Both feature a struggling musician who falls in love with a younger girl through music. The Liar and his Lover is more dramatic and talks about dealing with fame/forbidden love, while Fight Song is more about two people who’ve been having difficulties in life discovering new beginnings and falling in love for the first time.

both directed by the same director...those shots, that cinematography and the background music will feel the same. Kanojo is more mainstream and taiyou no uta is more indie but nontheless both yui and sakurako are tremendous singers.

Music, romance, very sweet characters. Kanojo wa Uso Wo Aishisugiteru is a bit more mature and slightly melodramatic (but only very slightly). Make sure you watch until after the credits ;) while Ai Ore! Is more superficial and scripted to fit the label 'cute' (as with many manga adaptations)

Someone caught his eye - Bok Shil, who looks exactly like his deceased girlfriend, Hye Soo. Seung Hee followed Bok Shil in order to get some answers and ended up falling for her. Still the questions remain, is he attracted to Bok Shil because of the memories of his ex-girlfriend, or does he like Bok Shil for who she is? Similar stories with musical theme. A "musical drama" interspersed with a story, reminiscent of the Disney series.

Well, both shows about love through music with a dude being a musical genius and a girl having natural talent and a pure, honest heart. Both have a satisfying happy ending but with The Liar... you need to watch the after-credits scene. The Cantabile ML is totally different in character, funny, strong and sarcastic as hell, here we've got a more melancholic and supporting dude. Don't get me wrong - the Cantabile Chiaki-dude is supporting but in a different way and his mask agenda seems rude but in a funny way, you can't dislike his duo with Noda because their characters fit each other perfectly in such a romance-comedy. Try it.
