editSynopsis
Four schoolboys find themselves the last virgins left at school. During the summer holidays, a girl they knew as children 11 years ago, moves back to the neighborhood. Despite their childhood attraction to her, they realize she is a mere shadow of the "princess" they all thought they knew. This story of summer - love, friendship, school, family, the hypocrisy of adults, complications of life, experience and failure is set in an everyday shopping district and shows the clumsiness of children who have developed a little later than their peers. It's a bright romantic comedy that both young and old can appreciate. --TBS

Nino and Anne really shine in this drama. Impressed with how Anne took the role of Chie and really made her endearing and sweet. You truly feel for this girl. Looking forward to more great acting by Suzuki Anne. And Nino as Sho was great. He plays insecure and naive very well.
The plot twists are interesting and you become invested in the characters. I usually hate love triangles with a passion but the trio of Chie-Sho-Kenken was believable and ... I connected with it emotionally.
Though this is a teen sex comedy, there is a good amount of character development, so it's worthwhile to watch. There read more report I found this review Helpful Not Helpful -

The plot is a surprise because it never goes in the direction one expected it to. Don't be fooled by an apparently superficial beginning: nothing in Stand Up!! is what it seems.
The cast is a surprise, because despite the very young age of the main leads, the acting is brilliant and gives the viewer a glimpse to the type of actors those young people would become.
The script is a surprise, as it deals with ordinary occurrences, teens fixations and the relationship between teens and adults in a sweet, mostly hilarious way.

yes, the comparison is a little daring, but if you are willing to cross countries, periods and setting, you may find out the two dramas give out the same feeling: the endearing silliness of youth, the family bonds, the friendship and the fun. Try, you could be surprised.
