Interesting storyline

This drama has a very interesting plot. Female general got married with the sickly fake young master of Gu Family aka The villain Jiang Juan. The drama opening theme shows promising romantic kissing scene.

What I love from this drama so far is that the FL is badass general and she is pretty plump, unlike skinny C-drama FL in general. Both FL and ML shows strong acting skills.

The ost is not bad, The only downside is each episode is so short, I wish it's longer. Even the ending ost takes most half of the episode.

However, I'm still looking forward to see how this drama goes. Hopefully satisfying till the end.

Pretty Good drama with a very nice insight on the lives of Doctors

First of all this drama is not as bad as some of the reviews say it is. It's actually gpt a pretty good story but I felt like it was dragged long a bit and it felt quite slow. The storyline is pretty average but there's good cinematography. The story has a very beautiful meaning behind it. Most dramas just show how they fall in love and get married and the end a happily ever after, but this drama shows the struggles after marriage. It also very nicely portrays the struggles faced by healthcare staff in their personal lives and their families. The cast have done a very good job at portraying their respective characters. The music is pretty good too, not my cup of tea but pretty good. Overall, although it's quite long its still very natirual and felt very realistic to me. If you're looking for dramas to binge watch I definitely recommend it! 🤵💔👰‍♀️🧠🩺🏥🧑‍⚕️❤️‍🩹👩‍⚕️

Perfectly Sweet, and perfectly performed

This was the second Zhao Lu Si drama I've watched. The first I had enjoyed, Dating in the Kitchen, but this one I simply LOVED. It definitely didn't hurt that, to quote Zoolander, she is a really, really, really ridiculously good-looking (especially her stunning smile), but what what stunned me in this Drama was her acting. She was so very, very good at her job, which was to make it look like she wasn't acting. She nailed it.

Another major reason why I gave this 10 was because there was none of the toxic misogyny of recent contemporary and youth C Dramas. No ice cold tsundere ML who knows everything and is freakishly good at everything and bullies or gaslights (or both), the FL into worshipping him. The dialogue given to both leads was refreshingly real, and Chen Zhe Yuan's Jia Xu was a likeable lead. His character got better and better as the Drama went on, leading up to oh so sweet ending, and Chen delivered a fine performance. Zhao's Sang Zhi got the best lines though, her sweet but firm self-conviction was great to see and the exchange with the very troubled Jiang Ying was outstandnig.

The Unwatchable

If you were on social media in 2019 then undoubtedly you came across fans raving about the Untamed. Seriously you would have thought it was the 2nd coming of Christ with the way some were acting. I've never seen anything like it then or even till this day. I heard praise such as "this is the best Asian drama ever!!!" Of course being a drama lover I was interested. So color me surprised when I sat down to watch this show back in 2019 and couldn't understand a damned thing. It was messy, it was campy, and oh so childish. It started with an ending scene with ZERO explanation and went straight into a mind numbingly boring flashback that lasts apparently 30+ episodes. WTF??! Plot, what's that? Character development?..the untamed does not know her. CGI?? Complete sh!t. Acting? Abysmal and amateurish. Sluggish pace with 100s of characters introduced as their names briefly flashes on the screen making the viewer, or I should say me, even more confused. I gave up and dropped the Untamed.

What was going on? Was I in some polar universe? Why couldn't I see what it seemed everyone else sees in this show? I had these questions as I over the years tried to find any criticism about this show on the internet. Anyone that felt the same way that I did. And you know what, I found none. The untamed had broke another record of being the only drama that gets perfect praises no matter where you look. It has no "one star" reviews on imdb, which is unheard of. Almost all 10 star reviews on this website and is still ranked as one or the highest scored dramas on mdl. Quite a feat. And I know what this drama and it's fans reminded me of...it is comparable to a really crappy Kpop song, where the fans are so ardent and forceful with their beliefs that the song is amazing, it inevitably scares anyone from speaking their mind and giving criticism to a mediocre product. It unfortunately happens all the time in fandoms, and the untamed is no different. What I learned was that this show starred two famous pretty boys that were already idols. The untamed show comes from a massively popular spicy bl webstory. And speaking of bl, we outside the bl fandom know how gung ho followers of that genre can be. With all mentioned, it starts to make sense to me why this below average drama is so popular and overrated!

Just look at the positive reviews fans give of this show. A popular mention is how pretty the two leads are. The leads eye staring contest had their heart in a flutter. How cute one of the leads are with rabbits?? Tell me this doesn't sound like a vapid teenager talking about her fav boyband. I'm too old for that sh!t. "Cute" boys glancing at each other does not a good drama make lol. And after three attempts of trying to give the untamed a chance, I'm done. No more. I've been told to hold on and that it gets really good at episode 33. Episode 33!!!? B!tch I could have watched 3 masterpiece jdramas in that time and had room to spare. If a show takes 33/50 episodes to get interesting then maybe just maybe the show is hot garbage. Just a thought...

Where is the action? On Saint Panda.

