Lee Mi Do confirmed to join Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young in a new SBS K-drama
B1A4's Jung Jin Young and TWICE's Kim Da Hyun will reportedly team up for a new movie.
On May 14, media outlets reported that Jung Jin Young and Kim Da Hyun had been picked to lead the upcoming Korean remake of the Taiwanese film You Are the Apple of My Eye. The two will star as the main characters of the remake.
With this, Kim Da Hyun's agency JYP Entertainment shared their response regarding the casting news. According to them, "It is true that Kim Da Hyun has received the offer to star in the Korean remake of You Are the Apple of My Eye. The TWICE member is currently reviewing the offer."
Meanwhile, Jung Jin Young's side hasn't given their statement yet.
You Are the Apple of My Eye is a 2011 Taiwanese film. The movie premiered in Korea in 2012 and was loved by the nation. The movie depicts the story of first love and a young romance between the school's troublemaker and a model student who has to monitor the troublemaker.
Jung Jin Young got the offer to play the role of Jin Woo, the troublemaker in school. Kim Da Hyun on the other hand received the offer to play the role of Sun Ah, the model student that everyone has a crush on.
Indie film director Cho Young Myung will helm the upcoming movie.
There are no official details yet on the release date of the Korean remake of You Are the Apple of My Eye.
If Jung Jin Young confirms his casting, this will be his grand comeback to the big screen. He was last seen in a film through the 2019 movie The Dude in Me.
Aside from the upcoming film, Jung Jin Young will also join in the upcoming K-dramas Miss Granny, Summer Vacation, and Sweet Home Season 3.
Meanwhile, this upcoming film will possibly be Kim Da Hyun's second acting project since its debut. She is also in talks to lead the upcoming film Sprint with actors Ha Seok Jin and Lee Shin Young.
Although Kim Da Hyun is pursuing solo activities, she will still participate in all of TWICE's schedules. TWICE together will release their fifth full-length album "DIVE" in Japan on July 17.
