Fantastic Series Still Goes Strong with Season 2! Will We Get a Season 3?!?

"Age of Youth" or the Netflix title of "Hello, My Twenties" is a charming, funny, fresh, and often addictive show to get into. I was disappointed to see that Netflix only had Season 1 available. Yes, that is how much I enjoyed it! I wanted to keep watching! Overall, I liked Season 1 slightly more than Season 2.

This intelligent and creative show is about five young women who live in a share house. Of course, they come from different walks of life, have different backgrounds, and much like most people, each of them carries a secret. Like any roommates who share a living space, they get along, they laugh, they cry, and they often argue and fight. But make no mistake. These girls truly love each other and do their best to be there for each other. That is truly the beauty of this show. It proves that a "family" doesn't have to be your nuclear family. In fact, it's a bit interesting and ironic, that in some cases, these girls seem closer to each other than with their parents.

There are some truly touching moments that might tug at your heartstrings, some incredibly hilarious moments that might get you laughing out loud for a spell, and even some thought-provoking moments. In short, this show has just about everything.

First, we have Jin-Myung Yoon. Yoon doesn't say much, but when she does speak, she is honest and sincere, even to the point of being blunt. She comes across as cold, but she really isn't. Her "tough" exterior hides the wounded woman suffering through the pain of believing that she's alone. She's cautious about who she opens up to, and when she does, Yoon speaks her mind. She has a challenge of truly connecting with people and showing them who she is. However, she loves her roommates, and will do anything for them. She works three jobs and goes to school. She is the most mature of all of them, and she is my personal favorite.

Next is Ye-Eun Jung, who is probably the most immature of the group and has some serious self-esteem issues. She adores her boyfriend, despite the poor way that he treats her. Everything is about status with her. She cares about how she looks, what she wears, how much she weighs, and what everyone thinks about her. She is prone to be thoughtless, but she is also cheerful, cute, and despite her clashes with Kang, she also cares very deeply for her fellow roommates.

Ji-Won Song is the most energetic and creative of the bunch. She also has absolutely no problem expressing herself. She's never embarrassed. She will also frequently take the initiative in activities where others are hesitant. She lives her life a bit on the edge, and sometimes gets a bit carried away with the "truth." She is rarely ever down or upset, and she is the one most likely to try and cheer up a friend.

Kang Yi-Na is the only one who doesn't share a room with anyone else. A woman with a tragic past, she works as an escort. She also has no vices about walking around with little/nothing on, which makes some of the other roommates uncomfortable. She has more "life knowledge" than the other girls, especially about how men behave. She isn't tricked by the antics that men play, and this gets her into fights with Ye-Eun over Ye-Eun's naivety about her own boyfriend. It's a toss-up as to who is tougher: Kang or Yoon.

Lastly, we have Eun-Jae, who is the newest addition to the house. She is also the youngest with the least amount of life experience. Coming from the country, she is a young woman who is extremely naive about how things work. It is also very difficult for her to speak her mind or even speak up about things until it's already reached a boiling point. Very sweet with a timid personality, she is very much like the "baby sister" of the group. All of the other girls feel a sense of "protectiveness" toward her. I think I still prefer the previous actress to this one, but they're both good.

Not only is the writing top-notch, but so is the acting. These five women have a certain chemistry that can't be overlooked. They know their characters inside and out, and they make the show work! Each brings something special to the table, but it's those moments when they are truly looking out for each other as well as being there for each other that demonstrates the true power of the show.

I would guess that many people would love to have a "family" like this! Why? Because no matter what happens, at the end of the day, they truly love each other, and isn't that what a family is?

I am totally head over heels in love with this drama series and over the moon happy to have started watching both of the seasons! My biggest mistake was definitely putting this drama off for so long!

