Boring, out of ideas, bad plot

Ep2. For the whole episode it's just members chasing 10 person from new boy groups, less talking and interaction with guess for the whole episode with the guest.
Ep3 members stucked in witch house for the whole episode solving boring puzzles, no excitement at all, and no ending closure. So lame, they failed to solve puzzle in the given time, no punishment no closure, end with" their soul took by the witch" boom ended.
Basically they drag the usual 15mins game in runningman till 45mins.............,........

GREAT ACTING, and Great story for those who understand.

In my headline, no need to explain to watch this netflix original series. This series will not feel you bored because your curiosity about the story will intruiged you especially the acting was superb. Watch till end before you decide. SIX EPISODES ONLY

THE ENDING WAS....

An open-ended but very satisfying.

The confusion about the monsters was understandble, if comes from nowhere then it ended from nowhere. It's okay not to know because it's SUPERNATURAL FICTION. I hope there is a second season to clarify the confusion of others and most of all, hoping the parents to be with their child again.

The message of the drama was definitely satisfy you.

Good drama

Good drama ?
Love the cp Ningqian
For the script writer, director, and editor I recommend for next time work or project is need improvement for satisfaction of viewers.
The title rebirth for you is not focusing in the plot of the story or we not seen it about who is from rebirth. So they said the tittle is change to to biography of Jianan so this title is jianan biography is the plot or story we seen it in last episodes at 36 episodes you can understand about the jianan biography. In the beginning of episodes there's no scene and plot focusing in the title. Based on my opinion.. Better the title they change to "the Supreme weapon book" why? Because in the beginning of episodes they talking about and searching about the book till end of episodes . And this book also is every one is related and wanted this book. So this book focused on the plot of story so I think viewers can understand the story about.

I recommend this drama.
They act very well, and custome, make up is ok fit based on there character.. Setting location are good. But some are messy specially in battlefield and capital outside ?? must be arrange well. So anyways we are different views ?
PS. We are different opinions and points of view.

Not worth watching it

Poor script ,poor direction.
Too much flash back made the story bored ,direction is so poor .
Story started with the Meeting of two strangers ,one had painful past which was indirectly connected two another . So their story started with hatred as one wanted revenge from another but there was an involvement of third person who basically the reason of hatred and this person created love rivarly too. So the concept was interesting but too much flashbacks made the drama unnecessarily long that made the drama bored .
Even ending was so bad. Atleast story let met all three couples properly .

About actors and actresses all were good.

A very heartwarming series that I really enjoyed watching. The cast was amazing and I really liked the chemistry between the two leads. Also the acting of both of the leads was really good. Kim Da Li is portrayed as a soft and delicate person with a huge and genuine love for the Arts. Park Gyu Young did a very good job and she is really shaping up to become one of my favorite actresses at the moment. The male lead also did a perfect job at portraying a character that might not be the brightest in the traditional sense ( academic wise ) but is really hard-working , dedicated to his business and the most important of all a good human being.
If you want to watch a drama that is light and really enjoyable I totally recommend it.
I also have to mention that the styling of the female lead was AMAZING . From her hairstyle to the choice of shoes and bags , everything was so spot on and aesthetically pleasing .

The best drama in 2021

A glass of wine in a cold lonely night, this is how this drama means to me. It's the perfect companion when you miss that warm fuzzy feeling of being in love, the giddy sensation you feel when those tiny little butterflies start to play in your stomach and when you want to get a glimpse of that same innocent feeling you felt when you fell in love for the first time.
This might be just another rom-com for some, but what sets it apart from the rest is how it is able to give us memories we never had.
The acting is top-notch but of course, we expect nothing less from Wan Peng. She's a always a delight to watch!
What surprised me is how Evan Lin justified the character of a blind man who went through a lot. His eyes were like the ocean; serene, deep, vast yet it shows no emotions just like how blind eyes should. His micro-reactions, the simple movements of his face, his jaws were very captivating. You don't have to second guess what kind of emotions he's trying to deliver as they were very apparent.
I love how the development of each character is slow at the beginning and started to gain speed as the story progressed.
The quality of the production's color palette is also something worthy of appreciation as it heightened the vibe of the entire show.
This drama might not be the best, but the fact that it gave me that post-drama feels that I seldom get and tortured me for over a week makes it really special

Disappointment !!!

With the excitement i went into the series, have to say Hellbound was a disappointment. An average watch in many ways.

The series started strong and one would be entrapped with the storyline and the actors have done a good job in their roles. There was mystery, there was a plot and the visuals were really well done. But all this was there till the 3 rd episode following which it took a nosedive and spiralled out totally and lost the plot.

The last 3 episodes was confusing let alone poorly executed. To put it simply, it was unidimensional and flat. It dint make sense or add up and have to say it was bad. If it was done in hope of a second season, then the director dint do his job in the second half to warrant a renewal. In the end, i am left wondering what just happened.

Of all the netflix originals that came out recently, Hellbound would be the weakest of them.

Overall, i would say it would have been better off as a movie. The story started off well only to be ended poorly. The only watching point for this drama would be the acting and that too in the first half.

