Another masterpiece to make you fall in love with P'Sammon's writing

The story asks an important and really controversial question, next to "To be or not to be?"; which is- is it okay to perform Euthanasia?
Just as the name of the original story goes, and the name of series is in line with the meaning of the story.
The story really keeps you on edge, making you guess who the suspect might be, and yet still, it makes your mind boggle as yet new hint points keep coming up- right when you feel like maybe you got the point.
P'Tor as well as P'JJ have really done amazing job. I really the acting when the actors speak with their eyes- it shows how great an actor they are.
As you go on with each episode, you keep on suspecting one character, yet you really don't want to do that. And till the end, I was not convinced with the overall idea of Euthanasia, but the last episode made me change my mind again. Whether anyone should get it done, and whether anyone should do it, rather has any right to do it- is the question that stays till the end, and they have been beautifully answered by the characters and their decisions in the end. Yes, that's what the end means.
It will not give you a conclusion, but will set you free to make your own opinion.

Yet another story that makes me a lifetime fan of P'Sammon's writing ❤️

Utterly satisfying and yet leaves you craving for more.

Most of the time I don’t feel the need to leave a review, but this time I just have to.

The story is very complete and satisfying but this world and our main character are so engaging that it feels like I could easily watch 36 more episodes. Seriously, it’s like I could watch Shi Guang forever.

I’ve loved many other series before, but this one stands out for at least a couple of reasons.

First, there is not one dull episode. Nothing feels unnecessary. Nothing gives you the itch to skip ahead. Nothing makes you lose your interest. You just want to keep watching non-stop. Every episode is consistent like that, always captivating, with a good rhythm, for the most part all equally interesting.
This is such a major feat already. There are so many shows that I enjoyed but became bored or too frustrated with at some point. No such thing with this one.

Second, related to this of course. The world and its characters felt very real. Not a dreary realism, mind you. This has a supernatural aspect to it obviously and plenty of comedy, but beyond that the characters are very human. They are complex characters with their own thoughts and feelings. The story developments feel natural. As well as the characters’ interactions, their bonds, their growth and change. It’s very well pieced together and at the same time feels organic.

Third, it didn’t feel predictable and at the same time satisfied the underlying expectations set up from the beginning. Which is rare. Most series fail somewhat in one way or another: become predictable or betray the viewer’s expectations and rob them of a satisfying development. This series in contrast develops and wraps up everything pretty nicely without leaving loose ends or feeling rushed at the end. (Though I could definitely go on watching Shi Guang living his life with the people around him)

I must compliment the acting of pretty much every single actor in this series. The only acting that did not satisfy me was from the Korean character (that was admittedly a bit cringe) but he’s such a minor character that it weights very little on the overall performance. Of course, I specially loved our main duo, Shi Guang and Chu Ying. The child actors were also incredible.

The story is about Go, but also about so much more than Go.
I knew pretty much nothing about Go going in and yet never felt lost nor bored. On the contrary I was able to learn a few things about this game and now I want to try playing it (give it a ‘go’, yes haha).
Beyond that the plot and subplots were all incredible in some way; interesting, funny, touching, inspiring, heart-warming...

I could go on talking about this series but it’s probably best to stop here. I just hope my commentary did it some justice.

So, I won’t spoil anything but the bottom line is: it’s truly worthwhile!
I just don’t give it a 10 because there’s always a couple of things that could be a bit better but still, a solid 9 for sure!

(...I already miss it so much. It will be hard to move on!)

Great balance of drama, sex, violence & comedy

"Take my gun", in Ep. 14 had me laughing so much that it hurt. Likewise, the helicopter scene.
Good looking, sexy, young, gay mafiosi - a ridiculous premise but one of the most entertaining series there is.

The S&M scenes with Vegas are totally believable and quite frightening.

Hollywood would never make a series remotely like this. If they tried, it would be a watered down, multicultural mess with special effects in place of good acting and exponentially more graphic violence g blood, guts, heads exploding, etc.

Definitely worth watching.

A not needed sequel, less thrilling than S1

To be honest, I was part of the people that find that season 1 of Squid Game was enough by itself and did not warrant a continuation. However, I still decided to watch the season 2 to see what it was about. Overall, I have the same take away than for the original show: great production value but some flaws in the writing and pacing. There is also of course less of an effect of surprise and an impact that when season 1 was released, as the concept is not new anymore.

