Upcoming K-drama Pleasant Outcast has been invited to the Cannes International Series Festival (Canneseries).
The K-drama tells the story of a group of students isolated in a school that has collapsed. It reveals their dark nature as they strive to survive in the dire circumstances.
Pleasant Outcast was invited to the Out of Competition series section at the 7th Cannes International Series Festival, which is to be held from April 5 to April 10.
The K-drama is a 10-episode disaster thriller adapted from Part 1 of Kim Soong Nyeon's webtoon "Happy Boy", the same webtoon whose Part 2 inspired Concrete Utopia (starring Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, and Kim Sun Young).
Pleasant Outcast unveiled two special stills.
The K-drama is helmed by Min Yong Keun, and the screenplay is penned by Kim Bo Tong. Pleasant Outcast casts Sung Yoo Bin, Won Ji An, and Jo Hyun Chul in the lead roles.