A wonderful Heartwarming Mom-Child Story!!

I just completed watching this beautiful dorama and here I am writing my second review ever on MDL.

I Loved the concept of this drama and being an otaku myself and a single child of a single mom I could relate to almost everything.
I don't have a lot of friends and have a hard time expressing my emotions to others so I can stand in Sora's shoes and feel what she feels.
And I loved how she and her mum are more like friends instead of your regular parent-child relation. But I guess that's how it is when your Parent had you at a very young age. Like my Mum was 20 when she had me.
Anyway not gonna fill the review with my own story. Really Sorry ?.

Loved the acting and the chemistry between all the cast. Loved how the writer dealt with the story arcs which are somewhat taboo-ish and rarely shown like Gon-chan's Father and Sally's relationship.

This one is one of those few dramas where I didn't skip a single second throughout the 10 Episodes. I wish if they had more episodes pr another season tbh. I wanna see more of Hikaru and Sora. How they go through after this and where their relation goes.
Also would like to see more of Hikaru's story too.

Overall it was a really good watch. Will rewatch this soon and perhaps more often.

This will really be somewhere up there in my all time favourite drama list and recommendations.
If you haven't watched it yet then PLEASE do!!
The 10 hour that you'll spend wouldn't be regretful.

It’s cute drama

The drama is not super raved by drama watchers but I would honestly say that it’s a pretty cute drama. It has the romance and comedy element you need in a drama series. What’s more is that you’re able to watch how the character grow episode by episode. I loved how all the issues are resolved with everyone’s effort.

The family ties and the sibling relationship was what I liked a lot in this series. The side couples and cast’s stories were all well developed.

The casts acted well, and they are fittingly chosen for each role! I think this drama is worth a try if you have time and if you do don’t have a drama you really Wang to watch

If I have to hear that goofy "Ma'am!" one more dang time - UGH.

I'm 3 episodes in so far, and I'm loving the writing. Our ML and FL are intelligent, witty, charismatic, and have an easy chemistry that I've liked so far. I really love that the ML is empathetic and caring and not the usual cold-shoulder trope I seem to see with ML's. The ML's younger sidekick, Kim Ji Woong (Henry), needs to G O. Absolutely hate his actions and how much he jumps in and out of English for comedic effect. Not funny. Only Ok Taecyeon was good at it in Vincenzo but he's a much stronger actor and more natural with his body language. I have to skip through every time he's about to open his mouth. I guess this is where the "idol-actors are terrible actors" stereotype comes in because I've been very surprised by how strong some of the Idol actors I've watched have been (Lee Jun Ho, Seo In Guk, Park Hyung Sik, IU, Park Jin Young- special mention to Chinese Idol, Xiao Zhan..drool..etc).

This is my first series with So Ji-sub and I can see the allure. He's full of charisma and has a magnetic presence. I admittedly stayed away from his dramas at first because he's not my usual type (I'm more of a Park Seo Joon, Gong Yoo type) but he's got a rough-around-the-edges sexy aura that I can absolutely eat up. I can see some of the usual tropes (hate -> love relationship, son of a chaebol with traumatic childhood w/rough on her luck FL) but it's done in a way I'm not mad at and, as I mentioned earlier, they do subvert some of the usual tropes with how strong-willed the FL is and how caring and empathetic the ML is.

I will update as I delve further.

Episode 5 update:
Omo! The physical contact in this gives me chills! I'm not used to this much actual physical chemistry and TOUCHING in kdramas and I'm LOVING it. The scene on the mat was....especially great, heh. My eyes are bugging out just as much as theirs are, haha. Definitely a more mature drama, and I'm still a huge fan of the writing; especially between the ML and FL. Unfortunate side note- I still have to skip through every scene with Kim Ji Woong (Henry). He IS SO IRRITATING.

Overall update-
Really love this series! I'm a little annoyed by the "1 year later" trope they just HAD to include and how it was executed. Understanding the ML and his decision making regarding his accident is what kept me from being overly annoyed, but at the same time, I *wanted* to see him show his vulnerability to the FL and thought it was so unnecessary for him to seclude himself for a full year during his rehabilitation and not even reach out via phone or text to let the FL know he was OK and they were OK. The viewers are led to believe that the FL is wholeheartedly understanding of his absence though, so we're force-fed that what he did was OK, and I didn't really feel that way. He should have stayed in contact or allowed her to remain by his side throughout his healing process, IMO. It would have led them to get closer, and it would have shown the ML it's okay to not be okay and to show your true self with the people you love the most.

Understated and relaxing

I really enjoyed this - it was very understated and although it was short I felt like the characters developed well.

From the first few scenes I was expecting the main focus to be on Shun and I couldn't read Nagisa at first, he came across as the typical 'aloof and mysterious' guy. However this changed by episode 2, although he doesn't say much you can see how he is feeling from his expressions which he is trying not to let show. I really enjoyed watching the actor for Nagisa and I felt like the plot of him coming to accept himself was really well done. I personally don't like the trend of overacted and unrealistic dramas so this was perfect for me.

The side characters were good, I liked Ako but not so much Chika but she sort of redeems herself by the end. The setting was also great, the beachy vibes were perfect for the summer romance plot!