The ensemble cast remains solid. There a couple of actors that I found were a bit overplaying their roles : T.O.P (as the rapper) and Chae Gook Hee (as the shaman) were clearly doing too much in a almost caricatural way. But there were also a couple of great addition to the cast that did an excellent job in portraying their characters, giving them layers that I think were not necessarily detailed by the script: Kang Ha Neul, Yim Si Wan and Park Sung Hoon.

Production value is impressive. There is a clear cinematography that leaves an impact with the gore and bloody details on top of colorful and childish decors. The soundtrack was quite good in fitting with the angsty vibe of the story.

I would recommend this to people if you have seen the first season of course. I think this season 2 is beneath season 1 but it seems also to be just an introduction to season 3 which I hope will be reaping the benefits of all what's established by the season 2. The production value is still very impressive, there are some ups and downs in terms of writing with less effect of surprise and a filler side quest out of the game.

Biggest plot twist for me

Biggest plot twist for me is the connection to the Series "Moving" at the end. OMG i screemed. After crying buckets i was so happy at this twist. Loved the Moving so damn much!!!! Just...WOW. The finger snapping guy was also mentioned in the Moving series but faceless. He will probably get his own story next now that his face is revealed.

AMAZING, EDUCATIONAL AND A MUST WATCH SERIES!

I went into this series not knowing what to expect, but before I knew it, I finished watching all 10 episodes!

It was such a wholesome and emotional series! There were so many cute babies in this series!! Definitely, no tear spared for any episode! Each episode got me tearing up one way or another! I smiled and cry at each episode! It also gave me a whole new perspective and appreciation for pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood.

I would definitely recommend this drama to anyone looking for something wholesome to watch. Go give it a try! You won't regret it!

Skip this if you can

The story was ok, nothing to exciting and the characters where just bad especially from the FL. The FL is full of arrogance and is ass kisser and very naive. We have athletes that would do anything to win even sabotage their teammates equipment to athletes that are spoiled that can’t take care of themselves. The love interest between the FL and ML was just too boring and really nothing to write home about. There are characters that deserved what they got at the end of the series. The only good thing is the characters of Fang Chao and his parents to the coaches in this series.

A Captivating Drama That Masterfully Blends Love, Music, and the Highs and Lows of Fame

With stellar performances, a brilliantly crafted script, and captivating production, this Netflix series has quickly earned its place as a must-watch.

The story follows Po, a filmmaker assigned to document the last performance of MARS, a boy band adored by fans. Po’s journey becomes deeply personal as he forms an unexpected bond with Thame, the group’s enigmatic leader. At its core, the series explores themes of identity, vulnerability, and the sacrifices demanded by the entertainment world, all while delivering a tender love story that resonates on many levels.

William Jakrapatr’s portrayal of Thame is a masterclass in emotional depth and authenticity. He captures the complexity of Thame’s life with stunning precision, offering viewers a front-row seat to the struggles of a man torn between public expectations and personal desires. From the commanding presence he exudes on stage to the moments of quiet introspection behind the scenes, William’s performance is nothing short of captivating. His ability to convey Thame’s internal struggles—whether through a subtle flicker of doubt in his eyes or the quiet strength in his voice—makes his character profoundly human and relatable. The chemistry between William and Est Supha (Po) adds an extra layer of brilliance to the series. Their interactions feel organic and charged with emotion, creating a connection that is both authentic and deeply moving.

One of the show’s greatest strengths is its script, which strikes a delicate balance between drama, romance, and introspection. The dialogue is sharp and purposeful, revealing layers of the characters’ personalities and emotions with every exchange. The writers have skillfully avoided clichés, instead opting for nuanced storytelling that respects the audience’s intelligence. The pacing of the narrative is another highlight. Each scene feels deliberate, whether it’s a quiet moment of reflection or a high-energy concert sequence. The script gives equal weight to both the public and private aspects of Thame and Po’s lives, ensuring that the characters feel fully fleshed out and multidimensional.

