I'm looking for historical and fantasy (especially Wuxia and crime series) c-dramas to watch.

Please recommend me some series with

  • Happy ending
  • Strong/smart female characters
  • No love triangle or unnecessary melodrama
  • Romance not the main focus

I'm a bit of a newbie, but the only thing that comes to mind is Story of Yanxi Palace.

It's investigative.
Strong female character
No love triangles
Romance is secondary

A historical drama that touches me, other than The Untamed (which i noted you have watched and enjoyed), is Prince of Lanling.

Joy of Life - there is romance, but it is not main topic of the story. Ending is cliffhanger, because there will be 2nd season.  There are some very strong females (not FL, but many others are).

The only thing is it's not a fantasy, but it is a historical drama. I still highly recommend it though.
