The Promise of Chang’an is it sader then princess agents?

Is The Promise of Chang’an more sad then princess agents? I cried so much in princess agents when shawn doen or what hes called get betrayed by his fam and have to watch them die, can u jump. Over The bad parts in chang an? Also i rly loved chen yi in love and redemption i have Hard time to watch something else with same actor cause i dont want to loose that good impression or that character what do u guys do so u dont do that? Any one more that avoid that?
