After seeing the poster, i was expecting a light rom-com, but then the magic book appeared and the focus is on fl, her trauma and how she always longing to be loved. I find her actions understandable. Throughout the whole 1 month boyfriend, i keep feeling bad for her, she definitely needs to realize her worth. One of her words that hits different is;
"I thought no one loved me. But the only person who didn't love me was myself. I must love myself first in order to love someone."

As for the romance, it was disappointing.
The only romance we got is the ml liking the fl and kept hiding it, until the last minute.

The acting was good. I'm watching this for Doyoung and he didn't disappoint. For a newbie, he did great. Other actors did great with their role too.
Music used was good, but wasn't the type I'll listen to daily.

When you watch this don't hope much for romance, just focus on the female lead development.
Btw there are some bloody parts! It might've been triggering for some people.

Not what i expected to be.

When i see the title, i thought it would be interesting. A bad-ass prosecutor fighting crimes for good. But this isn't all that.
Well, some people might like it, but personally, i'm bored and not thrilled. i'm dropping this after ep 5.
First, The ML character just running around assuming and accusing the wrong people and getting into troubles. Not in a "badass-cool-smart" way, just recklessly handling the case.

Second, i know the writer want us to think who's actually good people and who's bad one. . but the mystery isn't there. They spoiled it. We know the bad guy and who behind all of this since the beginning . I'm on ep 5 and i don't have anymore curiousity.

Thus, the actors and actresses in the series are good. That we should appreciate.

Well anyway, that's my personal opinion.

You're Crazy

This is a spoiler review for "Mad for Each Other", a story of struggle, love, and growth. I hope you find it helpful.

Story(7.5): I have mainly good, but slightly mixed feelings about the story of this show. For a positives, this show is very addicting from the jump. Its easy to binge and fall in love with, mainly because of the charisma and character that Oh Yeon Seo and Jung Woo bring to the screen. One of my favorite things about this show is its a great tale of misfits. Whether its the main characters mental health problems, being unemployed, or having poor social reputations; there's a lot to disgrace them with on paper, but when you watch, its just so easy to fall in love with them and their flaws. Its truly heart warming when Hwi Oh and Min Kyung recognize that the world is against them, but they still have each other, brings Romeo and Juliet vibes when I think about it. I also really enjoyed that its not love at first sight, both these characters have major flaws, the writers make that abundantly clear. They are constantly annoyed by each other and complain about each others existence, its honestly pretty funny in a kind of morbid way. But its this starting point that both makes the plot more captivating, as well as expanding the scope of how these two grow together.
Now for some of the cons. In my opinion its beautiful to have two broken characters grow through each other, but I felt there could have been more nuances to how these two puzzle pieces fit together, aside from them both calling each other crazy lol. This story also has great side characters like Sang Yeop and Soo Hyun, but after about 70% through they are completely taken away from the main plot and characters, only being used as devices to break tension from the main story which wasn't harmful to the show, but I felt the series could have been even better if they were integrated throughout. But my biggest issue with the story of this show is the police/drug storyline. This story line is constantly used and referenced as a means of controlling the main narrative, but it ends in quite the anticlimactic fashion, making it feel unimportant and flat in the end. So mainly this story has an issue of using elements to push the plot forward, and then disregarding them when its convenient without giving them the due diligence. There were also a couple small things that rubbed me the wrong way in the last two episodes, but nothing big enough to mention. Overall a good story with a few flaws in the ladder portion keeping it from being a truly great tale.

Acting/Cast(9): Like I mentioned before Oh Yeon Seo and Jung Woo are fantastic actors and made an amazing duo to really carry our hearts and the story. I think my only real issue in this department was some of the characters in the women's association. I felt that Baek Ji Won performed great, but there were some moments where I was not buying the performance of the other two characters.

Music(8): Music did not play a huge part in this show, but when it was, it was used at perfect moments. personally "The moment I met you" and "Happy Anding" were used the best and really lift the moments perfectly.

Rewatch value(8): I felt this show was intoxicating from the start and that compounded with the shorter episodes in comparison to the average K-dramas, I think this is an extremely easy watch.

