Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Jo Hyang Gi is back to acting after two years.
On March 27, Jo Hyang Gi's agency shared that the actress is confirmed to join the upcoming KBS daily K-drama Apple of My Eye. She will be part of the daily drama and will showcase a new side of her in the soon-to-air series.
Jo Hyang Gi was last seen in the 2021 K-drama The All-Round Wife with Han Da Gam, Han Sang Jin, Shim Ji Ho, Yoon Da Young, Yang Mi Kyung, and Geum Bo Ra.
She made her debut in the industry in 2003. Before she became an actress, Jo Hyang Gi was first recognized as a former member of the 1998 Korean Super Elite Model Contest.
Jo Hyang Gi is known for being part of the works Gloria and 6 Years in Love.
Apple of My Eye will tell the story of the growth of a family while they raise their children together. It will center on the single dad who adopted a child and is the apple of his eye.
The upcoming series will be the next project of director Choi Ji Yeong who is also known for the series Stock Struck, Love on a Rooftop, April Kiss, and more.
It will be led by Seo Joon Young, Yoon Da Young, Song Chae Hwan, Kim Shi Hoo, Kim Si Eun, and Kim Ha Gyeom.
Seo Joon Young will play the role of Geum Kang San. He is a single dad who adopted a child to raise. The adopted child named Geum Jam Di will be played by Kim Si Eun.
Jo Hyang Gi will play the role of Choi Su Ji. She was born as a golden spoon and lived like a queen.
This will also be the reunion project of director Choi Ji Yeong and Jo Hyang Gi. The two worked together in The All-Round Wife.
Apple of My Eye will exclusively air on KBS 1TV daily starting today at 8:30 PM KST.
