The beginning of contract-relationships in dramas

I have watched “My Lovely Sam Soon“ three times now and each time I’m surprised by how much I love this drama! At first glance the drama is your typical “poor-woman-rich-arrogant-guy-contract-relationship” show, but don’t let this mislead you! This drama is genuinely funny, absurd, relatable, and unexpectedly moving. Yes, it is quite old and visually not as pleasing as modern dramas, but that only adds to its brilliance; being able to use the minimum to create such a great work is truly admirable and I always love to come back to the roots of K-Dramas where the plot and not the cinematography is in focus (I do love great cinematography though).

“My Lovely Sam Soon” is definitely one of my all-time-favourites and I’m going to come back at it next time when I need a good laugh.

May we know what happened in Phuket? hehehe...

To be very honest, I was sad with the ending. I have to watch another "feel good series" to uplift my spirit, so I'm okay now. hehehe... ( I watched 2Moons series by the way) I knew how this will end, but, I was hoping they will kinda' twist it a little (just like what happened to 'He's Coming to Me'), but NO it did not happen.

Well this is still perfect for me, the acting was superb. I can really really feel the emotions. Choi Jae Hyun really did well here, and now I'm watching Dalgona, hehe... The ending was sad, but not shocking, so at least it's fine. They were so in love right at the very end.

Now, here's what I need to know (hehehe...)
1. Is there a Season 2??? Whose bracelet was that? Who was boiling that water?
2. Please tell us, WHAT HAPPENED IN PHUKET? We need to how it all started, PLEASE!

Shall I watch again? NO (Because I have watched it more than 20 times now, I can even memorize some of the dialogues, so I think that's enough)

Starting was good but ending is most irritated one

At first i enjoyed watching this, mix race bl series with new story but they couldn't achieve what they want to present. At starting u may enjoy but when it reach to climax it feel like oh god when this will finish, nothing to watch expect some few moments which gives hopes of gay love in real life. U can watch if u love bl series but i couldn't watch because i focus on the story.

Story
Interms of story they are trying find new story in bl Series category but they failed in that category, one of the most irritating story after tharntype. But this is better than tharntype. There is nothing new. U can predict easily what will happen.

Acting
Only best thing is acting of cast. Especially mother and son have better acting than thai boy. His face looks expression less in some part. In some part it feel like he is overacting. Still this best than story

For Hyun Bin

This is a very belated review. I watched it once it was aired and I have since rewatched it a few times. It was on my list because of Hyun Bin. When I knew that he was the male lead, I knew that I had to watch it and of course, I did!

This drama has received tons of positive reviews and I want to add mine! Hyun Bin is an absolute delight to watch! The scene where he was being transformed into a Seoul man was drop dead gorgeous!! OMG!! So very hot and sexy.

This drama has funny elements, touching elements as well as intriguing moments, suspenseful moments! The cast was excellent but my highlight was and still is Hyun Bin.

Pls watch for this very fine actor. I loved him since Secret Garden. These two are, to me, his best best best dramas thus far and I look forward to more of his brilliant work.

Watch - for the love for Hyun Bin.

A light-hearted, easy to watch and comically entertaining drama ~

A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED drama to those looking for Fun-Naughty drama genre.

This drama brought so much comfort and laugh to me for the past few days I was watching it. This may not be the most outstanding when it comes to plot twists and story schemes but it is far ahead when it comes to providing good entertainment and bliss to viewers.

Something I like about this is how light-hearted the overall mood of the drama is. Like even when there seemed to be a terrible scheme awaiting the protagonists you'll be assured it won't be that bad and will surely not ruin the joyful mood of the story. A breath of fresh air from those heavily-plotted drama that continuously give us bloody scenes to satisfy peoples great expectations.

Another thing is the bond, trust and harmony in the Family. It shows great love, affection, understanding and forgiveness towards every family members and exhibits good relationship overall.