Conclusion(8):Overall This was a fantastic show. From the beginning it carries you off better than most shows do , It only had a few issues in concluding the story that kept it from being perfect, like many K-dramas do. In addition the acting leads are some of the best, making it definitely one to remember. I just wish we got more episodes in the end, I think that could have cleared up many of the issues that arise towards the end of the series as well.
If you have any thoughts don't be afraid to comment :)

Love it !

God I love it ! The actors are one point! (maybe I'm biased because it's Park Min Young 🙈) I fell in love with Kim Jae Young. It's the first timr that I saw a drama with him in it and damn I'm not disapointed at all! I'll definitly watch more dramas with him in the cast !

I understand why some people don't enjoy this drama, some elements in the story are at first not logical or meh! But everything finaly make sense in the last 3 episodes.

In my opinion it's a really good drama with awesome caracters, good music, and some plot twist that I enjoy! Can't wait for the final !

Great Grounded Love Story

This was a show that the synopsis didn't prepare me for. It was far more mature , grounded and realistic than the esport tag led me to believe.

The first few episodes really have me the chills in the portrayal of struggle and hardships faced in reallife after college . The comparison based on wealth and influence.

I loved the characters doubts and struggles and still the love and belief in each other.

The relationships were handled so well and the OST was so good.

I think I can recommend this show to anyone who loves romance .

it should have begun and ended with episode zero

20-30 mins per episode is more than enough for this series... but a whole 1 hr plus with so much mundane scenes? and 13 episodes.. for what please? my goodness.. lots of fast forwards and skipping while watching 'cause i just wanted to finish it... the script could have been so much better.. good visuals and thats about it, it gave nothing else... it was so suffocating but i had already started watching with high hopes and it got crushed bad...

it really should have not gone more that the teaser episode 0 - maybe just 1 more episode after zero... like a sequel to zero and wrap up everything !! the teaser episode was what made most of us anticipate this series then after a long time waiting, they crushed our expectations below zero.. lmaooo

the script was just terrible.. better luck next time to this production house, if theres a next time...

Good

The series is good, and the acting is also good (especially the chemistry between jsm and jw).

The story/plot itself is refreshing, however, the ending makes me lose interest in it, and for me, the 'comedy' part of the series doesn't suit it.

For me rewatching this series is probably 20% with the max of 50%.

Anyways excited for season 2 (especially for gyj)

------

The ending made me lose interest in continuing it however I found out that naksu original body will be back (meaning more gyj) also the next season plot summary seems promising and I can't wait to see how they will pull the ''Amnesia" part on naksu

Cringeworthy second couple stealing main couple screentime

LOVE: Yu Mei Ren and her character antics and fashion, Xin xin's acting, the main couple chemistry

HATE: what else if not 2ML and 2FL! They're disconnected from the main couple and steal so much space!

Agree with others, it has become a romance of FOUR little forests. Felt cheated, they uses the main couple for publicity but in secret pushes out a lot of the secondary couple. What kind of shady situation is this? YMR sweet beauty and the main couple chemistry can't save this, even the main couple storyline was a bit too slow burn and going back and forth ffs. It took more than 30 episodes for them to hold hands....really. What a shame, if the writing was better their chemistry could've been more sizzling, still good job to Xin xin and Bin Bin for doing their part to make their chemistry work although the storyline was weak.

A Cute, Gender Bending Love Story

NOTE: This is a re-watch drama for me. When I watched it for the first time during its airtime, I rated it a 9. This current rating is based off of my second watch.

The story is a cute, new, and refreshing love story. At the time this drama came out, you didn't see too much of the female lead dressing up as a male, etc. That wasn't until after this drama that they really started taking off. The drama focuses on several different stories to the point where I questioned who the main leads were because we were constantly being tossed around the cast of characters.

Coffee Prince starts off strong, but by Episode 11/12 I was bored. I wanted it to end and was mortified to see how long the episodes were and how many more I had left. Everything sort or changes so suddenly. You spend 10 episodes developing this relationship and deciding whether you love or hate the characters, it all comes to a head so quickly and then deadpan. It's just ... boring.

The secondary leads have a goodness awful story. You immediately want to skip through it every time they come on the screen. I never understood through both watched how these almost 30 year olds act more childish than high schoolers.

