca se envolver no karma de ninguém (o que é explicado logo no segundo ep e retomado em outro ep sobre os motivos do seu avó pedir para ele prometer. Mas o Mestre não consegue ignorar o impulso de querer proteger o Khem, lutando contra tudo o que lhe foi ensinado e pela promessa feita, ele é movido por uma força transcendental que os conecta Pharan ao Khem, então aos poucos ele começa a protegê-lo não só para proteger sua aldeia e sim para proteger o Khem.

Era um pouco óbvio que o Khem teria uma par romântico que de alguma forma estaria junto com ele lutando pela sua sobrevivência, o que eu não esperava de nenhuma forma é que a história iria se mostrar muito mais do que apenas aquela sinopse, quando entendemos a maldição que ronda o Khem, o motivo dela e de quem lançou, como vidas passadas estão ligadas ao agora tudo fica ainda melhor e os episódios conseguem transmitir e contar essas histórias de vidas passadas.

Todos os episódios são ótimos, mas quando vamos chegando no episódio 7 para frente tudo fica ainda melhor, a ligação com os personagens deixa a gente tão envolvido que quando conhecemos a história de Ramphueng não é difícil entender a sua dor e a partir daí é uma sucessão de momentos tristes que fazem os olhos ficam encharcados. Os primeiros minutos do último episódios fizeram me debulhar em lágrimas, aquela cena do Khem e do Mestre é de cortar o coração principalmente pela carga emocional que o episódio anterior já vinha trazendo.

Não vou mentir que em alguns momentos a Khemjira me deu uma irritada, o pai ausente dele então nem se fala, o garoto amaldiçoado desde sempre, a mãe morreu também devido a maldição e o pai se ordenou monge e deixou o Khemjira largado no mundo. Mas como isso é só uma irritação da minha parte em nada diminuindo a história desse bl que é uma das coisas mais tristes e bonitas ao mesmo tempo.

Has potential if there is going to be a second season...

I liked the premise, and the main couple was compelling, but unless there are plans for a second season I gotta admit this was disappointing. The second couple added nothing to the story, if anything it felt like they took screentime from what could have been spent to the main couple. The last episode felt very rushed, and new information that had no place being there unless there is going to be continuation for this series, was added last minute. Virtually nothing got resolved either. As a standalone I would not say this was a good series, but with so many lose ends I am very hopeful that the story will continue, and if that happens I will update my review and rating for this season.

The (rather painful) conclusion of the series

PLOT: Heartbroken, Seo Joon must deal with the unexplained disappearance of Ji Woo. After a year of searching, he finds Ji Woo having opened a restaurant (unsuccessfully) in his hometown. He will do everything he can to help him, understand him, and win him back. He clashes with Ji Woo's ex-girlfriend, who left him five years earlier during a crisis and while traumatized.

+++ I really like Son Woo Hyun as ML; his acting is very natural. Kim Kang Min plays a stoic, unemotional character.
+++ Very good overall cast.
+++ Well-crafted direction.
+++ Good OSTs.

### Painful Story: Ji Woo's behavior doesn't really make sense. Okay, he's haunted by his past, but his instinct to run away and his rejection of Seo Joon don't make sense!
### The cliché of the ex coming back to win him back years later is overused (and above all, unrealistic).

=> Thank goodness for HE, because the viewer suffers during part of the series!

Suite et fin (assez painfull) de la série

PLOT: Seo Joon doit faire face à la disparition, sans explication, de Ji Woo. Après 1 an de recherches, il retrouve Ji Woo ayant créé 1 restau (sans succès) ds son village natal. Il va mettre tt en œuvre pr l'aider, le comprendre et le reconquérir. Il se heurte à l'ex girlfriend, qui a quitté Ji Woo en pleine crise et avec trauma, 5 ans + tôt.

+++ J'aime bcp Son Woo Hyeon en ML, il a 1 jeu très naturel. Kim Kang Min joue 1 personnage stoïque, peu émotif.
+++ Très bon cast général.

### Story painfull : Le comportement de Ji Woo n'a pas vraiment de logique. OK, il est hanté par son passé, mais son instinct de fuite et ses rejets de Seo Joon ne font pas sens !
### Le cliché de l'ex qui vient reconquérir des années + tard, est usé (et surtout, irréaliste).