P.S. It has my Favorite ending of ALL! A family taking care and pampering each other with not just love but also respect and mischivousness that makes it even more interesting.

Story - 10, Despite it's flaws I still want to give it a perfect score for being different from others and for giving me such enjoyment and entertainment during the whole duration i'm watching it. The unique way they made this story filled-up all its flaws and mishaps.

Acting/Cast - 10, I love them all. Good acting and they just brought so much smile to my face. They did great doing the casting and I can't ask for more. They all fit their roles and even lived up to their characters emotions and actions with such great portrayal.

Music - 10, I'm kinda 'meh' with the opening theme at first but once you settled with the drama and put your mind and heart in place with how drama wanted to cater to its viewers you'll gradually love it. The insert BGMs are quite defent too, specially the sound effects. They're reallu fun. Hahaha. Very creative and good editing.

Rewatch Value - 10, Of course! It's a feel good drama that can make you feel at peace and excited just by thinking about it. It's really a laid back drama that can make you consider watching it If you feel like to.

Overall - 10, Honestly I've been giving straight 10s to the dramas I've watched for the past few months but I don't care. I'm giving such perfect rating not because I want to but because they deserves it. Dramas tend to appear similarly to some people but it should never be treated or classified as one in general because there's a reason as to why we have different 'Genres', and that's to keep them apart. Indeed a Good Piece. =)

I don't like the story

Nothing is bad in the drama but I don't like it .
Starting few episodes were good but when love story had started ,story get bored . many times breakup and then patch up .
Then last few episodes whe he came back for the war and avoided her because many people behind him to take revenge so to protect her he made a distance with her ,she accepted his rudeness towards her and ready to marry with someone else ,on the day of marriage he intruded in her marriage ceremony and took her and proposed her ,this looked cute but they get married he avoid her by saying her that she can do anything , no one stop her as she is his wife and leaved the room then she tried to mingle but he again tried to make distance from her but can't control the emotions and they had night together . At last they patched up ,I thought she would get pregnant , normally this had been shown in such dramas but after one year leap her cousin's got pregnant ,I meant to say that they had shown in one year she got married to her lover and got pregnant where as their story got over by showing little romance and fun.
Story had happy ending but I expect more from the story . So not happy with the story .
About acting everyone is the best.

Leave much to be desired

I have a high expectation with this series since this was created by Korean producer, but this series let me down so bad. I am still glad to watch it as I discover how great Choi Jae Hyun is. I hope he get many projects after this.

Let me break down my review, beware it's long:

[STORY]
While the plot seems unique for BL, the love between supernatural being and mortal is nothing new and has been adapted in many movies and dramas. The supernatural elements in this series was not well executed and there were many glaring plot holes that made me lose focus on the story line. The ghost element was only used as plot device but the screenwriter was too lazy to construct the characterisation of the ghost itself. While fantasy drama did have more freedom for illogical things to happen, a set of boundaries and rules should be established in the realm to guide the viewers about the said fantasy element. And this series simply doesn't a give a shit about this and expect the viewers to accept many questionable things happen and pretend that was okay.

The most annoying plot holes here was no clear concept on how the ghost element implemented in real world. How is it possible that no one bat an eye with all the ghosts' shenanigans? Anyone should freak out when utensils float in the air or luge drive by itself, yet no bystander say a word about it. Peach was not even subtle when talking and showing PDA with Yoon Oh, yet no one questioned his sanity. It seems humans have well adjusted to cohabit together with ghost lol. This series never explained how the ghost's world works. the ghost literally can use and touch any solid object, like use utensils for eating, change clothes, keep the key, use facial mask for better skin, ride a luge. the ghost behave exactly like human and we are supposed to just take it in without any explanation. and if they don't have any problem to use and touch solid objects, they should be able to touch and communicate with other human, but nah

It was also not clear how the ghost cease to exist. Mario said that ghosts should resolve their sorrow before the 49th day so they can go to the other side and not become evil spirit. Yet Mario has been exist for 20+ years and neither Peach nor Yoon Oh question this anomaly ever lmao. Even after Mario found his peace, he was still around. Like how?? Why he can't go to the other side?

