The Netflix series Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 unveiled stills of Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee from Season 2, set in modern Korea in 2024. It also revealed the new casting lineup for Season 2.

Season 1 of Gyeongseong Creature was set in the dark times of the spring of 1945 and told the story of two young people confronting monsters born out of greed.

If Season 1 vividly portrayed not only monsters born from greed but also humans who were more monstrous than the creatures, Season 2 shifts its backdrop to Seoul in 2024.

In the final episode, the post-credit scene showed Ho Jae, who has the same face as Jang Tae Sang (Park Seo Joon) from Geum Okdang. He has a scar running vertically behind his neck, leaving curiosity about his backstory, and the revealed stills evoke curiosity about what mysterious events will befall Han So Hee's character in Season 2.

Director Jung Dong Yoon said that he drew the story of Season 2 by focusing on "Tae Sang and Chae Ok's fate and future," and that "Season 2 is a story with a completely different charm."

Jin Jong Hyun, the VFX supervisor, said, "Because space and time have changed, I think it will be expressed with clear differentiation. The worldview will be expanded further," he said

The actors added, "It would be great if you look forward to how the past narrative of Tae Sang and Chae Ok will be portrayed in Season 2" (Park Seo Joon), and "I hope you will pay attention to how Chae Ok has changed over a long period and whether Ongseong Hospital was really destroyed." (Han So Hee)

Moreover, it has been announced that Lee Moo Saeng and Bae Hyun Seong will join Season 2.

Gyeonseong Creature Season 2 will be released on Netflix sometime in 2024. Watch the Season 2 Announcement video below
