Bai Jue and Bai Feng jiu

I recently watched Ancient love poetry and I found it be great drama. Acting was good especially of Bai jue played by Xu Kai and other actors and actress as well. 

But I couldn't really feel the chemistry between Bai jue and Shanggu especially from Shanggu. 

At the same time I was re-watching the Eternal Love of Dream and I felt maybe Bai jue and Feng jiu would have made a great pair and would have great chemistry. 

Or is it just me wanting to see my 2 most fav actor/actress together in a drama.