Finally, what's with that ending? At last, I am content that Yoon Oh can go to the better place. It is happy ending in my book, everyone getting their own peace and amend. But suddenly they have to ruin it by making it vague that Yoon Oh might be back. Like, what's the point? I thought I won't be disappointed in the last ep, and yet here we are.

[ACTING]
Yoon Oh and his mom are hand down the best part of this series. Their acting is so good and I like how their eyes can convey deep emotion as well. I feel like their talents kinda wasted here as I found the story a mess. I would rate 10.0 for them, but unfortunately Jimmy's acting was like a sore thumb. His acting was awkward and since he is the main character, it kinda ruined the moment.

[MUSIC]
The song choices are good but not really memorable.

[REWATCH VALUE]
This series managed to peeve me every episodes, so nope. I might rewatch YO's cuts only to appreciate his acting.

[OVERALL]
Might be enjoyable if u don't really care about the details. This series was beautiful if it was watched scene by scene, but there were just too many plot holes too ignore and the ending pissed me off.

Light, but meaningful drama.

BACKGROUND INFO:
Ye Zhenhan is Ye Weimian's younger twin sister. Ye Zhenhan was in a car accident, so she was in a comma. Ye Zhenhan had really good grades, and teachers gave her many opportunities because of how smart she was. Ye Weimian didn't want her sister's opportunities to go away, so she decided to take her sister's place in class. That is when she met Gu Yanluo, who is also in that class. They eventually fell in love, but Ye Zhenhan finally wakes up and people start discovering that Ye Weimian had a twin sister all this time. Watch the drama to find out how Ye Weimian and her twin find a way to solve problems, how Gu Yanluo reacts to this, and what Ye Weimian's love rival does.

STORY-------------------------------------------------------
The story is really awesome. It's difficult to describe in words. Most 24 episode dramas that take place in collage or high school are normally really light hearted, and only about how a relationship develops. I've seen reviews for those types of dramas (Put Your Head On My Shoulder and Professional Single), and the reason for such low reviews is because viewers complain there is no really plot to the story. This drama is definitely different, and I love it a lot. The backstory is very interesting, and it's always nice to see the chemistry between the leads. The drama is very even, giving that there is no character who is over the top, or emotionless. I do wish they had a few more episodes at the end, to add on even more to the story. But this plot is very good, and I hope they make more dramas like this!

ACTING/CAST---------------------------------------------
I am actually new to the leads in this story, but I know that the male lead (Gu Yanluo) has acted in other dramas as well as a support role. I'm glad that he is the main role in this drama. The female lead (Ye Weimian) really possesses great character, and suits the male lead very well. The second leads are also cute, though they seem very stereotypic. But I also love how they emphasized Ye Weimian deep relationship with her sister (Ye Zhenhan) and best friend (Lu Yao). Gu Yanluo shows more sensitivity as a male than other male leads in short school dramas, which I really like. The rival of Ye Weimian gets on my nerves, but that just means she's acting well. Everyone fits in a nice position, but I would like it more if Yan Jiuyue (Ye Zhenhan's best friend/boyfriend) took a stronger role in the story. That would make the story more interesting, and I think that actor has a lot of potential.

MUSIC-----------------------------------------------------
I heard 3 main songs in the drama, and the songs were good so I'll be looking up the OST later!

REWATCH VALUE---------------------------------------
I'm really not the type of person to rewatch dramas, since I know there are so many dramas out there to watch. I probably would rewatch a few of the clips here, and it really depends what type of person you are, and how much you like the drama.

OVERALL--------------------------------------------------
Overall, this was an amazing drama, and if I could find more of these, then I would watch them! The male and female leads are amazing, and they should be the main role in other dramas more often! There were some parts that were a tiny bit cringy, but they are just doing their job. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a slightly more emotional drama that isn't crazy. I would also recommend this to the people who complain that high school/collage setting dramas have no real plot. Have fun watching!

