Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Seo Hyo Rim will return to the big screen as the main lead after 13 years.
On June 19th, the press conference for the upcoming movie In Dream was held at the Lotte Cinema at Konkuk University in Seoul. It was attended by main leads Seo Hyo Rim, Oh Ji Ho, and Kim Seung Soo.
In Dream will tell the story of an ordinary woman who has a "dream-walking" skill that can control other people's dreams and a serial killer with the same ability.
The soon-to-premiere film will be helmed by director Shin Jae Ho (Duel: The Final Round, Untouchable Lawmen, and Days of Wrath).
In the film, Seo Hyo Rim will play the main role named Hong Hwa. She will get involved in a case because of her unique ability to "dream walk."
This will be her first time leading a film since her debut. She had her first role in a film in 2010 through the movie Enemy at the Dead End.
At the press conference, Seo Hyo Rim shared how she felt about starring in the film.
Seo Hyo Rim revealed that she received a lot of congratulatory calls for the upcoming release of In Dream.
The actress also shared that it's been 13 years since she appeared in a movie. The last time was in 2010 and she worked with Chun Ho Jin and Yoo Hae Jin.
She also shared how grateful she is for landing a job in the film In Dream, "It's natural for an actress to hope for being the main lead of a movie. I've been wanting to play a lead role and attend a film festival one day and thanks to the opportunity to star in the movie In Dream, my wish came true."
Seo Hyo Rim also shared her realization of returning to work after marriage and childbirth. The actress revealed that she realized why actors that got married or gave birth widened their range of acting after experiencing the same thing. She added that the experiences helped her with her acting.
In Dream will premiere in Korean theaters on June 21st.
