One amazingly Beautiful and Brilliant drama! Every episode was beautiful and thought provoking. By the end all you could say was "WOW, that was one excellent drama." It did not deserve to get cut, I don't know what is wrong with the Korean audience - how could they overlook this GEM? To me it's a masterpiece and it easily went to the top of my top 5 dramas! It has to be the best Medical drama I've seen.

Story: About a doctor who has anti-social disorder, he can't empathize with his patient or people in general. He tries to live his life like a normal person; he wanted his fathers approval that he was "normal". And a rookie traffic cop who investigates a few mysterious deaths that occur in the hospital. The medical cases were all excellent and well portrayed.

Cast: Jang Hyuk as Lee Young Oh did an Excellent job in his portrayal of an emotionless person. A man who struggles to prove he is normal to eventually accepting who he is. His conflicting relationship with his dad was one of the perks of this show. Secrets revealed and betrayals on the way. Lee Young Oh was my absolute favorite character! And his blossoming romance was one of the cutest things! So pure and so sweet ^^ Something I looked forward to every Monday <3
Park So Dam as Gye Jin Sung - she first came off as a bit annoying and slightly stupid *but I forgive her for that b/c she was a rookie traffic cop - not a detective*. She was a bit irrational in the beginning but once she realizes her mistakes she changes and I started to really like her. ^^ She ended up helping Young Oh the most - awakening him you could say. ;)
Heo Joon Ho as Lee Gyun Myung was complex and interesting to watch, his mix of love, guilt, happiness and anger all strewn into one was portrayed very well.
Kim Hyung Kyu as Yang Sung Eun was a great sidekick character! *I love him in every drama he is in* - he's absolutely funny! Made me laugh a lot. And the team of 5 "The Power Rangers" were also a hilarious group! I really enjoyed the side characters in this drama.
My favorite guest/cameo role was played by Seo Jung Yeong ^_^ I really enjoyed his character and story <3
Yoon Hyun Min as Hyun Suk Joo was a doctor who struggled between being a good person and being a good doctor - he was conflicted about what he should choose or how to balance the two out.

Music: "Dirt" by Bernard Park <3 I love this song and it fit so well with this drama!

Re-watch value? 10/10 I actually plan to re-watch this drama right away lol - It's that good!
I HIGHLY recommend this drama to anyone who likes thought provoking things, medical dramas, complex characters and dramas that make you THINK. It's a truly BEAUTIFUL drama that you don't want to miss! I think this is the only drama I have seen that I really wish was Longer - 16 episodes would have been absolutely PERFECT, but it cut short unfairly b/c of poor ratings in Korea. :'(

Story-line starts out with our lead girl dating and about to be engaged to Seojun - but she meets Unchan by accident and just continues to cross paths with him and she starts to be extremely curious about him - and b/c of that curiosity she ends up falling for him *NOT a spoiler as it is in the description for the drama*. Our lead guy is labeled "the ugly duckling" at his home and has sacrificed himself time and time again for his family b/c he loves them. He dreams of becoming an architect in the future and ends up working for Mr. Lee at his workshop as his pupil. There are the usual plot devices in this drama as with most daily dramas. My favorite thing about this drama was the cuteness of the main lead couple ^_^

Secrets upon secrets revealed one after another - lies and manipulation well along the way - struggles and pain in the way too - luckily most of this was minimized when they were announced - so we could get back to the cuteness ;)

My favorite characters: Unchan, Mugunghwa, Gachan, Dohui, Mr. Lee "gramps", Granny, Doyeong, Hong In Suk, Oh Bongja, Hyeonjeong, and Na Yeongik.
I didn't really like Bokchan and her family or Dongchan. and I really disliked Mr. Ki most of the time - he was the most frustrating and most aggravating character -_- (the only character who really stressed me out). I also really started to dislike Mr. Han by episode 80 (before that I was still passive with him).

