Perfect side story

This side story if not really a side story for me. It's more a glimpse of what changed between Oh-aew and The since the end of part 1. It helps us to understand better how their relationship evolved and thus we'll not be lost at the beginning of part 2. It's real transition, The says it himself. Now that there is no sun to watch, they have to watch the moon. And I think it's very beautiful. PP and Billkin are so comfortable with each other, I love the sweet gestures between them and Teh doesn't seem afraid of showing publicly his affection, I know we'll have angst but I have hope for so many good moments in part 2.

I thought it would be a fan service video with only cute moments between those two . But I was wrong because in this 10 minutes video, Nadao still deal with coming of age theme. When you have to study elsewhere, far for home, when you life is gonna change for real and it's scary but also exciting. For instance, I like the fact that, during the scene on the beach, Oh-aew is not crying because he'll miss Teh. He's crying because he is saying goodbye to his younger self and his past life.

Last but not least, I'm always so much impressed by the cinematography. It's so beautiful, and it's only 10 minutes! The shots, the light... it's real art.

AMAZING

As if I wasn't excited for Part 2 enough, Nadao decides to surprise us all on 520 with this stunning short film. I don't really know what else to say. Stop reading this and watch it NOW. You will thank me. :) But MDL requires at least 500 characters... so, just trust me that everything in this short film is perfect... it makes me want to immediately watch part 1 again or better yet, teleport right now to Phuket old town. Once the pandemic ends, the Phuket government should definitely use this film in an advertising campaign! It almost seems it was sponsored by them.

NOW THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT!

As I was just about ready to give up on Thai BLs, this gave me hope. This is an astoundingly good short side story that encapsulates everything that was good in "I Told Sunset About You' and hopefully is a foretelling of things to come in Season 2. It is an amazingly charming story that is nostalgic yet full of hope for the future with ever so slight forebodings.

Increasingly, I am finding Thai BLs so formulaic and lack any intense love between two guys. I am hoping this will break that cycle and show that two guys really can love each other and be able to show it with conviction.

Well done!

What A Side-Story Can Be And Should Be

A lot of what I said about "I Told Sunset About You" can also be said about this side story. Beautiful breathtaking shots, seriously whoever is working on these projects needs recognition. Using bright colors that carry meaning with them (blue and red, as well as mixing the two together). Incredible acting and chemistry from our leads, they melt your heart. Music and tone that will make you crumble. It's all so freaking solid!

This takes place after ITSAY season one and in between season two where Ohm is about to go off to college. Were seeing how he's handling that change and Teh wants to give him a last great day where they are. Sweet and simple, while also effective. Of course I wanted more but we gotta wait for season two soon! Can't be too greedy lol. I think if you're going to do a side-story for this show this is the only way to do it well. We don't really need anything else before the second season, so bravo!

I loved how this story had Teh saying "I love you" for the first time to Ohm. That was really nice. There's definitely some growth already showing in characters. There's also use of no sun anymore as the day ends, so now it's looking at the moon. Nice transition into second season. So many callbacks and look forwards. Can't wait until season two!

The perfect bridge between itsay and ipytm

If you are done watching itsay and you are already in love with the masterpiece , just don't hold back my dear and watch this with eng subs on nadao's youtube channel and get ready to rewatch it on loop . And it's important to mention here that ' tears were shed' while watching this cause i was hyper overwhelmed and died many times watching this not because it was super sad , it's just i couldn't hold back my tears when ' phuket love piano' and ' skyline orchestra ' played on the background , bringing back all the beautiful memories of itsay.
Yeah that's how good this is.
P.s. Dear phuket you will be missed.

I highly recommend watching this first before watching season 2. It is certain that the series from Nadao must have very good cinematography, I was amazed by every shoot. my favorite scene is when oh aew and tea hug on the beach, somehow the scene feels very powerful. The side story is very simple but in some scenes it can be very powerful. And the tone of this movie it's makes more warm. And the romance in this story i srelally cute, like idk i just love it, they give us really natural skinship. I just love it the way nadao gave us side story, it's really worth it to watch.