My opinion on the acting is 100% biased because I am such a fangirl of Gong Yoo. I mean, watch the drama! The man's smile is just 🥵. Lee Sun Gyun is also a favorite of mine. His voice is just meltworthy. I have enjoyed other dramas with Eun Hye, but this one doesn't do it for me. I wasn't a fan of her acting the first round and even now, I couldn't relate, feel bad, or want to hug her character.

The music was not memorable for me. I cannot remember a single song from it. Even watching it a second time, I asked myself if there even had an OST playing because I didn't pay attention.

The re-watch value isn't there for me. Again, the first 10 episodes really draw you in, bit after that it's fluff, and not the cotton candy kind.

If you have never seen this drama, I suggest giving it a whirl. It truly is a good drama for a first watch, with a cute love story and what I feel carries the message of "Love doesn't see gender". You really root for the main couple and the success of everything they're fighting for.

Love romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. Son Ye Jin is one of my favorite actresses that I follow. But I actually started to watch this drama because of Jung Hae In. I did feel some anxiety throughout the drama because these characters went thru so much. Jung Hae In was just so adorable in this role. Just his facial expressions and that smile.
I felt his pain thru his acting and kept hoping that the couple would end up together, since I am a romanticist. Thank you for such a great drama. Keep that beautiful smile going.

Lackluster characters and boring script.

Admittedly, Yanxi Palace raised the bar in that I need all historical dramas to pull me in and keep me engaged and immersed in the lives of the palace characters and it is with that expectation that I went into LOCZH; alas, all I heard were words and words and even more words. The script was so dialogue-heavy with a lot of telling instead of showing that, in many ways, it ended up overshadowing the actual plot. Perhaps if I hadn't seen the perfection that is Yanxi or the witty and eminently watchable 'Love Like the Galaxy' I might have given LOCZH a pass. As it is, I'm just in it to finish it and hopefully move on to something much more entertaining. I do not care if it's historically accurate or whether the creators imagined they could school the audience on a bit of history, whatever their motivation, the execution was lacking.

LOVED IT!

It hasn't been too long that I started to watch K-dramas. I am sure glad that I discovered how entertaining they are. Every time I watch a new one I discover another great actor and do binge watching on his/her dramas/movies. I am now binge watching Jung Hae In dramas and I just adore him. Besides his great looks, his gorgeous smile I really love the portrayal of the characters in the dramas I have watched so far. I just completed One Spring Night and I really enjoyed it. Thank you for your hard work in doing such a great job on entertaining us. Keep up the great job and smiling for your fans. This new fan will be following your future work.

For those who love sweet and cute dramas

This is a light, sweet and fluffy drama without too many complications. It wasn't something I fell in love with, but overall it was good, it wasn't something I dragged around to watch either.

The story is light, after the protagonists are together they do not separate anymore, nor do they have major conflicts with each other. They grow together and establish a relationship of trust and companionship.

The ending was a sweet, traditional wedding. This is the first modern cdrama I've watched that they have a traditional wedding, and it's very beautiful, I prefer it. The wedding night scene was a little rough and ended there, but still it was all right.

Note: they never changed shoes when they entered the house, this is strange to see in a cdrama.

It's Very Loosely Based Off Novel

I will start by saying I am a HUGE fan of the novel. I only recently found out that this drama existed and jumped right in.

It is very much the typical, cringy, K-Drama romantic comedy. It starts off following the novel very detailed but by the end of the first Episode it makes it clear it'll be something different. I tried to keep an open mind throughout, but the changes were so odd and too much for my taste.

The acting was sub-par. I don't feel like any of the actors really made their character stand out or likeable. All for of the main leads were whiney and annoying. They were practically polar opposite of their novel versions.

The music was catchy. It was nice to have the soundtrack. They were cute pop-like ballads and dance tunes. I often got them stuck in my head after mulling through an episode.

Overall, the drama wasn't BAD, just not notable. Nothing about it screamed a drama to recommend, rewatch, or that I can honestly say I really enjoyed. It was painful getting through the last episode. I honestly considered skipping to the last 2 minutes just to say I could finish it. I did watch the entirety.
