Netflix has dropped the official trailer of Queenmaker ahead of the K-drama's release, upping the anticipation and excitement for the fans.  

The 39th Seoul Mayoral By-election is around the corner and contestants are gearing up to win votes. Hwang Do Hee (Kim Hee Ae) is instructed by her boss Son Young Shim (Seo Yi Sook) to make her chosen candidate the next mayor. The ace employee of Eunsung Group bluntly refuses and marks the start of the war for the seat of mayor. 

Upon getting convinced by Hwang Do Hee, Oh Seung Sook (Moon So Ri) decides to run for mayor and announces her candidacy, threatening the chances of winning of other candidates, among whom are Seo Min Jeong (Jin Kyung) and Baek Jae Min (Ryu Soo Young) who are forces to be reckoned with in the world of politics. 

The dirty play of politics commences, and Min Jeong and Jae Min publicly accuse Seung Sook of lying to the people about her righteous image. Hwang Do Hee and Oh Seung Sook find themselves in the midst of a gruelling fight for power that can even risk their lives. 

The K-drama will air a total of 12 episodes. Queenmaker is directed by Oh Jin Suk, and its screenplay is penned by Moon Ji Young

Queenmaker will premiere on April 14 (Friday) exclusively on Netflix
