Shizuka, a female teacher in Hirata, Shimane Prefecture, has just been transferred to an elementary school near her hometown. However, she lost all her confidence as a teacher in her former position and lost interest in her career. Her new school is a wooden school building with small schools and a dozen of students. The children are full of energy and ask Shizuka questions. Meanwhile, Shizuka realizes that one boy is always staring out the window. "I see a white ship," says Yohei, a boy pointing to a wide ocean.