Eps 1-3: I started this series because I missed my babies - Sky-Pai / Rain-Phayu, but also because I was attracted to the subject of the story. But, to be honest, I'm disappointed with how the story is going. There is chemistry between Nuea and Lom, but nothing else happens.
I don't like the whole "I like you, I'm flirting with you, but I can't tell you how things are" thing. "But I want you, believe me". It's a bullshit. Lom, please leave my baby, Nuea, alone if you can't take the responsibility.
Ep. 4 - I disliked Lom the entire episode, I don't understand him and why he refuses to tell Nuea the truth. I mean, Yiwa agrees. What's the problem then? I liked the phrase "Do you think I would agree? though. Was the only good thing with Lom.
Ep. 5 - My angst at Lom continues. Why is so hard to tell to the person you love the truth? If Yiwa hadn't intervened, Lom wouldn't have solved anything. Again. You idiot.
Ep. 6 - I think you are kidding me. Really? That's the solution, guys? Not to tell the damn truth and take the consequences, but to carry on a masquerade? Does anyone think with a brain in this series? It seems that Yiwa is the only one with a backbone here.
Some of Nuea's reactions and gestures are exactly like Sky's. I don't like it. Each character should be unique in their way. And Yiwa reminds me of Rain sometimes.
And yes, the NC scenes are okay, but LITA was better. In every possible way, from the story to the characters. I just want to finish this very soon.

A light watch and look into Japan's work culture

What better drama to watch than "No Working After Hours/Watashi, Teiji de Kaerimasu" when I have been doing a lot of overtime myself at work? This is a light and easy watch for those who are interested in learning more about the work culture in Japan.

The drama touches on several important social and work issues that could probably happen in many cultures:
1. Training new employees using the outdated methods seniors were trained and treated.
2. Power harassment
3. Sexual harassment
4. Hobby/Interest harassment
5. Balancing family and work life and difficult choices made
6. Balancing work and personal life and difficult choices made
7. Unhealthy work hours and after effects
8. Different expectations when you are men vs women, single vs married

However, do not go in expecting the drama to go in details and give you satisfying results each time. I've read complaints about how the sexual harassment issue was dealt with and I agree that it wasn't handled as well as I would have liked. With only 10 episodes, there no way they can address all issues properly.

Our female lead is in the middle of all these situations - when she's the one dealing with them and when she's supporting her colleagues. She is a likeable lead and not one of those naive, innocent, submissive Japanese characters.

I would not expect a great romance. The 'slight romance ' tag is accurate and even so, I was not satisfied. The chemistry between ML and FL is definitely better than with tj boyfriend. However, there aren't enough romantic scenes in either relationship. This is a workplace drama first and foremost.

I would recommend this if you want a light watch but not a serious drama that tackles all these issues. The employees are all supportive and likeable. The 'villain' can be frustrating but may not be truly malicious.

F4 thailand is the best of all versions.

To start with I have always heard great about korean version "Boys over flowers ". I wanted to see it but I couldn't get attached to start watching as I'm not a high school drama lover. Again wanted to see Chinese version but would step back due to more episodes. Finally in 2023 after watching just a scene(where lita offers herself to thyme) in yt shorts, I badly wanted to see this.
I started watching it immediately and finished in less than two days. As a lakorn lover, after watching dramas for one year I lost interest in all dramas except my fav actors' dramas. Finally this drama broke my perception. Again I got my interest back in watching dramas. Glad that it is a thai drama❤.
Coming to the drama, for me f4 boys stole the show. They are so warm and compassionate in spite of being rich. FL's courage and concern towards others also not giving up were something great. I first thought the ML was ren😅 but the characterization of thyme was so natural and convincing. He is so loyal and warm person inside. Their fights were so fun to watch but never boring. There is no unwanted romance like in other versions. (Some may feel offended for having less romance) but for me, it was more natural and showcased their feelings more.
There were many messages and learnings in the drama which will make us better persons. Even though the school bullying was brutal, it ended well showing how toxic it is. The scene where thyme comes to rescue groya when her scooter is burnt, was the best of all versions coz it showed emotions more naturally. There are many situations where we can see reality in this drama. There was no exaggeration or dragging, everything was on point.
If only I should mention flaws it would be I felt bad for ren their relationship would have been clear. Music also played good role in lifting scenes. It was not like typical high school dramas but way more natural every scene was acceptable.
Finally, I am very glad I watched this drama. If anyone is hesitating to watch this, trust me it's worth watching but keep ur heart strong it may waver at times🤗. It's going to be in my head for days❤❤. Now I have to watch other dramas of these actors to get over this drama😂.

Sweet and Simple with a side of Cringe

This is the story about a sweet introverted boy who broke his guitar, got turned down by his long time crush in a pretty cruel way and to top it off he attracted an obsessed guy who kind of lacks boundaries extrovert... but in a cute way.

After that they went on a sweet journey of friendship and music... plus a bunch of other stuff... There is love, awkward kisses, less awkward kisses... Mediocre to good acting (sometimes in the same person), some drama and a whole lot of scenes (ok 2 or 3) with a guy dramatically pulling empty luggage and a side of cringe.

