Hijacking, starring Ha Jung WooSung Dong IlYeo Jin Goo, and Chae Soo Bin, has confirmed its theatrical release in June.

Distributors Sony Pictures Entertainment Korea and Kidari Studio announced that actors Ha Jung Woo, Sung Dong Il, Yeo Jin Goo, and Chae Soo Bin, among others, are confirmed to star in the upcoming thriller. 

Hijacking tells the story of people fighting for their lives in an extreme situation when a passenger plane is hijacked in the airspace of Korea in 1971.

The film is set against the backdrop of the 1970s when airplane hijackings were rampant around the world.

Ha Jung Woo (Narco-Saints, Boston 1947RansomedAlong With the Gods) plays the role of Tae In, a pilot operating the airplane. Tae In is a former Air Force fighter pilot with excellent skills and a sense of responsibility. He tries to find ways to overcome the dangerous situation of being hijacked while on the flight.

Hotel del Luna actor Yeo Jin Goo plays Yong Dae, a passenger on the plane. 

Additionally, veteran actor Sung Dong Il takes on the role of Gyu Sik, the captain of the airplane. 

Chae Soo Bin is set to play the role of flight attendant Ok Soon, a character who displays calmness and a strong appearance even in crises.

The screenplay is penned by Kim Kyung Chan, the writer who won screenplay awards at major domestic award ceremonies for the movie 1987: When the Day Comes. Kim Seong Han, who has accumulated experience as an assistant director in many works such as 1987: When the Day Comes and Ashfall, is taking the director's chair.
