While Faith wasn't perfect, it still ended up being obsession-inducing. There were so many good things that helped make up for the flaws.

But let's get the flaws out of the way first. The biggest problems were the directing and editing. There were so many scenes that could've been amazing if they had only been executed another way. The music was edited in awkwardly sometimes, too. And the fantasy aspect was underused read more as well as some characters (Jang Bin, Eum Ja, Hwa Soo, etc). As one of my friends put it "this show doesn't seem to know how good it is."

But let's talk about all the awesome that made up for the flaws. I think the cast was AMAZING. Lee Min Ho did an amazing job as Choi Young. (And I'm only saying that partially out of the fact that I think he's really attractive. ^_^) I think it's my favorite role that I've seen him do. Kim Hee Sun also did an awesome job as Eun Soo. She was funny and quirky and strong without being annoying. And she and LMH ended up having some AWESOME chemistry. The supporting cast was excellent as well. The king and queen, the Woodalchi boys, the baddies, everyone. I think this is one of the few K-dramas that I've watched where I wasn't annoyed with some bad actor.

The storyline was also really good. Not always executed well, but still really unique and interesting. There was a lot of really good character moments and character development. It was unpredictable, funny, touching, action-packed, political, romantic... not always in a well balanced way, but the moments themselves were good.

The music was really good, just not always used well. The costumes and sets were beautiful. So, basically, there's lots to like as long as you can get over the flaws. Faith is one of my new favorites.

To me, Faith felt like a wonderful combination of a great RPG video game and an old anime called Fushigi Yugi. There were times when the show dragged, as pointed out numerous times in other reviews, but for the most part, this drama was really great to watch.

This was my first "historical", and I use the word loosely because I understand that this is by no means a real historical, in read more that there is time travel and magic. The time travel aspect isn't really unique, especially with the recent crop of dramas this year utilizing it. However, the magic was first for me, though I wish they had handled it better, or maybe utilized an explanation a little bit more. No one in the present seemed to be aware that magic ever existed, even when Eui Seon seemed to know a lot about Choi Young from her history books. You'd think that he could control lightning magic would have been a prominent focus.

The cast in this show was just amazing, seriously. Though, as it is my goal to someday have Lee Min Ho's babies, I may be a little biased. I had never even heard of Kim Hee Sun before this, and her acting in Faith has me interested in looking up her past dramas. I can't believe it's been 6 years since she has acted! The supporting cast was also a delight to watch, especially Dae Man, who I am glad we finally got a bit of his backstory later on in the drama. I kept wishing they'd tell us how he came to find Choi Young! I loved Lee Philip in Secret Garden, and I wish he had a bigger role in this drama, though I understand his eye surgery issues may have had a part in that. My main complaint on the cast probably lies more with the script than the actor himself. The King was just so whiny! I understand the idea that Kings are humans too, and I get how they tried to humanize him, but sometimes I just wanted to hit him over the head and tell him to man up already!

I make myself wait a day after finishing something before writing a review, because sometimes, you're just too close to it to accurately describe how you are feeling. And usually by that time, I have forgotten all about the music. But this show had such great music, it stuck with me. It really fit the tone of each scene remarkably well.

If you want something with lots of action, a sweet romance story (with next to zero PDA), and lots of kidnapping, murder, attempted murder, poisoning, subterfuge and court intrigue, then this is the drama for you! The romance remains the key plot point for the drama, so you have to like love stories or I think you might be rather bored by all of the posturing and pursuit of Eui Seon's heart.

Both historical romance dramas by the same writer. But Faith involves time-travel.

Both are fantasy dramas and faith has Lee Min Ho :) You get to see time travel and it is a good story.

It can get very complicated, May be little too dragging, Can also get utterly boring or may even lack any logic whatsoever, BUT watch it for Lee Min Ho, watch it Choi Yeong's unconventional and unconditional love. The only element what kept me through was their tiny bit of romance/protectiveness or friendship or whatever the hell it was! It seemed very innocent, caring and unconditional to me. I won't watch it again. But for such draggy process I felt the ending was worth it!

Since I watched it once, I actually sat through all episodes hoping to see some Romance, or something much more than just protectiveness. It made me crave for more and more, yet In a simple way, its a good timepass.

As an addict, I can say its worth a watch if you are a Korean Drama addict, Lee Min Ho fan and love sweet things in between strange situations! :)

In my opinion, this is the good drama although the story did go to different direction from viewer's expectation. There are lots of favourite things to praise in the drama like royality, bromance and romance of course. All of them represent "faith". The directing and editing might be not as good as possible but the actings and the chemistries of all the chatacters are great. The way the romance developed is very reasonable and beatiful. It's really worth watching episode by episode, but you will have to be patient enough to understand a political game shown in the show. As u understand it, you will find the plot and characters very interesting. Among Lee Min Ho's 5 dramas so far, i think and believe this is the best one despite not the high rating. His character in the drama is very charming and special in it's own way. who doesn't love a faithful "Choi Young" like him ?!?
Ps: the music is just my taste, love all the soundtracks specially the song "Carry on".

It depends! Personally, I loved Lee Min Ho in this. I thought his character was kick ass and strong, and I loved watching him fall for the doctor. But if you like lots of PDA in dramas, this one has zero. There is one, maybe two kiss scenes, though the love story is pretty prominent. It's just not expressed with kisses very much.

I am at episode no 17 and I am in love with this drama! :D I love almost everything about it. Characters and actors portraying them are amazing. Story is beautiful also. You get everything you can wish for in historical drama plus amazing chemistry and love between "couples". I really enjoy when time travel is included but this may be the best plot including that that i've seen.

Ah, and if I can give a recommendation: I am sorry to say, but the English translation/subs for this drama on dramafever are very weak, compared to viki. Sometimes my player didn't work, so I kept switching between the two sites, and the viki translations were much better in my opinion. The wording sounded more natural and befitting for a historical drama. Thanks to all the translators working on the show, though :)

I think Viki subtitles are almost always better than DF! I think DF takes too much liberty with the translation, trying to make them easier to understand for people who are unfamiliar or new to dramas. Viki is a more direct translation, and they tend to explain things in parenthesis, rather than just alter the translation. Which I like a whole lot better, since it's more interesting!

Yes, that is true. But unfortunately I had to switch to a completely different site because the new player they introduced to viki with the quality adapting didn't work for me. A shame, I really liked that site.

I really enjoyed this drama a lot, especially the beginning. I think at some point it was a bit too much of politics and treason and poisoning and going back and forth. Even though I love action, there need to be times of healing and rest as well. In that aspect, the drama was somewhat lacking. There wasn't a moment of peace in the latter episodes, which made it somewhat tiring, to be always kept on the edge of your seat. I also didn't like that the pledged brother and sister were like invincible, they could always come and go from the palace as they wished and nobody noticed, that didn't make sense. I really loved the doctor's character, though, and her interaction with the General. I just expected more from the romantic scenes in the end. Overall, a solid drama with flaws. I'd give it an 8, because I still enjoyed it a lot. I really recommend it.

it's the first time I watch a Korean time-travel drama. Overall I liked it. Even though there were some episodes I found boring, the fact is I couldn't stop watching it. Maybe it was because of the actors. I found the acting very good. I liked the romance between the two leads, I liked the relationship between the king and the queen too. The villains were amazing too. Some scenes were very emotional and intense, the feelings were present. I think that's why I enjoyed it. Too bad the visual effects were not very good, especially the supernatural powers and abilities of some characters. They could have done so much better.