Good Foreshadowing

This was a perfect side story in that it was a good foreshadowing of events to unfold in Season 2. Nothing remains the same. Everything will change over time just as their relationship will. It’s always a question on whether we grow with those changes or if we try to hold on to what once was instead. That change between being in love as a teenager into the relationship as an adult can be fraught with moments of exquisite joy and heartbreaking pain and this piece showed with them riding around together in the motorbike visiting all of the places that have changed over the time from their childhood to the moment on this cusp of adulthood. I highly recommend watching this as a movement between the two seasons.

The sweetest feelings that remain

A perfect short film the accompany the prequel series I Told Sunset About you and the sequel I Promised You the Moon.
Oh aew will leave Phuket and wants to spend the last day with the lohl. And Teh promises to make the last day memorable.

The cinematography, the acting and the visuals are as amazing as always. It's a feel good episode that will make you squeal and smile. The chemistry between PP Krit and Billkin is phenomenal as always.

I enjoyed this shortfilm to the fullest.

A short brief masterpiece

Less than 15 minutes and this short tells such a big story about moving on.
Both Teh and Oh are on opposite sides of how they feel about their upcoming moves to Bangkok and they still have a little bit of a divide when it comes to intimacy and openness but we do see how strongly they feel for each other and how in tune they are with each other.
It's a short short film but dang it leaves a big punch. Polished to the same shine as ITSAY.
It's such a fond farewell to ITSAY. The montage and seeing a lot of the locations again.

A subtle and perfect way to present a middle point.

It is very difficult to deliver a side story that is at the height of the source material, mainly because of its duration, however, we are facing a jewel, like almost everything created by this franchise.

Last Twilight in Phuket is many things but above all it is a beginning and an end, it is the end of I Told Sunsent About You, we see how the boys say goodbye not only to their beloved town but also to a time and a space that they keep important moments of his youth including his friendship and love and it is the beginning of I Promised you the Moon, which, like a promise, what follows in his lives is uncertain not only in what his relationship represents, if not everything else, adult life, grow up, walk away from everything they love and know and enter a world that, although it seems fascinating, also seems to hide dangers in it.

It also serves as a bridge to experience even a little bit of the time that the boys have spent together after the end of ITSAY, I think a bit as a gift to the fans because it is clear that the change they will experience in IPYTM be great and important and the last we saw of them was the beginning of their relationship, at least we have the idea that they have been together and happy this time, but that in some way it has been like a counted time, and in that sense it is a good starting line to remember what the characters are like and the maturation process that is about to begin, in more ways than one.

One of the most beautiful things in this short is that every second you can feel a deep feeling of nostalgia invade you, very similar to listening to a story that comes from the past, almost everything we saw on ITSAY as well as in the first half of the short film takes place in settings full of light and life, bathed by the ocean and the youthful vibe; in the middle of the short and what IPYTM has in store for us, we have a noticeable change of scenery and although the landscapes never cease to be beautiful, they give rise to the nuances, the dark and the night, a subtle way of telling characters and audiences that vibrant youth is giving way to something else.

Although the moments that Oh and Teh have in the short are sweet and romantic, even so, we can see in their faces, looks and expressions that little doubt and fear about what will happen to their love once they leave normality they are used to, it is very powerful how much a couple of minutes can transmit to you when the cinematographic language is so well implemented, not only in the performances but in each shot, the colors, the montage, the dialogues and the music.

Fluff, nostalgia and poesy in Phuket: not essential but cute little side-story

Ultra short episode of 14 minutes of pure fluff with Teh and Oh-aew being lovey-dovey together.

It is the last night in Phuket of the couple before moving on into Bangkok for their university studies. This special episode serves clearly as a good transition between the Part 1 of the show "I Told Sunset About You" and its Part 2 "I Promised You The Moon".

It is not necessarily a "must-see" and not that memorable, but if you liked ITSAY and its main couple, you will for sure enjoy this cute little side-story which has a poetic and nostalgic vibe.

The Perfect Ending

I'm so glad I made the decision to watch this after Season 2 because it was such a palette cleaner and I definitely prefer to think of this as the ending. There's the perfect balance of nostalgia and nervous anticipation for what's to come, and you're able to see how much the characters have grown through the events of season 1 while also acknowledging that they and the world around them are constantly changing and that ups and downs of their relationship will come with that. The cinematography is beautiful, as expected.