=> Heureusement qu'il y a une HE, parce que le viewer souffre pdt 1 partie de la série !

Sobre as células de Yumi, eu nem fiz resenha das duas primeiras temporadas porque, pra mim, as três funcionam como uma história completa, quase como acompanhar toda a vida da Yumi, vendo ela amadurecer através das experiências, dos amores, das dores e de tudo que ela viveu, é incrível levar assim!!!

Dos três relacionamentos, o Babi foi o que mais mexeu comigo. Ele era maduro, romântico e extremamente fofo. Quando ele vacilou daquela forma, acho que consegui sentir a dor da Yumi de verdade. E eu entendi totalmente ela não conseguindo seguir com o casamento depois daquilo, porque seria muito difícil voltar a se sentir segura. Acho que tudo aquilo também moldou ela pra se tornar quem ela foi quando finalmente encontrou alguém que realmente era pra ela.

O primeiro namorado, eu também gostava bastante (e, convenhamos, era o mais bonito kkkkk), mas faltava diálogo, confiança e maturidade dos dois lados. Já o Babi incentivou a Yumi, ajudou ela a crescer e até levou ela a ser a mulher que conhecemos ao lado do nosso prota Shin e enfim… O MARIDO, né? Hihihi

E eu entendo perfeitamente o final. Apesar de eu achar que poderiam ter desenvolvido mais o relacionamento deles (mostrando ela conhecendo os pais dele, os dois lidando com dificuldades juntos, coisas que revelariam ainda mais a firmeza da relação, ainda assim não achei ruim). Funcionou do jeito que foi entregue, pelo menos pra mim!

Eu não sou contra relações intensas ou imediatistas quando os dois estão na mesma página e buscam o mesmo propósito. E acho que o drama conseguiu mostrar exatamente isso: relacionamentos reais, pessoas reais, dificuldades reais e superações reais, sem ficar naquela fantasia exagerada.

Muitas vezes eu me via na Yumi, principalmente nessa sensação de solidão e de achar que outra pessoa viria pra me completar. Mas ainda bem que a gente aprende que a pessoa certa não vem pra completar, vem pra transbordar. Que crescemos juntos, e que respeito, confiança e parceria precisam ser mútuos, nunca só um lado lutando.

Vou sentir falta das células kkkkkkk. Às vezes fico pensando como seriam as minhas, já que passam uns 300 milhões de pensamentos pela minha cabeça por segundo. Deve ser um caos completo, mas também muito engraçado. No fim, acho que estamos sempre tentando lutar pelo nosso melhor, assim como as células da Yumi.

É um drama divertido, leve e muito gostoso de acompanhar. Você se envolve tanto que parece que as situações dos relacionamentos aconteceram com você também kkkkkkk. Mas vale muito a pena assistir!

Actress always depressed, very annoying

I never write reviews but I think this time is necessary. I really liked the beginning, acting was solid, storyline as well. Looking back now I can fully confirm that the feeling I had about the female character being emotionally unstable was true. The actress doesn’t help, always with the sad and depressing face, nothing new to add to the series, always the same miserable look, like she has in all of the dramas I’ve seen her in. Giving it this score of 10 because he is an amazing actor and he saved part of the series, otherwise, because of her, it would’ve been a 2 out of 10 for me. About the story: because the female character is mentally unstable (ranging from depressing to miserable) she is dragging him with her. He, besides of the hardships he’s facing, he’s trying to get his life in order and have a bit positive attitude when he doesn’t even have a reason to be positive. After breaking him, she follows him like a stalker until he talks to her and lets his guard down again, only for her to break him all over again. This is what we call these narcissistic selfish people, that will drag everyone with them and profit from love they can’t even give themselves. If the actress was different, I think it could’ve been a nice story

Love Cell Magic Beat My Disappointment

As the webtoon fan, who read Yumi's Cells while it was still on going over a decade ago, riding through roller coaster of emotions together with Yumi, I had bittersweet feeling. As I finished this season, I still wonder to this second why they gave Yumi's end game the shortest season- even down to steal most of Sunrok's chapters for previous season? Why they couldn't stay true to the og material like season 1? I have many disappointment but also, it is as much as my pleasure and joy watching this season! :)

This season gave me that magical feeling of falling in love again, from being timid, shy, gazing at the crush in silence, and eavesdrop him talking. The never ending doubt, those "maybe" feeling, they made me giggling. I love watching Yumi in love and I get nervous along with her, it is silly yet exciting. The transition between real life and village animation is so smooth and the cells of course are really funny and truly the main stars "Yumi's Cells!". Props to Kim Goeun for her beautiful acting too!

