Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Park Min Young, Song Kang, Girl’s Day Yura, and Yoon Park are confirmed to work together for a JTBC drama.
Several reports confirmed on June 21 that the upcoming JTBC drama "Meteorological Agency People: The Cruelty of Office Romance" will be led by Park Min Young, Song Kang, Girl’s Day Yura, and Yoon Park.
“Meteorological Agency People: The Cruelty of Office Romance” will begin its production this summer. The upcoming drama is slated to air in the first half of 2022.
"Meteorological Agency People: The Cruelty of Office Romance" will narrate the work and love life of the employees at the National Weather Service. Director Cha Young Hoon ("When The Camellia Blooms" and "Uncontrollably Fond" ) and scriptwriter Sun Young will work together for the upcoming drama.
Park Min Young will play the role of Jin Ha Kyung, a smart person with a cold and sensitive personality who has a few friends and doesn't mingle that much with others. Song Kang on the other hand will play as a dumb-looking office worker who has an IQ of 150 named Lee Shi Woo. Yura takes on the role of Chae Yoo Jin, a weather reporter at Moonmin Ilbo. Meanwhile, Yoon Park will portray the character of Han Ki Joon who is a communicator of the Meteorological Administration.
For this year, Song Kang previously appeared in two dramas such as Netflix's original series "Love Alarm 2" and tvN's "Navillera." He is also the main lead of the ongoing JTBC drama "Nevertheless," with Han So Hee.
Park Min Young last starred in the 2020 JTBC drama "When The Weather Is Fine" with Seo Kang Joon. "Meteorological Agency People: The Cruelty of Office Romance" will be her comeback drama in 2 years. For this year, the top actress was part of the third installment of the Netflix program "Busted 3."
Girl’s Day Yura is set to star in the 2021 drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up" with Song Hye Kyo, Jang Ki Yong, EXO's Oh Se Hun, and more. She was also part of the dramas "Hip Hop Teacher," "After The Show Ends," "The Clinic for Married Couples: Love and War 2," and more.
Yoon Park is also set to appear in the 2021 tvN drama "You Are My Spring" starring Seo Hyun Jin, Kim Dong Wook, and Nam Gyu Ri.