Ki Unchan and Mugunghwa's love story was so cute ^^ I loved every scene with them in it <3 Mugunghwa was such an adorable and cute character ^_^ Unchan was such a hardworking caring son and brother who always seemed to have things bringing him down. They made such a sweet couple - and Gunghwa grew a lot in this ;)
Granny and Gramps were SOOOOO adorable together - their little bickering "romance" if I may call it so ;) It was so funny and cute how she'd always call him a bulldog and his reactions lol
Gachan was my most respected brother - he really cared for Unchan when the others pushed him away <3 That made me grow to really like him ^_^ and his struggle at becoming a lawyer and especially his Trot thing that came later in the show <3 He was also a great dad to his kid - I loved how he sat down and talked to his kid.
I admired Dohui for being such a straight-liner and honest to goodness good person - she at first came off as a bit rude but I later really started to appreciate her and like her as a character - she never let me down. She stands her ground and knows how to be a true "professional" keeping business separate from private matters.
Ms. Hong was such a sweet gentle nice lady who had no ulterior motives - she was genuinely kind (and I'm oh so glad that she didn't annoy me with her usual screeching screaming in this drama as she has in past dramas I've seen of hers).

I don't recall any actual music from the drama other than the intro song (which is just your typical daily drama cutesy intro song) and Gachan's Trot song "Only You" near the end of the drama. *'Only You' is very addictive and will get stuck in your head* lol

Overall this was a nice daily family romance drama - with only a few lagging episodes. I'd recommend it to fans of daily dramas but not people who can't stand watching something so long lol

Lol, well this is different, my first 9 across the board :P
I really enjoyed watching this drama ^^ Finished it in the span of 3 days. I've read that this drama was supposed to have 24 episodes and was reduced to 18 b/c of low ratings - which is unfortunate b/c I really liked this drama but at the same time I don't know what would have happened if they had 24 episodes, as I personally felt like the 18 they gave me was all it needed - they rounded up everything nicely and gave a very satisfying end :D Showing that this fight for peace and unification is not over but has just begun ^_^ A Great story with great actors!

Story: Starts off with our lead characters working as a unified North/South Team on the Korean Peninsula where scientists are gathered together to find an alternative energy source. The team is disrupted when a North Korean opposition to peace terrorizes the place. The team is then separated. A love story that crosses borders, with a South Korean Scientist and a North Korean Scientist who met 13yrs ago while studying together in Russia - they met again as this unified team. and their fight to stay together and love is tested time and time again. In the meantime Seo Myung Joon is also in the run for President! *This drama is mostly based around action, romance, political and military - but not really war (as there is no real war scenes)*.

Cast: Seo Myung Joon (Hwang Jeong Min) and Lim Jin Jae (Kim Jung Eun) are the driving force of this drama - more than anything else that happened or could happen in this drama I wanted these two love-birds together ^_^ But is love allowed to cross borders? Seo Myung Joon was definitely my favorite character in this drama, when others wanted him to lie or cheat, he refused every time. His heart wouldn't let him lie. He's a man who feels a great sense of responsibility for things he says or does. If he's made a promise he's determined to keep it - whether that be to the public, citizens, his country or his girl. He's a Scientist who ends up in the political race for President, He's says he'll run to become the President of a Unified Korea. Of course he also has another reason for running. Lim Jin Jae is a North Korean Scientist who has a very difficult life, what with her mother being a North Korean "revolutionary" leader, who is cruel enough to rid her own family. and her father who is a pro-peace-democratic North Korean. *I thought they did good casting her and her father as I thought they really did look alike (especially in the nose)*. She struggles to stay with her love and protect him when she's away from him, suffers through countless torture, while holding onto the dream of being with him again.
Then we have our "supporting" characters: Min Dong Ki (Lim Jin Jae's friend, &colleague who unfortunately stands on her mothers side. But he also cares for LJJ as more than a friend). Park Hye Jung (a reporter, who follows Seo Myung Joon around for news reports and ends up fancying him) *for which made me dislike her a bit - she was fine with me until she overstepped her bounds one day lol* The NIA/NIS? guy who I liked and hoped would eventually get together with the reporter girl ^^ Lim Jin Jae's dad who I thought was very wise. and countless other people. All together they made the drama wonderful.

Music: Absolutely beautiful ^_^ 'The Shadow of the Sun' by: MC. The Max, 'If We Were' by: Hwayobi, and another song that I can't find but it's lyrics go: "Don't Cry again. Don't fly away. Fly away..." It's sung in a deep-ish husky sounding male voice *I really wish I could find it b/c I really loved this one the most*

Re-watch Value: 9/10 I'd definitely re-watch this drama again - if only for the beautiful painful love story ^_^

I'd recommend this for any fans of 'Assembly' as I think they have a bit in common and or anyone who enjoys watching North/South dramas :)