There is a big change in drama where they made Yumi much older than ML but it doesn't matter as his mature character plays a part. When a fight nearly breaks out due to a misunderstanding, he doesn't act emotionally but explain it precisely without room for misinterpretation, and even if it was a misunderstanding, he apologize, and accepting those words just as they are. I like how this season capture how important emotional maturity is. They also show us how significant it is being in a stable career and having stable income, love how big it plays a part in all Yumi's seasons. These small messages that made relationship as real as it is!

This season is fire. Storytelling, direction, down to animation everything has been perfect. But, it is not enough and I think they have done final season dirty for giving us 8 episodes. I still can't comprehend the decision, aside the stolen chapters, we can see they can write new plots- but they decided not to? they also cut more of Sunrok chapters - dating bits and isabelle arc which is important for yumi's career. I love it so much they managed to give us new twist surprise and hate it so much they didn't give us more. I feel empty writing this, like I can't believe we won't get to see more of Yumi's Cells anymore. There is a lot "what if" moment for me while watching this, if only we get more times to meet Yumi and watch more of her life.

Simple, Sweet One

It is a relaxing and enjoyable drama to watch. The story feels light, fun, and comforting, with no real villain or stressful conflict, which makes it easy to enjoy. It’s the kind of drama that can make you smile and feel happy after every episode.
The actors are all so cute and charming, and their chemistry makes the drama even better. Their expressions and acting bring a lot of warmth to the story. The animation of the cells is also creative and funny, adding extra humor and making the drama unique.
Overall, Yumi’s Cells S3 is a fun and heartwarming drama that’s perfect if you want something entertaining, sweet, and stress-free. I really enjoyed watching it.

Empecé el drama porque los protagonistas son hermosos, y efectivamente lo son.

Voy a iniciar con el disclaimer de que estoy sesgada jajaja
Dilreba es demasiado bella como para que yo pueda quejarme de ella, pero creo que este personaje le quedó muy bien, su belleza elegante y etérea sí te hace pensar en que es un inmortal lejos de lo que es la experiencia humana, y creo que hizo un buen trabajo pasando de “actuar" como humano a empezar a sentir como uno.
Solo he visto dos dramas de Chen Feiyu, pero siendo personajes tan distintos solo puedo decir que admiro su actuación y su profesionalismo. Amé a Duan Xu, pero también es que Feiyu hizo un excelente trabajo como Duan Xu. La impulsividad y su relación con el dolor, apesar de ser físicamente sensible era emocionalmente distante de su propia sensibilidad, creo que eso le da todo el sentido del mundo a que esté bien deshaciéndose de sus sentidos, los ha usado muy bien, pero también están ligados a una vida intensa y feliz para Simu mientras que un profundo sufrimiento para él.
Amo su idealismo, porque aunque hay poco de su época como Diecisiete, es algo que usó como impulso y como su carta ganadora contra Chong, en vez de encerrarse en la culpa de lo que se convirtió por las circunstancias.
También amo que aunque su padre lo haya abandonado, no lo culpe ni se aferre a ese dolor, simplemente sabía que era por el bien del país y acepta ese autosacrificio desde entonces.
No me gustó que se muriera y ya, yo pensé que iba a soportar una tribulación y regresaría, pero quién sabe cuánto tiempo pase para refinar su alma y poder tomar forma humana de nuevo y es como que yo sé que con eso se conforma Chen Ying, y Simu es eterna lo puede esperar, pero yo me quedé así de: equisde.
Igual amé a Chen Ying, es simplemente adorable, es todo lo que sería Duan Xu si no hubiera pasado tanto dolor, y creo que es bonito que se haya quedado como Soberano porque su obsesión es proteger, creo que es lo correcto.
Lady Jiang Ai, la amo, simplemente la amo, lo siempre confíe en ella. Le gusta el dinero, pero también le gusta la honestidad y cuentas claras, es compasiva y amable. Y su enamorado jajaja, se el antojó viendo la boda de los protas.
Fan Xianye no merecía morir, merecía ser feliz con la hermanita, merecía tener una familia por fin, pero espero que por lo menos ya tenga paz 😭😭😭😭😭
Y la hermana, al final pues encontró qué hacer con su vida, pero que tristeza que nunca supo que amaba a Fan Ji ni por qué. No, eso sí me dió muchísima tristeza.
Y bueno, me alegro que los otros amiguitos de Duan Xu tengan final feliz, también que él se haya podido despedir como debe de ser y probablemente ellos no se enteren nunca en qué momento murió, ni tampoco la familia de Duan Xu.
Lu Da solo me dió lástima, no era una mala persona pero no pudo aceptar la perdida y sus propias responsabilidades arruinando todo lo que lo caracterizaba. Igual eso se me hizo triste.

