Joo Jong Hyuk will work alongside Go Ah Sung in the upcoming movie "Because I Hate Korea."

BH Entertainment confirmed on January 10 that Joo Jong Hyuk will be one of the main leads of the upcoming movie "Because I Hate Korea." 

This will be one of the upcoming films for the actor for 2023. Joo Jong Hyuk will also be part of the upcoming movie "One Ten Thousandths of a Second" with Moon Jin Seung and Jang Jung Hee.

Joo Jong Hyuk made his acting debut in 2018. Last year, he gained more attention for starring in one of the most popular k-dramas of 2022, "Extraordinary Attorney Woo." He became more popular after perfectly portraying the role of Kwon Min Woo, the colleague of the main lead. 

The actor has starred in several k-dramas since his debut such as "My ID Is Gangnam Beauty," D.P.," "Yumi's Cells," "The Veil," "Happiness," and more. 

According to reports, Joo Jong Hyuk will also be part of the "Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2" which will premiere in 2024.

The upcoming movie "Because I Hate Korea" will be the latest work of director Jang Kun Jae, the same director who helmed "Monstrous," "Vestige," "A Midsummer's Fantasia," and more. 

"Because I Hate Korea" will tell the story of a woman who leaves Korea and went to New Zealand to study. The story will be depicted from the novel of the same name by Jang Kang Myung. 

Joo Jong Hyuk will work alongside Go Ah Sung and will portray the role of Gye Na. Joo Jong Hyuk will play the character named Jae In, the classmate of Gye Na abroad and her future lover. 

"Because I Hate Korea" began filming in July of 2022. The release date of the film is not yet confirmed.