This was a fascinating drama about a great scientist of Joseon ~ Jang Yeong Shil ^^ Everything he did had to do with the stars and how our planet works, it was a awe inspiring journey through history.^^ I enjoyed watching him come up with new and exciting ideas for things I personally could never come up with - and they ways those ideas came to him was a wonder in and of itself XD [A leaf, a persimmon, a chime, and rolling iron weights to name a few]. I'm always so impressed with people who can think outside the box in almost miraculous ways like this. I am in no way an astrology major or anything close lol, I barely know about the "big dipper" lol XD Any dramas though where the characters are fascinated about the stars - always ends up peaking my curiosity and I end up looking at the stars more often myself ;)

Cast: Jang Yeong Shil (Song Il Guk) *I was so excited that SIG was going to be in a drama again!!!* I loved his character, his beliefs never wavered, and his journey through life wasn't easy - just when he was about to give up on his country, he gained a King and comrades ^_^ That made him fall in love with his country Joseon - He made up his mind that he would do his best to make it better for the people. (I personally like SIG better with the long hair lol rather than the "bun" he had to sport later in the drama). He played his character perfectly though, as SIG always does :)
Jang Hee Je (Lee Ji Hoon) my second favorite character in this drama ^^ He was run by jealousy and envy - and it was hard for him to see past that most of the time - He wanted to escape it so badly but he usually caved into it. *I want to say more but I'm afraid what I might say might be a spoiler so I'll refrain from saying it* I believed in him, believed that he could change - and I didn't let that hope go ^^ His character in a way was also quite pitiful :'(
Then we have King Sejong <3 Love this King <3 He was portrayed by Kim Sang Kyung (Who also plays King Sejong in 'The Great King Sejong' drama) I really liked the Sejong that was portrayed through this actor - he did a magnificent job! Through all his encouragement of Science and creating Hangul - He was truly a wonderful King.
Other characters I enjoyed: Ju Bu Ryung *she's so pretty & I loved her personality*, Lee Chun *at first I thought he was mean but after a few episodes I started to really like this character*, and King Taejeong - I was impressed with his role as well *can't wait to see him again in GKS* :)

Music: ... I honestly don't remember any songs... but all the background instrumentals that I faintly remember were nice and well suited.

Re-watch? Yes, I would re-watch this drama, but none too soon ;) and I recommend it to Saeguk lovers, Song Il Guk/Lee Je Hoon lovers and Science/Astrology lovers alike ^^

The only flaw of the drama (according to my taste) was Princess So Hyun - I didn't like her at all - or the romance they tried to push for - even if it was very sidelined to the rest of the story. I could have done without her.

"A woman who was born to cry." ~ Basically means she was born into a family that gets paid to cry at noblemen's funerals (I can't believe they actually did that!). That's their job, their duty - what a sad life to have to cry for your money... The daughter doesn't like this so she wants to smile for a living instead thinking it would be better than crying. Then we have our main lead guy who was born half noble (Noble father and gisaeng mother) So he on the other hand hates to smile. These two come across each others path and question each other on why he/she doesn't like to smile/cry - their answers were pretty much the same with different circumstances. They are both suffering individuals of different ranks who sort of heal each other - in a friendship kind of way (I'd like to imagine that their might be something for them in the future) lol ^^

Both Kim Yoo Jung and Seo Jun Yeong did a great job portraying their characters desperate feelings of desire, hate and anguish. and it was nice to see their "change" in the end :)

I don't remember any music besides the little bit Kim Yoo Jung sang on here...

Since I ended up watching it raw, I think I will go back and watch a couple scenes with subs lol - but other than that I think one time through is enough. It's not a boring drama special but it also doesn't have that much to the story either. I think its a decent watch especially if you are watching for a certain actor. For me it was mainly Seo Jun Yeong - but I also like Kim Yoo Jung so she was just an added bonus for me in this :P

This movie was so much fun! The right amount of comedic elements mixed with mystery and crime solving! For those like me who enjoy a good laugh but who aren't overly fond of Comedy genre's in general - this was the perfect mix!

I loved our two leads! They were more alike than they realized :P One a "veteran" detective who has experience in the field and one a "wannabe" detective. We see them clash time and time again, the novice is constantly getting shooed away, but that doesn't make him give up - especially when his friend is no in danger! He gets even more involved and the reluctant detective seems to have no choice but to team up with him in order to save his partner. *I feel like I've seen a similar movie before *especially with the baby involved* but I can't recall the name of that one...* Anyways it was lots of fun seeing these two together and see them actually grow on one another :P and I liked the ending too! ^^ These poor guys though XD Having to "beg" their wives so often lol ah, that was funny to see :P

"Women are creatures to be respected." <*snickers* it was so funny why they said that - I actually pitied these dudes a little :P

Music: well suited for a mystery detective solving movie :)

I would definitely re-watch this movie at some point - it's lots of fun!