The friendships in this are really nice, so is the mother, our villain is just awful and not even cute but most of all this is a fluffy orangey yellow lighting drama with mostly fluff and just enough drama to give it a story beyond the fluff... Easy to watch, easy to binge and had it not been for some of the over the top cringe I may even have rated it higher.

P.S: The styling and most of the acting preformed by of our extrovert lead was just awful the first episode, luckily it gets better... But Introverted boy rocks the introverted thing from start to finish.

Epic Novel, Hope Drama is Equally Epic

I watched a few episodes for Tan Jianci. Was curious and ended up reading the translation of the novel by Koala's Playground - TWICE. OMG, am now obsessed with LYF and Xiang Liu. The writer Tong Hua is also doing the screenplay and so far the episodes have been pretty good. I prefer this to TTEOTM and LBFAD, both of which I dropped halfway.

The drama isn't a straightforward romance. There are issues of identity, abandonment, ambition, envy, and plenty of imperial intrigue and maneuvering. Hope the drama lives up to the novel which is just fantastic.

Bad Case of the Wrong Audience (maybe..)

Maybe it's cos I'm not a young adult anymore or about to write an important exam or was never a teenager or something... I'm not so sure why but this drama didn't resonate with me at all. Infact I found it quite uninteresting. It's sad cos I was really looking forward to enjoying this as it reminded me of a movie I enjoyed, titled Coach Carter, which had the same premise of a teacher taking special interest in a "bad class" and working with them to give them options in life.

I respect good teachers and education as a resource for personal growth but I got tired very fast of the preachy way things were said especially by the teacher alllll of the time and unfortunately none of the kids stories struck any cord in me. I dropped by ep 11, skimmed from 12 to 16 to see if it got better and finally couldn't go on.

The acting was not the strongest for me from the students. Especially with Gao Yuan. Was not the worst but no standouts.

I barely remember the music but I remember not hating it so..

I understand that they're trying to encourage the youth to stay in school but it seemed that's all the drama was ultimately about and I don't think this was made for me at all.

Binge watch worthy

This is my first review so bear with me .
The show is overly good but like most romcom jdramas it lacks somewhere but i can’t point what it is, the Acting of the FL is incredible she really nailed it so is the ML he played an awkward character so naturally well without exaggerating plus i wished he pulled his hair up so we could see his handsome face well, but what actually really bugs me is that we only heard one song through out the whole show even though the show somehow revolves around music but maybe that’s because of FL condition and how she said she only listened to this song in her entire life, I would give it a 9/10 lost one point because i expected more development in their relationship or more chemistry between them.

"귀신보다 더 무서운 건 사람이에요."

What could be better than Kim Tae Ri fighting demons? Kim Tae Ri, Oh Jeong Se and Hong Gyeong fighting demons. A truly stellar invincible cast.

🔸I feel the beginning could be much more exciting. The story could play with the viewer's expectations regarding the existence of supernatural powers. You could throw in evidence for both humans' and spirits' involvement in a felony, and let the detectives battle with professor Yeom. The middle part is also pretty monotonous and doesn't bear much significance. There is no cat-and-mouse play, no riddles either.

🔸Yet I still appreciate the emotionally and visually beautiful ending. A sneak into the ancient Korean rituals and beliefs made me understand better why many elders believe in spirits and what traditions do they follow.

If you are about to watch Revenant, you might've picked it because of the cast, but be prepared for the thick layer of folklore and many grafic suicides as well.

Hoping for Reincarnation to Be Real

"If life gets a bit tough, just think and hold on to a happy memory. Life must move on. "

This drama might as well be an arrow to the heart for someone who badly needs someone to be reincarnated right now. The drama's premise is quite a homerun and a heartbreaker at that.

I have high hopes for this drama and was hesitant to watch it as its title implies, see you in my 19th life. I have recently lost my husband of 22 years and I am in a disposition that I desperately wish that everything that was happening to Seo Ha will happen to me too. It was funny for me for the first few episodes as I keep on seeing Shin Hye Sun's character in Mr. Queen. It's like the first few episodes have this Mr. Queen vibe.

Towards the last episodes, I just felt that the drama lacks something....like I thought the story is going to reach its highest heights with an impressive and striking impact. I watched Episode 12 without experiencing that.

Nevertheless, some of the lines in the drama left a great memory for me, and Ahn Bo Yun's smile and mesmerizing eyes are the reasons why I keep on and enjoyed the drama till the end.

The main character is super adorable, but the show has too much drama.

I liked the start of the show a lot, and a good amount of the middle of the show was enjoyable enough, but I hated the ending. The female main character started out as having very strong values, but her core values were just tossed aside whenever the story needed to be dramatic. Her behaviour towards the end just didn't fit her previously established character, and all of this supposedly in the span of less than 3 months?

I know it's supposed to be a bit of a fairytale, but it's like a magic wand waved at the end to just make everyone be happy with whatever outcome the writers decided was a "happy ending", even if those things didn't make any sense, or the characters wouldn't have been able to make such serious personality changes in that timeframe.

The ending was way too over-the-top. It ruined the romance for me. But if you like the super dramatic cliche romance shows, this would be worth a watch.
