Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Yun Ji On is confirmed to join the upcoming K-drama "Is It Fate?"
"Is It Fate?" will be the collaboration between director Song Hyun Wook ("The Golden Spoon," "The King's Affection," and "The Beauty Inside") and writer Park Geu Ro.
The upcoming series will be based on the webtoon of the same name written by Nam Ji Eun and illustrated by Kim In Ho. It will depict the story of a youth who will encounter their first love 10 years ago by chance. The series will be led by Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop.
Kim So Hyun will portray the role of Lee Hong Joo. She remains single due to a mental scar from a love she experienced before. She is currently working as an animation production PD.
Chae Jong Hyeop will play the role of Kang Hoo Yeong, and even if he doesn't do as much, he always gets the best results. When he returns to Korea after migrating to the United States, he will meet his first love once again.
Kim So Hyun will play the role of Lee Hong Joo, the first love of Kang Hoo Yeong.
The upcoming series is set to begin filming soon.
On November 22nd, Yun Ji On's agency confirmed that the actor will join the drama. He will play the role of Bang Joon Ho, a popular writer who is full of self-love. He will be working closely with Kim So Hyun's character named Lee Hong Joo as she was the first fan of his first novel.
Yun Ji On made his acting debut in 2016. Since then, he has been active in plays, movies, and dramas.
He was part of the K-dramas "Memory," "Our Gap Soon," "Stranger," "Mr. Sunshine," "Dear My Room," "Search: WWW," "Be Melodramatic," "Memorist," "Sweet Home," "Monthly Magazine Home," "You Are My Spring," and "Jirisan."
This year, Yun Ji On starred in the action fantasy k-drama "Tomorrow" with Kim Hee Sun, SF9's Rowoon, Lee Soo Hyuk, Kim Hae Sook, and Kim Nu Ri