I love movies like this, that are full of depth and feeling! This was and is a beautiful movie! I wasn't planning on watching it at first but b/c I kept wanting to see Cha Seung Won in more things I decided to include this in my watch list and I'm glad I did b/c if I had skipped it, I would have overlooked a true gem!

This movie really pulled on my heart. I felt for our lead so much, when he cried I cried, his pain, struggle and desire were so strongly portrayed by this man - it was so realistic and heart-renching <3 I enjoyed their journey. and I can say once again that I was taken by surprise toward the end! And I liked how they ended it too. This movie had me in tears and made me laugh ^^ What these characters felt, said and thought really moves your emotions. *especially their inner thoughts*

I don't remember any particular music except for the ending song (but you'd have to sit through the credits to hear that one & I only mentioned it b/c the singer sounded familiar) :P

I would highly recommend this one! and I will definitely be re-watching it at some point! I might even pull my mom aside and have her watch it with me as we have very similar tastes in movies. ^^

I know a few people mentioned that they thought it was slow at first - I didn't really notice that - maybe b/c I'm used to these kinds of movies (as I have watched lots of old American movies and they all flow similarly). lol

This movie was so sad! I went into this without knowing much (even though I did read the synopsis before hand, I didn't understand what it meant b/c I didn't know the terminology) and it captivated me right away - I'm glad I decided to watch this - it's worth all the tears believe me.

All the actors did so well in their roles, I didn't see them as actors I saw them as the people they were portraying, the emotions each character brought out got right to your heart and grabbed a hold of it. I became so invested in their story I couldn't pull away. The brothers were so sad - but I have to say I pitied the "Hyung" (Sang Hyun) more b/c his fate was (to me) worse than his younger brothers. This movie really makes you think and opens your eyes. "Some think they are monsters..." <that phrase got to me every time :'( and once scene made me so upset with people and how harsh and mean they can be.

The synopsis is a bit misleading as it leads you to believe this is a "love-story" but it's not, that is hardly indicated in this movie, it's much more about the brothers and their feelings, thoughts and way they have to live. Their father and mother. and wanting to let the world know through a book.

It does start off as almost like a fairy-tale but then starts to go in a different direction once the kids are born - it's almost as if the parents were in heaven and were then dragged to hell - it's really sad :'( But in the end the kids had it the worse - you can't help but have sympathy for them. My heart went out to them - especially to Sang Hyun :'(

Music was painfully beautiful - I loved it sung by all three - Sang Hyun (young) the mother and Sang Hyung (older). "The Peach Tree" song. I wish they released the 3 separate vocals for it but I only managed to find the one sung by Jo Seung Woo...

I would re-watch this even if I did feel like I cried my eyes out in the end - it was a very good movie. and I highly recommend it! But be prepared when you do and have a box of tissues nearby! :'

I thought this movie was BRILLIANT!!! I wasn't expecting to be so enthralled by it when I started it - but within the first few minutes I was already glued to the screen lol - I guess it's a "predictable" story-line but that didn't bother me at all and I enjoyed it immensely!

I had so much fun watching this trio pull trick after trick - they were amazing! Kim Woo Bin was as sexy as ever in this movie <3 *I love it when guys have their hair silky smooth ^^ The acting by everyone in this was outstanding! I didn't see a single flaw. When you watch movies like these where it's about the so called "bad" people and you find yourself rooting for them - it tends to make you question your morals lol but I couldn't help but not root for them - especially since there was a pretty decent reason behind *part* of it lol

Music was good - Mainly remember the background music instrumentals and this song: "I'll Give You My Life" by Yoo Seung Woo (I've heard this song before - so I remembered it more clearly). The other song: "Can't Stop Me" was good but not as memorable lol :P Anyways the music fit the movie ^^

I would definitely re-watch this as I had a lot of fun watching it this time - I know I'll enjoy it again! I'd even try to get someone to watch it with me sometime :P

I absolutely loved every little thing about this movie!!! I wasn't sure I'd like it going in, but since it had Lee Je Hoon in it, I had to give it a shot, and I'm SOOOO glad I did!!! It was amazing!!! and even more so b/c it was based on a true story! There wasn't a single thing I didn't like about this movie.

