Oh Eui Shik joins Lee Min Ki's new action thriller K-drama
Confidential Assignment 2: International has confirmed its cast lineup!
The box office 2017 film "Confidential Assignment" is having a sequel and original cast Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin and Girls Generation Im Yoon Ah are all confirmed to return in the action-comedy movie. Daniel Henney and Jin Seon Kyu are the new addition to the star-studded lineup.
"Confidential Assignment 2: International" will follow the journey of main lead Rim Chul Ryung (North Korean) played by Hyun Bin to South Korea in pursuit of a brutal and secret criminal organization. He will work again with the South Korean detective Kang Jin Tae played by Yoo Hae Jin.
Daniel Henney and Jin Seon Kyu are the new additions to the film. Daniel Henney will play the role of Jack, an FBI detective from United States who is chasing a North Korean criminal organization involved in global crimes. Jin Seon Kyu on the other hand, will play as the leader of the North Korean criminal organization named Jang Myung Joon.
Girls Generation's Im Yoon Ah will return as the sister in law of Kang Jin Tae (Yoo Hae Jin) named Park Min Young. She has great affection to Hyun Bin's character, Rim Chul Ryung. She's a self proclaimed Youtuber but in her sister's eyes, she's just unemployed.
"Confidential Assignment 2: International" will be the return of Hyun Bin to the big screen since his last film Rampant in 2018. The actor once again dominated the drama scene with the global hit "Crash Landing On You" in 2019.
The movie sequel will be directed by Lee Seok Hoon, who was behind the great films "The Pirates" and "The Himalayas". Many are already looking forward to the chemistry of the cast and its fun and action-packed plot.
Filming for "Confidential Assignment 2: International" is expected to begin in February.