The most valuable series I've ever seen!!!

I think this story is too good to be able to describe. The script, the acting, the production is perfect. The story takes place in Shanghai, a turbulent era of changing political and financial situations. Struggling for survival, a rookie banker faces a gruesome struggle against his own background and must cover up. also with competitors with a former boss who is always looking to attack There is still a matter of love that must be decided all the time. The setting of the filming location in Shanghai was absolutely flawless. The best performance of the character reservation. I give this credit more than full scores.
In addition, this Chinese drama was able to stand out over Korean dramas in the end. character costume Amazes with its excellent design. An unspeakably beautiful scene in 1943 Shanghai, thanks to the team for making it perfect to watch.

Last episode background music

Hi guys, Is there anyone know what is the background music was playing in the last episode (episode 24, not the extra episode)? On the last minute when Zhou Si Yue takes Ding Xian's hand, then she looks back to her younger self back to high school and smile. I was moved by that scene, it seems to me like Ding Xian finally got what she deserved and happiness at last. Now that music keeps playing on my head. I really appreciate if you have any idea, I have tried to search by many ways like in Chinese but no hope. Thank you!

Fun, fluffy but does not really make any sense

This drama is easy to binge, easy to watch and has all the cliches one will expect with e an icicle rich male lead who just happens to have a spare room in his apartment... and a poor female lead but with some added twin-twists.

The male lead does have great character development but is in desperate need of a lesson or three about power abuse, boundaries and trust. Being extremely controlling and jealous, fun to watch but not really relationship material, even if he is rich, handsome and smart everything about him screams stay away.

The female lead may be poor but she actually has a pretty well functioning brain, yes she does make a mistake or 3 but overall she is pretty cool, talented, fun and has pretty high self esteem most of the time which is pretty unusual in a c-drama and is the reason the dram agot some extra stars.

Some parts of the story in the dram make 0 sense but hey it is fiction so just don't expect to much realism and all will be good.
I also think half of the budget for this drama went to flowers, balloons and fireworks... people it is okay to show love with action you do not have to confess with flowers every other day... The friendships in this drama are lovely and not a single character is overly annoying. All in all a pretty decent fluff piece.

YEYYY THEY REUNITED AGAIN

As i wrote in the headline , yeah this drama reunites Rulu Jiang and Li Guang Jie who previously met in drama "When We Are Together". Although this drama does not highlight the romance side compared to their previous dramas, the chemistry is still great. I think with 6 episodes on this drama it's very fitting and the filler in this drama aren't make me bored. The acting of the actor and actress in this drama is no doubt. Yes, it is so incredible. The music also catchy when i heard for the first time.

Maybe some people still confused about what this drama playing about.
So, it started with Hu Guanglai with his friends are in one band, because they practiced in the area near people's homes so that some residents are disturbed causing Hu Guanglai and his friend to be at the police station. There he met new police (Big brother Quan) and some time later becomes friends. After some time, Hu Guanglai went to prison and there was a reason why he went to prison. When he still in the prison, he found out his bestfriend (the police) died. After he gets out of prison, he searches for the perpetrator who killed his best friend. In this journey where he began to meet people who had been helped by his best friend.

At first i watch this drama because i liked so much their chemistry in WWAT (really realy wanna see them together again in next drama) and the cast of Wu Lei was interesting in my eyes. love very much his acting in this drama, and i want to watch his acting in the other drama. Big brother Quan's story moved me. huhuhu still for 6 episodes I think is very short, I need it even longer. Every character in this drama has their story and the life struggle after getting out of prison seen in this drama. I think i will rewatch it someday. So marveloussss.

Extremely Slow & Boring ...

This drama is short 6 episodes, but they are extremely slow and move along at a snail pace.