I’m completely hooked!

The drama give out an entirely different energy compared to other ones I have seen before. I actually love how the director keep the pace slow yet fresh and intriguing, it is almost like solving a puzzle. When I started watching historical Chinese dramas, I remembered it’s always been fun and exciting at the beginnings, but also a bit unrealistic. The pace of this one on the other hand gave me more mature vibe, very distinguished. Each frame was caught perfectly, from the beginning out in the middle of the sea to the many scenes showing the emperor’s court. The emotional flow was also very reasonable, very pleasing and easy to keep up. I have known the ending through book version and truely hope for a less mournful ending in film version. I guess I will have to wait and see. Fingers crossed!

Terrifyingly Real!

If this doesn't terrifies you, you have seen nothing of the world yet!

Unpopular opinion, but I think a lot of people are watching it wrong. Because what is depicted here is Real. Way Too Real.

I don't think the director set out to tell an entertaining story in the first place. With a plot like this, that would have been easy. Instead, he took a gamble. As someone who lives in a place that is slowly sinking into religious fascism, this was all too real. To see it being decipted with pinpoint accuracy was bone chilling. The Helplessness, the Fear and how some people are always ready to use it to their advantage. Once you realise that, you understand 2 things. First, why this series exists in the first place. And second, how close this world is to insanity. As someome who has experienced it all first hand, this could happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone.

A few unexplained things, and all that's all it takes for all hell to break loose.

Though not for everyone, Hellbound is a strong thriller with very powerful elements. The way human beings are potrayed is extremely realistic, and for anyone who has lived in a situation of religious fascism, extremely relatable. Among all the shows that has explored these themes, this was the best Korea or anyone in the world has produced yet (I have watched them all, even the ones with low ratings). Don't miss it if you are okay with dark heavy themes and are willing to look at Human Nature for what it is.

Few things definitely could have been better, like a more bare sound design to create regular tension. No doubt about that. Search (2020) is an excellent example of how to do that. At the same time though, I think it does what it set out to do brilliantly! Not all cinema is out there to entertain. Some can simply exists as an warning. And this is a strong one.

Non-complicated love story. Nicely written plot. Right amount of comedy.

Ok so I binged this drama too fast. Also the fact being that it had only 10 episodes it ended quite quickly. All the characters fit quite nicely in the plot. I just loved the quirky friendship among the ladies. They were such good friends and each had something unique to their character. Like Yeseul being the youngest and the most naive in case of the men that she dates. For which she had been through too many relationships in such little time. For a job she probably works as pest controller(?) which is kinda not a usual job a female lead shown in kdramas does for a living. Despite doing such a job she does always look good. On the other side, the other bestie owns a cafe where she serves some really out-of-the-world drinks. For ex. spinach curry smoothie and the visuals of the drink is also very out-of-the-world. Gosh, i did creep out watching her serving those drinks. But then the customers reactions and her own poker face when serving them really cracked me up. And then the main female lead is also just so unique. Song Ha yoon is such a natural. She always has great chemistry with her male co-actors. No matter who she is paired with, she always amazes me with her charm. Also she is really good at acting drunk and she does it so cutely. The ex was pathetic for doing all that he did but I liked that he admitted his mistakes eventually and badly wanted to patch up. Although I would not approve of her taking him back but his character development did show that he did really love Ji Sung. Although they showed his arc as mere comedy but he did love her in reality. I liked that he didnt just plain harassed her after the break up or just sweep her under the rug like she meant nothing to him and move on to some other gal. Now the male lead, Lee Jun young really played this character very well. At times Gook hee was plain cold but he really is a cinnamon roll that gets emotional really quick. His voice tone is soo sweet. I just loved hearing him speak. I liked his character arc. He was sympathetic and gentle. Although he didnt know how to chase the girl in the beginning. He did try to hold onto the girl when she tried to reach him. I did feel frustrated when he didnt believe in Ji sung after the secret cam being sent to him. I felt like he should have given her a chance to explain when she had always been with through the highs and lows. But then the break up didnt prolong too much so that makes up for it.
Overall, I enjoyed this though I wanted it go on further but they wrapped it well in 10 episodes. Also it made me wonder how much we are depended on our phones. And how much of our personal details lies in this mere device. Is it really safe to be this depended on smartphones? When anyone can acquire all the private info just through peeping through your phone. Or if really such a tech was available could people's privacy ever be private?!
But it also showed the pros of a smartphone of how easier it has made our lives in the form of finding routes and translating to many more.
So I came back to this conclusion that it depends on how much you share yourself to these tech devices. How much of your personal life do you want to make public. It all depends on YOU.

Nice and Good One

It was a good drama. It wasn't as bad as some of the negative comments. I would suggest not to go according to the negative comments and decide for yourself, just like I did.
The ML and FL had nice chemistry. No doubt there were a lot of kissing scenes but not as many as compared to few others.
There were a lot of annoying and frustrating scenes/characters, which I did skip. The secondary couple were also cute together. I would be re watching but only good moments sometime later when I have nothing else to watch only for the ML.
