Super Rookie (신입사원: rookie employee) is an intelligent comedy which gives hope and courage to young people going through difficult times.
It is a story of a young man (Kang Ho) who gets a job in a prestigious company (LK) due to a computer error. He doesn't have a great family or educational background and is regarded as a slacker in the traditional terms. Worst yet, he seems to spend his life read moredevoted to reading comic books, playing cards, kick boxing, and the like. However he is spirited, street smart, athletic, loyal, and charismatic - especially with the ladies. The drama reveals how he gets his new job, his work-life, and the love and passions in his life in a very interesting way. He never gets discouraged despite all of life's difficulties. Kang Ho's high spirits and Mi-ok's efforts to improve her life give today's younger generation a chance to look at their own lives and ponder what's truly valuable.

Super Rookie is one of those dramas you need a reason to keep watching midway through- either you fell in love with a character, or you have to see the end. Complete with fan service, idols, comedy and a little corporate deviancy; Super Rookie will keep you entertained (for the most part) and has a feel good ending.
I watched super rookie for Eric (why else) and honestly even when the plot read more bored me, when there were too many long pauses accompanied by the ost music, I still fangirled over Eric’s face and beautiful body. Even though the majority of my time was spent fangirl squealing there were other good parts too. Episode 1-9 there is a good amount of fanservice of eric and oh ji ho (another lovely specimen) for us ladies. The story line is an original one that hasn’t been overused, you know Kang Ho’s secret could get out at anytime so the story increased the feeling of constant suspense. Funny supporting characters were well developed as Kang Ho’s friends and truly brought out the funny moments (to be honest, the brother is a show stealer). I loved that Kang Ho was the peoples man, and like naruto (I am watching that right now too) most people who met him, loved him and found they were fast friends.
What I didn’t like was the antagonist roles. There were so many antagonists it was really hard to keep rooting for the main character. The Lee Bong Sam character constantly completed actions that seemed to conflict with his character, I think the writers were trying to show his development but the actor didn’t bring that out very well. The executives who hated Kang Ho were just plain annoying especially with their fake laugh, but you do not know who is the most evil until the very end.
I love Han Ga In, but I didn’t love her role. In super Rookie she pulled an ugly duckling to swan move, which I found unrealistic mainly because of the seemingly 200% expansion of her wardrobe. Speaking of wardrobe I HATED that Kang Ho through the whole drama wore the same suits, oh that ground my gears so bad!! Poor Eric had the absolutely worst wardrobe I have ever seen for a lead male character in any kdrama and it really made me long for the days of Spy Mung Wol. Eric wasn’t the only culprit, most of the “corporate” suiting looked like poorly fitted 30’s gangster suits with none of the swag. Idk why but aside from the clothes everyones hair styling (except Han Ga In) was really bad too.
This is a good watch if you are just finishing a really serious drama or a super funny drama. Although his acting talent was still budding; Eric will keep you engaged as Kang Ho who is naive, yet street smart, good at everything except staying awake on the job, and you really do begin to hope he succeeds. This has got family drama elements, preached against all odds you too can succeed, and has light enough romance that tweens could watch no problem. Yes I got bored in the middle but that’s what fast forward is for, plus the pay off at the end was good.

This is one of my favorite dramas. Then why rate it so low? Well, it's been ages since I watched this and the truth is that this drama becomes a bit boring and repetitive midway with plenty of "let's fast forward" moments. But this one is a good basic well balanced drama with everything kept in control and the end wraps everything up nicely.

The comedy is the best part of this, read more the show kept me cracking up all the time, especially during the first half. If you want a laugh of your life try watching this, maybe the first episode is a bit boring but the story picks up well after that.

The cast does a great job except.. ahem... Han Ga In who nothing but pissed me off every freaking second she spent on the screen. Thus it was hard to root for the main couple. Other than her the cast was splendid indeed and I fell in love with all the 'oldies' and their 'I'm laughing because I know something you don't, even though you just insulted me. You just wait and I will destroy you' - moments.

I found this drama dumb but in a good way. Of course I only watched it for ha gal in and there could have been a lo more of her. At least all the actors did a great job even though most of the characters where all over the place. The second male lead in particular had a rough time nailing down his role. But oh well Ha ga in made a lot of sweet cute girly face and Patently everything worked out in the end so I'm happy.

First of all,i have to admit that this drama is awfully underrated and i just can't stay still thinking of how much potential it has. From my point of view,a good drama, movie, anime is that when you cannot realize how fast it passes. You don't want it to end so soon(although you might have seen lots of episodes). This is my opinion of this drama. You will find yourself laughting all day long while watching it.Beside the fact that it's hilarious,it is also well constructed,it has no flaws, good acting, pretty good music, etc.

It was the fist drama that i've seen with Eric as the lead actor and i was fascinated by this type of acting of his.I think he really enjoyed playing this role, acting stupid, making funny faces and proving to be a really smart and good guy in the end.
    Watch it!
You will fall in love with this drama and i'm not kidding.
