tvN's upcoming K-drama "Mom’s Friend’s Son" unveils its complete cast

tvN announced the full cast lineup of the upcoming K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son.

On March 13, tvN revealed that aside from Jung Hae In and Jung So Min, Kim Ji Eun, Yun Ji On, Park Ji Young, Jo Han Chul, Jang Young Nam, Lee Seung Joon, Kim Geum Soon, Han Ye Ju, Jun Suk Ho, Lee Seung Hyub, and Shim So Young will also be joining the upcoming K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son. 

Mom's Friend's Son is a romantic K-drama that depicts the story of a woman who wants to restart her erratic life and her mom's friend who is the reason for the dark chapter in her life. 

The upcoming K-drama will be the next project of director Yoo Je Won (Crash Course in Romance) and writer Shin Ha Eun (The Crowned Clown). The two previously worked in 2021 through the hit K-drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.  

According to the production team, "'Mom's Friend's Son' will showcase love, friendship, and family love, in the background of a friendly neighborhood called Hyereung-dong. Please anticipate the synergy of the actors that will complete the warm and pleasant romance in the neighborhood."

Mom's Friend's Son will begin airing in the second half of 2024.

Jung Hae In will portray the role of Choi Seung Hyo. He is a young architect and the representative of architecture atelier In. Everyone loves him because of his perfect appearance, great personality, and he has a lot of skills. The only dark history in his life is Bae Seok Ryu. 

Bae Seok Ryu will be portrayed by Jung So Min. She has always been in the top spot since she was a child. She also never experienced failure. After being part of a global corporation, Bae Seok Ryu gets to experience failure due to a certain incident. Choi Seung Hyo is the son of her mother's friend. 

Kim Ji Eun on the other hand will portray as the childhood friend of Bae Seok Ryu and Choi Seung Hyo named Jung Mo Eum. She is working as a 119 paramedic and has a full passion for justice. Yoon Ji On will give life to the character named Kang Dan Ho. He works as a reporter and he always works on-site. One day, he will move next door to Jung Mo Eum. 

Park Ji Young and Jo Han Chul will portray the role as Bae Seok Ryu's parents. Park Ji Yong's character Na Mi Sook is known to be blunt. Meanwhile, Jo Han Chul will act as Bae Geun Sik and he owns a small snack bar. 

Jang Young Nam and Lee Seung Joon will be Choi Seung Hyo's parents in the play. Jang Young Nam will act as Seo Hye Sook and Lee Seung Joon will act as Choi Kyung Jong who is a professor of emergency medicine.

Meanwhile, Kim Geum Soon, Han Ye Ju, Jun Suk Ho, Lee Seung Hyub, and Shim So Young will be added to the cast to make the story more fun. They will be the neighbors of Jung Hae In and Jung So Min in the play.