I loved the relationship the developed throughout the movie between the music teacher & Jang Ho - they felt like real father and son - it was so heartwarming <3 and Je Hoon's performance of going from a young man who felt all alone in the world where no one cared what he did - to feeling like he was loved, & belonged ^^ it was so precious <3 and Kang Sora was an added bonus - she was so funny lol

I'm not a fan of "opera" styled music (I like musical singers, just not opera) but I could handle it in this movie - especially the songs 'Nessun Norma' and 'You Give Me Happiness' (YGMH is more of a normal song though)^^ It wasn't LJH singing the songs - but he acted well enough that it was barely noticeable :)

This movie has all elements from the serious gangster fight scenes, to comedy (especially one scene I couldn't help but laugh - even more than I would have probably b/c my mom walked in on me during that very scene! hahaha).

I Highly recommend this movie if you haven't seen it yet - get it on your immediate PTW list!
I will definitely re-watch this movie! :D

This one is NOT to be missed!

Overall it's a horrible movie - right from the get-go - I would have dropped it except for the fact that I am going to be writing up a stalker guide on Seo Jun Yeong (the lead) <that is THEE ONLY reason I finished this - and I have to say I did do a little skipping b/c this was just an utterly BORING and completely POINTLESS movie -_-

The descriptions says it all basically and all that happens within the first 15mins - after that it's just walking through his daily life trying to get over to not get over his girlfriend - all his boring jobs, thoughts and happenings which had ZERO point. Such a waste of a movie! We see him cuss a lot, spit a lot, and smoke a lot - and try to hang onto his girlfriend that he doesn't want to break up with.

A "movie" that shouldn't have been made - that shouldn't even be called a "movie" and a total waste of talent for poor Seo Jun Yeong :/

I would NEVER re-watch this and I wouldn't ever recommend it for anyone - Unless I want them to suffer!

If you enjoy quiet natural love stories, then this one is for you. Nothing crazy happens in order for them to fall in love, they simply meet, spend time together while journeying around Jeju Island and talk about themselves, their experiences, dreams and past and future love lives. I found it to be very sweet and very natural - so natural it could happen to anyone - this I believe is how most relationships come about. I guess you could say its realistic.

If your feeling quiet or calm one day or perhaps its raining outside - then put this movie on and sip on some tea or hot cocoa and watch away ^^ I found it very relaxing <3

I'm so grateful to Geanina for so kindly uploading it for me, so I could finally watch it. ^_^

Jang Dong Gun is so handsome <3 I wish he was in more shows that I would watch lol For me Jang Dong Gun was the reason I wanted to watch this so badly lol and he truly outshone everyone else in this drama ^^ His quiet, gentle, & calm demenour is polar opposite of the role he plays in AGD ;)

I personally would rewatch it when I want a simple sweet love story to see - or when I'm feeling calm.

It's probably not a movie for everyone - as it needs to be appreciated for what it is - it's a classic 1999 movie - keep that in mind. It's definitely not fit for Rom/com lovers - as this isn't at all comedic.

This was one amazing drama! I am someone who loves seeing history come alive - it breaths fresh air into the written texts you find on Wikipedia. As I usually do when I watch a Saeguk that is about actual history, I read about all the characters described in this drama, and this took me on a beautiful journey for about 1 week - Yes, I marathoned this one ;) and now I need to go watch all dramas related to this one!

Story: Six Flying Dragons is about all the founders of the New Joseon - this drama takes us step by step into each characters life, experiences and personalities - we get deep into who they are and what they hold dear. They each have dreams, when your dealing with politics your dreams can get a bit mired in the process. That's what politics is - it's dirty business - no matter how clean a person is - a person is still just a human and all humans have greed - and greed can come upon you and overshadow your once beautiful dream. It's a sad reality.

