Netflix series Parasyte: The Grey, helmed by Train to Busan director Yeon Sang Ho, unveiled a poster and teaser on March 7.

Parasyte: The Grey is a Netflix series that portrays the conflict between humans and unknown parasites that fall from space, create their own forces using humans as hosts, and bring chaos. It is based on a Japanese manga series, Kiseijuu, by Iwaaki Hitoshi.

The teaser poster captivates, showing a close-up of Jung Soo In (Jeon So Nee), who has a tentacle protruding from the right side of her face after she enters into a peculiar symbiotic relationship with a mysterious parasite.

The presence of Heidi, a parasitic beast, piques curiosity about how this bizarre symbiosis began. Moreover, the spores behind Soo In imply the presence of countless parasites scattered everywhere, hinting at an endless battle between humans and parasites in Parasyte: The Grey.

The teaser commences by showing a parasite taking a human as its host. A character says, "A short while ago we came to Earth with one goal in mind. We have no choice but to parasitize human bodies to live."

Parasites who now look, think, and act like humans start controlling their hosts' brains and launching attacks.

The next scene shows Seol Kang Woo (Koo Kyo Hwan), who is searching for his missing younger brother, hiding from the eyes of a parasitic being pursuing him.

The appearance of the Grey team, created to stop parasitic organisms and led by team leader Choi Joon Kyung (Lee Jung Hyun), heralds the beginning of a long, endless fight between humans and parasites.

The teaser, culminating with the dramatic appearance of Heidi, raises anticipation if Jung Soo In, a mutant who is neither a complete human nor a complete parasite, will be able to free herself from the parasite's grasp.

Parasyte: The Grey will be released on Netflix on April 5. Watch the teaser here
