Hello, so I've been slacking in the jdramas department lately so much that I don't even know the actors anymore. Can you recommend me some must-watch dramas that came out in the last 2 years? The plot has to be interesting (don't care about the genre) and the characters to have some depth in them.

Thank you >:D<

Aired in 2017:

  • 100-manen no Onna-tachi
  • Boku, Unmei no Hito desu
  • Akira to Akira
  • Hello Harinezumi
  • Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru
  • Frankenstein no Koi

Aired in 2016:

  • Kaitou Tantei Yamaneko
  • Good Morning Call
  • Omukae Desu
  • It's Not That I Can't Marry, But I Don't Want To
  • Hapimari: Happy Marriage!?
  • MARS - Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru
  • Mr. Nietzsche in the Convenience Store
  • Koe Koi

Also, I've compiled a list of japanese dramas that aired this year if you're looking for some other dramas: 2017 Japanese Dramas.  And I second all of @roseprincess's recommendations~ they're very good!

I think Doctor X is a good one, but honestly I don't know if it has some depth in her character.

I dont watch so much Japanese dramas lately, but I'm now watching Dear Sister (2014).
