"Chief Detective 1958" Climbs Back to Double-Digit Ratings
The global streaming service Netflix released a teaser for its original drama Celebrity, starring Park Gyu Young, Kang Min Hyuk, Lee Chung Ah, Lee Dong Gun, and Jeon Hyo Sung, among others.
Celebrity tells the story of Seo Ah Ri (Park Gyu Young), who aspires to become a celebrity in the world of influencers.
The teaser commences with Seo Ah Ri saying, "Fame is a blank check. If you have it, the world will exalt you, no matter what you do".
The teaser gives a glimpse into the world of celebrities where 'fame can make anyone money', and Seo Ah Ri is riding on fame in this glamorous world with 1.3 million followers on her social media channel.
Then in a turn of events, Seo Ah Ri asks, "How I became a celebrity, the reality of this world, aren't you curious?". Then the fact that 'The celebrity with 1.3 million followers, that Seo Ah Ri, she's dead', is brought to light, astonishing everyone.
What follows are scenes portraying the chaos that comes with this shocking revelation, and subsequently, the trailer reveals that the influencer was murdered by her follower, plunging viewers into suspense.
Celebrity is helmed by Kim Chul Gyu (also the director of hit dramas like Chicago Typewriter and Flower of Evil), and the screenplay is penned by Kim Yi Young (who also penned Haechi).
Celebrity will be released on June 30, exclusively on Netflix.
