Choo Young Woo is in talks to join the upcoming K-drama Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour.

On April 18, various media channels revealed that Choo Young Woo will be joining Joo Ji Hoon in the upcoming web novel-based K-drama titled Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour.

Choo Young Woo's agency then responded to the reports. According to JWIde Company, their artist Choo Young Woo is currently reviewing the offer to star in the new K-drama. 

If Choo Young Woo confirms his casting, this will be his follow-up K-drama after Oasis. He is currently part of the KBS K-drama together with Jang Dong Yoon, Seol In Ah, Do Sang Woo, Oh My Girl's Hyun Seung Hee, and Jin Yi Han

Choo Young Woo made his acting debut in 2021. If he will officially join Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour, this will be his first time portraying a doctor role. He usually stars as a student in his past dramas.

The actor is known for being part of the K-dramas You Make Me Dance, Police University, School 2021, Once Upon a Small Town, and more.

Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour will base its story on the web novel of the same name penned by Han San Yi, a known Youtuber, and otolaryngologist. The series will showcase the journey of the genius surgeon Baek Kang Hyuk and his medical team at the Severe Trauma Center.

Joo Ji Hoon will play the role of the genius surgeon named Baek Kang Hyuk. Choo Young Woo on the other hand got the offer to play the role of Yang Jae Won. He is the first student of Baek Kang Hyuk in trauma surgery. He is the only son of a doctor's family and a scholar student at medical school. 

The upcoming K-drama will be penned by writer So Hyun Kyung, the same writer for the series My Golden Life and Twenty Again.

There are no other castings revealed yet aside from Joo Ji Hoon and Choo Young Woo.
