If you're interested to hear more of the pieces from the first episode, here are some recommendations:

15:05 - Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 2, First Movement

Rachmaninoff had huge hands, and the chords that open the concerto are wider than many pianists can manage without either "jumping" (playing the lowest note then quickly moving the hand up into position to play the rest of the chord) or rolling, which is the pianistic equivalent of strumming on the guitar.  In 'Do You Like Brahms' Kim Min Jae uses the roll technique.

The YouTube video of the Rach 2nd featuring Anna Fedorova as soloist is one of the most-viewed classical music videos on the site: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEGOihjqO9w

39:11 - Schumann: Traumerei ("Dreaming") from Kinderscenen ("Scenes From Childhood")

This was a signature encore piece for Vladimir Horowitz so there are multiple YouTube videos of him playing it, but I love this performance by Valentina Lisitsa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHlfNYY1YIY

47:59 - Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto, First Movement

To round out the selections by female soloists, here is this piece performed by Janine Jansen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEbyyqyKtM0

@FreshKicks

THANKS A LOT FOR THIS! As a non-music major, I wasn't sure what pieces were being played but I'm glad to find this.  Please keep updating this thread as the drama keeps airing!
