Media outlet Dispatch exposed what Uzurocks have been doing with Song Ji Hyo and other employees' unfair treatment and unpaid wages.
On May 17, Dispatch revealed that not only did Song Ji Hyo suffer from unpaid wages but also other employees of the agency. Song Ji Hyo hasn't received her unpaid wages totaling 900 million won ( over $672,000) and six other employees who were also unpaid until now. The media outlet also shared how Song Ji Hyo is more concerned about the employees who were victims of the agency and are currently suffering financially.
The six employees of Uzurocks are in their 20s and 30s and their average annual income is around 27 million won (around $20,000). These people are now suffering due to the delayed salary and other expenses they shouldered on behalf of the company. Some of the employees even became credit delinquent because of this.
Despite Song Ji Hyo not getting paid, she is more concerned about the employees. According to the workers, Song Ji Hyo gave her card for the expenses. The actress also paid for the hospital expenses of one employee.
Song Ji Hyo stated the situation, "I can live without the owed money right now. However, the employees who got affected by the situation now became credit delinquents, their credit cards are blocked and the cell phone plans were cut off. The CEO of Uzurocks pays 2 million won for the lease payment of his Porsche which is a luxury. Meanwhile, the 2 million won a month that these friends should receive is a necessity for their living."
The actress stepped forward and called the company out because she was aware that this method will make it to the news and more attention will be given to the issue. With this, employees might finally get their justice and unpaid wages.
After a thorough investigation of Dispatch, it was revealed that Song Ji Hyo's settlement money was not only the problem but also, other business ventures of the CEO were closed because of fraud. Because of this, employees and Song Ji Hyo got affected by Uzurocks' CEO's issues.
Early this month, it was revealed that Song Ji Hyo filed a lawsuit against Uzurocks and also terminated her contract with the agency.