Cast: There is always going to be at least one character that you hold dear above all the rest - for me that character was Bang Won <3 No matter his flaws, his crazy plans, or the cruel things he does could cut me away from the tender & fragile man that lies beneath. He was a lonely soul desperate to do something with his life. Along his path to finding a dream he could hold onto he encounters the other dragons & the forge ahead together. This character is brilliantly portrayed by Yoo Ah In!!! He deserves an award for his performance! You could see the desperation, the pain, the loneliness, the desire to do good, and his dream (that some call greed) for power, and his ardent love for one special person all captivating-ly shown through his eyes. When he hurt I hurt, when he cried, I cried, when his loneliness overwhelmed him I wanted to comfort him - I cheered him on throughout this long journey - My absolute favorite character in this drama hands down! *from a non-avid fan of Yoo Ah In* <though I might become one now lol - anything that came in his way I was ready to jump into the screen and fight for him - sword in hand - give me your order & I'll do it!!! <3
My second favorite character would have to be Bang Ji (Byun Yo Han) - his hurt, pain & guilt run deep - he goes from a coward to a great swordsman in order to protect the ones he loves. I LOVE his voice when he sings!!! My gosh it sends me to heaven ^_^ There is a song he sings somewhere in the drama that isn't *yet* released in the ost and man when he opened his mouth and those beautiful sad lyrics started to pour out, I sat here in awe with tears streaming down my face - it's hard to express all the emotion that was displayed in that voice <3 There was only one flaw with him for me and that was the girl he liked - I didn't like her at all lol - sad truth. *the actress is fine mind you, it was the character I disliked*
Then we have all our other brilliantly portrayed characters: Mu Hyul (Yoon Kyung Sang) I like to say he was the comedic element of the show early on - such a simple good hearted person who you couldn't help but like ^^ Yeong Gyu (Min Seung Wook) man I loved this character - he goes hand in hand with Bang Won throughout the drama - they were closer than brothers - a perfect hurting pair. Boon Yi (Shin Se Kyung) is Bang Ji's sister and also a love interest of Bang Won - I thought she did a pretty good job - historicals suit her ;) I enjoyed all the moments between Bang Won & Boon Yi - though I felt that Bang Won loved deeper. I couldn't help but like them together. Jeong Do Jeon (Kim Myung Min) I liked this man early on but in the latter half of the drama my like turned to dislike *I was prepared for it though* Although I thought Sam Bong's ideas and plans were good and should be done - there were a few flaws that I couldn't look past (3 to be exact) - the main one being how he refused to "acknowledge" (can't think of the word I want to use...) Bang Won in the latter half of the drama. *I'll let you figure out what I mean by this*. I can't name more because this review would get way to long - but the rest of the cast did a brilliant job portraying the characters they played.

Music: Favorite song? 'The song of the green mountains" a,k.a the song Bang Ji sang in the drama <3 I love it SOOOOOO much, I really hope they release it as an ost - so I can listen to it without all the drama talking interruptions! "Muiiya" by Byun Yo Han & the other singer too - the lyrics just cut through you. and I LOVED that instrumental piece the had the pansori singer on it - whenever they would play that one I would get both nervous and excited!!! :D

Rewatch value? Definitely a YES!!! I love dramas with great action and sword fights!!! (the only thing I didn't like about some of the fight scenes is the little pieces of "flying" crap I'd see - I hate unrealistic fighting. lol

I would recommend this to both Saeguk lovers and non saeguk lovers - it's truly an awesome drama!

I enjoyed this drama and I'm glad I watched it ^^ It kept me fully invested for at least the first 67 episodes ^_^ I got a little bored in the last few b/c it was all just jumping from one factual event to another which can get uninteresting when nothing fun happens... I thought the ending was kind of rushed b/c they didn't dig into any of those events they just skimmed them :/ That could have been due to what one user said (they apparently originally planned for 80 episodes and cut it to 70 - but I don't know if I could have watched Beopmin for that long lol *I didn't like his character*). I would have rather had them give us written subbed credits telling of when everything else takes place instead (like 'fact based' movies do).

Story: This is about the life, or more accurately, dream of King Muyeol (Kim Chun Chu) of achieving the cause of unifying the Three Kingdoms of Silla, Baekje & Gorguryeo - so they can stand stronger and be more able to fight off any enemies and live in peace. Without being unified the Three Kingdoms were constantly at war with one another and people lives were constantly in danger of another "country"'s war. It was a dream that started when he was a teenager & this drama shows us from that point all the way to the fulfillment of his dream. He made the pact with his friend Yushin and they swore together that they would dedicate their entire lives to achieve this goal - whether or not they lived to see it fulfilled - they always said "Even if we should die before we get to see it, our kids and their kids will unify the Three Kingdoms." This drama takes us through all the events in history from that moment forward.

