When a Snail Falls in Love (2023)

• Both are based on Ding Mo's works.
• Although in LMIYD, Simon's character seems to be more intense than our captain in WASFIL, both are haunted by a past which motivates them to be best at what they do.
• We see many cases being solved in both, ultimately leading to the one main case.

Very similar in the way the leads falls in love and they work on cases together. The leads also have great chemistry!

Similarities:

The main leads fall in love (though Hello Monster has less romance I believe and they don’t get together until the very end)
More serious male lead in both
Smart female lead in both
Different cases get worked on but there is also one main big case leading up through the series
The chemistry is better for the main leads in WASFIL I believe.
Both are very enjoyable to watch ?

They are both based on the same novel, each country gave their version a different tone.
I think it's always interesting for the viewers to watch both and decide the pros and cons of both.