I am not exactly sure what the story line is about, as they is no flow to it, its like everyone is everywhere and there is no light at the end of the drama.

For me, it was pretty boring and forgettable. ATTENTION TO BULLYING. CUTE ACTORS. REAL KISSING. Finally!

But yeah, I personally didn't like this. I just felt disconnected from it.

Much of the series is more like a collection of disconnected scenes rather than something that flows together to weave a story. Something will happen one moment and then the next it's like the last one didn't happen.

Overall : This drama is likely to be forgotten by the time i close this off.

This drama should have been called "Fan Xian Collecting Geges/Guniangs" because all older guys considered themselves his father and all pretty ladies fall for his charms XD

I started this drama because of Xiao Zhan, but he is in the last 8 episodes or so, and since the very first episode I didn't mind because I was immediately hooked. The little boy that played Fan Xian was so good and charming I was sad to see "older" Fan Xian... I wouldn't have minded to have at least 10 episodes with little Fan Xian.

But I didn't know this was just Season 1 and Season 2 has not even started filming yet till I was on Ep15 or so :( so I think people who starts this should keep that in mind.. the cliffhanger is O_O

While I liked the characterization of all characters, and I specially like Fan Xian, I didn't trust half of them. Or more than half of them. Is this one a bad guy or a good guy? It was like this for most of the drama, but even with that, I was enjoying it. The passive-aggressiveness is hilarious, from Fan Xian and the Princess Royal, to the Crown Prince and the 2nd Prince, to the stepmother and Fan Xian at the beginning of the drama.

I am not one that particularly enjoys too much romance, so this one has just the perfect amount of it. Not too much and besides, Wan'Er makes Fan Xian happy. And she isn't dumb nor a damsel in distress, except for the fact that she is sick. So I don't understand why people do not like her :( If this was a harem, I wouldn't have minded to see Fan Xian married to Wan'Er, Si Lili and Duo Duo... all these girls were good in a way or the other and very different from each other, and best of all, they all had chemistry with Fan Xian.

The acting was good, wigs and costumes were excellent; the plot is WOW, so there isn't a single dull moment in the entire 46 episodes. In fact, I even think it was a bit short because I wanted to see more of Uncle Wu Zhu, of Fan Xian's siblings (Ruo Ruo and Fan Si Zhe... so smart and caring one, while so funny and charming the other), of the Ninth Masters (I wanted more fight scenes tbh). The songs were so fitting, specially the OP song, while the ED song became easily one of my favorites... I listen to it regularly <3 with XZ beautiful voice.

If I had to complain, it would be that I didn't understand a few things... or it was extremely witty and too advanced for my poor brain, or some things got lost in translation...

Looking forward to see them all in Season 2! I love that little smile from Zhang Ruo Yun at the end XD

Talk about a peach on the butt.

What we have here is an interesting project where actors (people) from 2 different countries work on a project. It was really an interesting concept, I will not lie. Reminds me when actors from my country and Thailand also worked on a movie together. It’s called Suddenly It's Magic. It stars Mario Maurer from Thailand and Erich Gonzales from the Philippines. I’d suggest you guys check that one out.

So… regarding Peach of Time…

Lack of chemistry, oh, my god! I’m going to word vomit this! If the mother new that Yoon Oh’s spirit was just there the whole time, why didn’t she take advantage of that fact? All the drama could’ve really been resolved if they made the plot more congruent. Unfortunately it was so messy. Can’t anyone notice that Peach keeps on looking at empty spaces? And I’m sorry, but Yoon Oh was a little whiney bítch. Talk about good god get a grip, boy! I got more feels from Tommy’s character, and his was a hetero couple which I’m dead tired of. So that tells you it’s really bad. I liked the effort of the production, but it had so many problems. And what was that ending! Did Tommy’s character just disappear? He didn’t really have a proper ending! Major eye roll.

P.S. Tommy is still my cute little boy from Why R U! Love him always!
