Cho Byeong Kyu will possibly return to the limelight through a new drama!

According to reports, Cho Byeong Kyu will finally return with a new drama after several months of hiatus. He will reportedly star in the upcoming drama titled "History of Losers."

Earlier this year, Cho Byeong Kyu was embroiled in a controversy over school violence. After several alleged victims shared their experiences with the actor, Cho Byeong Kyu responded that their statements were all false accusations and he will take legal action. Due to this issue, Cho Byeong Kyu also kept silent for the past months.

The actor was supposed to be the main lead for the upcoming drama "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi" but it was then offered to another actor. If Cho Byeong Kyu accepts the offer to star in "History of Losers" this will be his first project after the controversy.

"History of Losers" will be based on the Naver webtoon of the same name helmed by Kim Poong and Shim Yoon Soo. The upcoming series will be directed by "Confidential Assignment" director Kim Sung Hoon. The author of the webtoon Kim Poong will also work on the script of the drama.

The drama will narrate the story of people who can't stop becoming a nerd when falling in love. Cho Byeong Kyu received the offer to play the character of Seo Min Ki. He's a freshman in Korean literature.

Before all the controversy happened, Cho Byeong Kyu was one of the most talked-about actor. His drama "The Uncanny Counter" gained so much love that it broke OCN's ratings. His acting was also praised in the dramas "Hot Stove League" and "SKY Castle."

The actor is currently in a legal battle between the alleged victims since February.

The first news about Cho Byeong Kyu after a few months of hiatus was released this week. His agency announced that the actor renewed his contract with HB Entertainment. They also shared that the renewal happened after "Uncanny Counter" ended.
