Production of Season 2 of the kdrama Boyhood is currently underway.

According to OSEN, the production team of Boyhood is currently working on the script for Season 2 of the series.

As a result, actors such as Yim Si Wan and Lee Sun Bin have not yet been informed about how Season 2's storyline will unfold.

It's been revealed that deliberations are ongoing regarding whether to continue the story from the aftermath of Jang Byung Tae's (Yim Si Wan) victory against Jung Gyeong Tae (Lee Shi Woo) or to focus on the story of Park Ji Young (Lee Sun Bin).

Boyhood, written by Kim Jae Hwan and directed by Lee Myung Woo, is set in the 1980s in Onyang, Chungcheong Province, and tells the story of Jang Byung Tae, a pushover who unexpectedly becomes a boss overnight.

The comedy K-drama premiered on November 24 last year and gained popularity, skyrocketing to high viewership ratings on Coupang Play by the time it concluded. Even now, it has been the top-ranked show on Coupang Play for seven consecutive weeks.

The filming for Boyhood, which commenced in June last year and continued for three months, was shown to viewers just two months after post-production.

Given the fast pace of Director Lee Myung Woo's work and the decision for the OTT platform to be Coupang Play, it is anticipated that Season 2 might be available as early as this year.