Al final, disfruté mucho de la química de los protagonistas y todos los momentos que pasaron juntos, pero el final es algo triste.

Love like this is worth waiting for!!!be patient

This is one of the best romcoms ive ever watched in my life. Both Goeun and Jaewon bring out the perfect characters despite the age difference. They don't seem to be cringy and all over the place. I would love to see them again as a couple in another drama/movie because of their overflowing chemistry.
I love how all the cells play their parts significantly without one cell overshadowed other cells. And the creativity wise is deserving to be applauded, i mean Soonrok's tower of principles collapsed because of Yumi😆 is the only exception for Soorok.

He doesn't waste a minute to make Yumi as his, proposes to her when they're only a month dating (bold decision), kisses her entire time (brush his teeth first, hygiene matters😆😆)very attentive and upset a lot considering he is younger than her. Yumi just play along with his antique and vice versa. When they were making noodles after he confesses, i could feel their awkwardness and they both play it well that I could feel that was me in the character lol😆😆😆in Soonrok's house too. So funny. Soonrok in role playing is so damn funny, he is such a visionary/imaginative person lol. Yumi cant stop thinking about it and it applies to me too...so cute.

I always thought these 2 final eps are gonna be ruined or rushed, but my thoughts is so wrong and offbase because they really give us the best bits of final eps. The wedding😭😭😭and the cells are there in wedding altar. Omggg!!! Finally Yumi has found her forever after many years of heartbreak.
Im gonna miss watching this so much!!

Not confusing, just beautifully written.

So, I just finished watching adwad. And all I’ve gotta say, every single character is truly exceptional. From all the leads to even the most minor characters. A well written tranmigration story, that’s an absolute must watch. Truly makes you question cliches you’d usually read in a regular story. Are these characters all what they seem to be? Fuh no, and that’s exactly what this drama proves ✨

I love how the villain of this drama, is literally the script itself, so well thought omg. Characters, especially the male lead is written so carefully and with such care, I’m astonished. All he does is care, he’s smart, and good god, he is so resilient and tenacious, any dumb potato will empathize for him. And can I tell you how much I love the female lead? It’s always the fl being mistreated and never her having dignity and self respect for herself. My poor babies went thru soo much 😭. Her family is just so adorable, they’re the icons of the Jin dynasty lmao.

The pacing, perfect. The story, mesmerizing, the humor? Phenomenal! I must admit, there is a bit of a pacing problem during episode 20 - 30, but nonetheless the pinnacle of its trope. I truly commend the way they’ve written the characters in this story, there’s no side character, all of them have their charms and are their own main character in their own way. and the humor never fails to crack me up, the humor never felt forced, it came so naturally!

And the ending? My goodness, a work of art. Melodramatic, yet truly utilizes the whole transmigration cliche. The drama is a must watch, for all the rom-com, drama and action fans who love c dramas. This drama is the definition of your destiny is what you define it to be, infact you are your fate. Do not sleep on this drama, it is soooo worth it! (I usually don’t rate dramas so high)