Just like many other reviews of Age of Youth 2 on MDL, I can't not compare it to the first original season. Despite the main concern that some of the loved characters weren't in season 2 and that the main actress for Eun Jae has changed, the whole story line was so fascinating and entertaining to follow. I feel like this time we saw the real Ji Won's story. She, for some reason, definitely became my favorite character from the "Belle Epoque" girl squad. I also admired that these 14 new episodes brought over a dark but exciting theme. Overall, the writer-nims for did a fantastic job at showing the girls' charms once again. The actresses were stunning, I didn't know how to feel about the new addition to the girlhood - Jo Eun at first, but I grew to love her like any other character. To be honest, I was so happy when the old cast made small cameos randomly. Another huge thing that I love about this drama franchise is the OST that they put out. The Korean soundtrack is mesmerizing and the English songs bring freshness and youthfulness into the episodes! These songs are constantly playing on repeat, can't get enough of them! And lastly, I can't let all of these things go so easily...

That's why this drama needs a season 3! There are so many untold stories and so many possibilities for the characters, I'll be waiting! Age of Youth, thank you for making my Korean drama experience even more exciting than it already is!

Firstly, I didn't watch the Season 1 of this drama. Secondly, I don't know what really made me started to watch this drama. Somehow I watched this drama from first episode until the final episode. It's a good drama. I didn't exactly went crazy over this drama but I like it nevertheless. I'm not gonna spill the beans on the content of the drama. I will say that this is one of the best drama so far for 2017 and personally for me. I recognized some of the casts because I watched them in other dramas which I'm sure all of you would be the same as well and I tend to check their profiles. Actually there is one reason why I watched this drama in the first place. It's because of an actor, Son Seung-won, who played as Im Sung-min, a close friend of Song Ji-won, who played by Park Eun-bin. I've seen Park Eun-bin in some of her other dramas as well and one of the drama was the latest 2017 drama, "Father, I'll Take Care of You". Each and every characters in this drama has their own stories. A piece of advice to those who haven't watch this drama is please watch the first season of the drama or else you won't know what exactly happen. The second season is pretty much the continuation of the first season and more new characters. It's already terrible of me not watching the first season and already watching the second season, although I did get a bit of glimpse of the first season.

Another reason why I like this drama is because the stortyline of this drama. It felt like going back in time when I was in college few years ago. The close relationship I had with my dorm-mates were precious to me just like the girls at Belle Epoque. It definitely made me reminisce the good old days back at the girls' hostel. My dorm-mates and I doesn't have stories that alike the girls at Belle Epoque but we do go through the ups and downs during our youth. It also showed me to challenges and struggles in society that each of characters had to go through in the drama and I am somewhat go through a bit of that challenges and struggles as well. I can relate myself to Han Seung-yeon's character, Ye Eun. Her struggles of achieving her parents' and extended families' exceedingly high expectations and it always goes down to her showing that good impressions or else she will only give so much of disappointment. In this second season, there are a bit of unexpected things happened to Ye Eun and it turns out good for her.

I am looking forward to Season 3 of this drama. I might watch the first season so I will get a more clearer understanding of the drama. Enjoy watching!

much worse than season one
& the frustrating thing that  season 2 doesn't explain much which i didn't get from season 1

what surprised me more  that  Lee Tae Gon Director try to dazzle us by that weird  intro in each ep. that doesn't relate to the drama at all
as if he was trying to improve that he is a genius  director

& the most provoking thing for me ever that the only good character Ryu Hwa Young in this drama the writer suddenly decided to skip all about her

the events were wrote in a very bad way from my perspective

the two seasons for me both r really bad
the stories r very shallow with only headlines with no details
the romance is in the very back seats mostly
each story has no end as if they r going to made season 3
the seasons r related

SPOILER :

the writer make one of the main couples separated without any good or reasonable reason
and the other couple didn't confess to each other with no reason
& the third couple they didn't tell us what happened to them & in the second season he decided to skip all about their story

this drama really provoked me soooooooooooooooooooooo
& i was dump enough to watch second season

what provoked me more that high rate for both seasons

Doğru konuşalım eğlendik dizide ama biraz kötüydü be.

Her karakter birbirinden şirin.
