tvN released the character poster of Jang Dong Gun, who returns as Ta Gon in the upcoming weekend drama Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon.

Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon is set in the mythical land of Arth, where the fate of its inhabitants is shaped by the wielder of the sword.

The drama tells the story of the intertwined destinies of Ta Gon (Jang Dong Gun), Eun Seom/Sa Ya (Lee Joon Gi), Tan Ya (Shin Sae Kyeong), and Tae Al Ha (Kim Ok Bin).

In the character poster, behind the charisma of Ta Gon - the King of Arthdal, sitting on the pinnacle of power - a sense of loneliness and unease is shown. His appearance in the poster is quite different from his past self, where he was fearless and exuded dignity, showcasing a distinct change.

After a lot of struggle, he secured the greatest power of dominion, but now he has more to protect: his son Arak and his people. It's interesting to see how the 8 years of kingship have changed him.

The text on the poster reads, "You must win this war to earn the qualification. The qualification as a king". Curiosity peaks about the impending war and the new heights Ta Gon aims to reach.

Be seated for the premiere of Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon on September 9th on Disney+.