The production values are also impeccable, with sleek cinematography and thoughtful set designs that reflect the contrasting worlds of stardom and personal intimacy. The soundtrack, featuring original compositions, is seamlessly integrated into the story, amplifying the emotional impact of key scenes.

"ThamePo: Heart That Skips a Beat" is a testament to the power of well-crafted storytelling and exceptional performances. William Jakrapatr’s unforgettable portrayal of Thame and the script’s heartfelt depth make this series a true gem in the world of contemporary Thai dramas. Whether you’re a fan of music-themed narratives or love stories with substance, this series delivers on all fronts.

Now streaming on Netflix, "ThamePo" is an emotional journey that will leave you reflecting long (also blush) after the end of each episode :)

Oscar Worthy

If this drama had been a movie instead, it'd be Oscar worthy. The cinematography is visually stunning, the score really adds to the plot, the actors performances are incredible and they truly made each character believable. Mr. Sunshine is top 3 dramas of all time for me. It has important historical points that are heartbreaking yet eye opening. People complain of the age gap between the leads, but I didn't even pay attention to that. They have chemistry but isn't overly done and it's done with taste. It has a fast start and then seems to move slower, but every episode has something happening. If you stick with it, it is one of those dramas that ends up living rent free in your head and once in a while when youre driving, out for a walk, cooking or doing any mundane task, this drama will pop into your head and you'll be grateful to have watched it!

Looking from the outside in...there really wasn't anything special about this drama. But then you step into it. Predictable, yes. A little cliche, also yes. But for me, there was a magic to it.

Yes, Brewing Love is a romance, but I think it also portrays a bigger story. A story that says it's all right for others to see your pain, it's not a sign of weakness it's a sign of being alive. A story that says you don't have to keep it all to yourself. You don't have to go through it alone. You don't have to fix everything. You don't have to be perfect.

This drama had a feeling of nostalgia...almost like coming home after being away for a long time. It was refreshing and sweet😊

mixed feelings

mixed feelings about this sweet in parts but an elliptical and flawed storyline
SPOILER FROM HERE:
first: storylines using the one year later type formula for me are really a failure of writer's imagination and weak device to skip over plot continuity ;second :the harsh terms of rejection at start of episode 7 really make the longing and regret one year later (and 2 minutes in the drama)not credible 。 maybe this is a function of limitations of time but these are fundamental flaws in the drama that good imaginative writing could overcome、apart from this the characters and actors themselves are sweet

Had Potential but just a standar nonsensical korean thriller

The year 2024 hasn’t been particularly stellar for thriller dramas, and unfortunately, Connection doesn’t break that trend. While the show starts with an intriguing premise—Detective Jeong Gyeong waking up drugged and disoriented in a subway station—it quickly loses its way. The writing feels overly eager to keep things happening, but this comes at the cost of coherence, resulting in a narrative riddled with plotholes—a common pitfall for many K-dramas.

Loose ends abound, and storylines fail to tie together in a convincing manner. While the direction meets the usual high standards of Korean dramas, the acting leaves much to be desired. Performances are inconsistent, marked by excessive screaming and overacting that cheapen what could have been impactful moments. Instead of delivering a taut thriller, Connection leans too heavily into makjang melodrama, undermining its potential.

In contrast, Doubt stands out as the only truly exceptional thriller this year. Compared to that, Connection feels like a missed opportunity in what could have been a far more compelling drama landscape for 2024.

Must watch drama

You are really missing something if you ain't watching this drama. I usually watch short dramas as I really don't have time to watch 40-50 eps, (there are some very very long dramas out there) and I also loose interest after 3-4 episodes, as it was hell of a difficult task to remember each character name and face in long dramas.
I thought to watch 2 eps of Blossom to give it a try over a sunday afternoon meal and I end up binge watching it.
I loved it, the FL is independent, intelligent, fierce, witty and at the same time intellectual. She can manage household so as she could do business, I haven't seen such a powerful female in long dramas. It's a change for good.
The ML is also powerful, and when two strong-willed characters meet each other, it was really fascinating to see how they handle situations. Their bond becomes strong, even though they have their own doubts in the beginning.
About the rest, you should watch and find out.
You would laugh, you would cry, feel sad, but feel satisfied.
The writer did a amazing job and I hope we could see more of these kind dramas.
