What attracted me to Black Pean? Why I started watching it?

I love Nino so I would have gotten around to watching it at some point, but why now?  I saw spoiler free screen caps in the MDL feeds and decided I wanted to watch it while it aired (along with 99.9  season 2 and Hana Nochi Hare).

Spoiler free synopsis

The setting is a University hospital, where published papers and jockeying for medical and political positions is the only way to get your name known and to get ranked higher and get more patients. But there is one doctor, who doesn't publish papers, lives in the "Nap Room" and seems to have the best skills in the hospital.  So why is he subservient to the Head Doctor?  Why is he considered the "demon?"

What hit me while watching the first 4 episodes?

The cast and story. I haven't seen this story told before and the cast is executing it extremely well. The confidence and surety that just exudes from Dr. Tokai Seishiro is just jaw dropping.

Why you should watch it

Someone called Dr. Tokai a tsundere character, but he doesn't really warm up. He wants to save lives, but on his terms and his terms only. There is also a mysterious x-ray he keeps looking at. Watch it for the mystery and the story.
