Uhm Tae Hwa-directed Concrete Utopia has topped the box office for two consecutive days. Director Ryoo Seung Wan's Smugglers is heading towards 4 million viewers.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, Concrete Utopia attracted 1,67,929 viewers on August 10th, securing the top spot at the box office. The cumulative audience has reached 4,16,584.

Released on August 9th, Concrete Utopia is a disaster drama film that tells the story of survivors gathering at the Hwang Goong Apartments in Seoul after a massive earthquake turned the city into ruins.

The moving performances of Lee Byung HunPark Seo JoonPark Bo Young, and other actors, the message-driven and empathy-evoking story have earned praise from the audience.

Smugglers recorded 65,402 viewers, ranking second with a cumulative audience of 3.9 million. It is expected to surpass 4 million viewers.

Set in 1970s, Smugglers is a crime drama that unfolds in a seaside village where two women get caught up in a smuggling scheme. 

The intriguing plot surrounding the crime, Ryoo Seung Wan's excellent direction, and the outstanding performances of Kim Hye SooYeom Jung AhZo In SungPark Jung MinGo Min Si, and Kim Jong Soo, have won over the audience.
