The production team behind Vacation has confirmed its release in December and unveiled stills that give a sneak peek into the K-movie's ambiance.
Vacation is a healing fantasy film that delves into the story of Bang Jin Joo (Shin Min Ah), who runs a restaurant cooking her mother's recipes, and her mother, Park Bok Ja (Kim Hae Sook), who has taken a vacation from the heavens.
The released still images depict Kim Hae Sook, Shin Min Ah, Kang Ki Young, and Hwang Bo Ra enjoying the special time that they've found for themselves against the backdrop of a quiet countryside. Jin Joo, enjoying a rural lifestyle away from the bustling city, exudes a simple yet heartwarming sentiment.
Meanwhile, the still of Bok Ja descending from the skies to Earth to experience the most extraordinary vacation in the world, three years after her passing, along with her cheerful guide (Kang Ki Young), looking up at the sky side by side, sets a tranquil atmosphere against the backdrop of warm sunlight and picturesque landscapes, while igniting curiosity about this distinct storyline.
The stills of Jin Joo and her close companion Mi Jin (Hwang Bo Ra) cooking together also radiate a unique sense of coziness.
The collaboration of director Yook Sang Hyo, who received critical acclaim with Inseparable Bros (2019), and writer Yoo Young Ah, known for Miracle in Cell No. 7 and Kim Ji Young: Born 1982, further add to the expectations.