Cast: Chun Chu (Choi Soo Jong) He was my favorite character of all the characters in this drama, his insight and wisdom to look far into the future and into peoples hearts was like no other <3 I had high respect for this man and never doubted his reasons or actions b/c I knew all he wanted was unification & nothing could stand in the way of his great dream! He goes through all sorts of trials in this drama (whether they are fact or fiction is purely up to the watcher to decide lol - I believe it is a mix of both). His legacy to me will remain forever! *Those of you that have watched QSD - QSD's version of Chun Chu is completely fictional - whereas here it is much more based on Fact. I didn't like Chun Chu in QSD but I love him here <3
Kim Yushin (Kim Yoo Suk) - I liked him better in this drama then I did in QSD as well ;) Both the young character played by (Noh Young Hak) and his adult version ^^ Both actors did an excellent job in portraying the friendship between him and Chunchu & all of the trials and lost friendships in the drama. He was very stubborn, strong willed and had an even stronger belief and faith in Chun Chu and their cause :) There were a few times in the latter half of the drama where I got a little irritated at his actions but overall I liked him.
Bidam (Choi Chul Ho) - I personally like the "fictional" version of Bidam portrayed in QSD over the factual based character here - but Bidam was portrayed brilliantly in both versions of fiction and non-fiction ;) I fell in love with Bidam from QSD whereas the Bidam in this drama was your typical villain - I enjoyed his performance none the less and I was glad they chose CCH to play him in this drama as he was perfect for the role. His "evil laughter" got a little old in the latter half however. I couldn't hate him in the end b/c he did have spirit :)
Deokman/Seonduk (Park Joo Mi // Hong Eun Hee) was great when she was here, I enjoyed watching all of her scenes ^^ The actress got replaced in episode 19 b/c of PJM's car accident :( But both actresses did a good job.
And of course there are several other characters like Queen Seungman, Queen Sado & thier Henchman (Yushin's grandfather) - (who I hated & couldn't wait to see eliminated) lol I was glad when King Jinpyeong's part came to an end - just like in QSD he was such a pathetic ruler -_- and then there is the the Crazy - literally crazy - character in the drama - Gukban - he was such a disgrace! & then comes Yeonhwa - another character that manipulated a guys mind for "revenge" that I thought was really stupid b/d her revenge had no justification - why would you even want to take revenge for a person like that? I didn't like her at all.
And then we have Chunchu's kids: Beopmin & Inmun - as well as Yushin's son Samkwang. I really really liked Inmun - he resembled his father so much (or so I thought) the last episode ended up ruining him for me *check my spoiler if you like* but overall I really liked him and I liked the actor that played him. I never warmed up to Beopmin (except for when he was a child) the Beopmin as an adult I could never have respect for - he was rash and only saw what was right in front of his face -_- I liked Yushin's son Samkwang though ^_^ Such a cutie and a great son & brother :)

Music - There is only 2 songs in the entire drama (actual lyrical songs) 1 is: 'Heart Road' by Jessica (Girls Gen) and then there is an ending song at the end of a couple episodes - but I have no idea who it is by... as the only "ost" I could find was Jessica's....

Rewatch: Maybe in the far far future (I don't re-watch many dramas these days lol)

The beginning of this drama was REALLY weird/strange & if I didn't know by other people how good the drama was despite the first 3-4 episodes (especially ep.1-2) I MIGHT have dropped it (I usually stick around until the main characters come on though lol) but by the middle of episode 5 I got hooked :) I really enjoyed this - I did get bored a little though around episode 46ish... (I think they were dragging to many scenes sometimes) and of course like I thought it would it left me heartbroken in the end (but I was already prepared for that) I'm glad I watched this - for at least being introduced to Bidam <3 His character became my main focus and draw when he arrived in episode 21 - I started falling deeper and deeper in love with his character - he also always had me on my guard though lol A very great character indeed!

Story: The dramas main focus is on Deokman becoming Queen (but it is in no way non-fiction lol - I read up on the real history before and while I was watching this and more than one account is fictionalized lol - The only fact was that she becomes Queen & Yushin a great general - that's it lol - everything and I mean everything else is fiction - but I have to say I loved it - I especially LOVED how they portrayed Bidam's character (who was the most fictionalized of all - but who knows MAYBE that's what really went on in history & we just don't know it lol)). The story is about Deokman who is abandoned b/c of a prophecy of Twins being a bad omen for Kings to have - her journey to finding out who she really is, the people she meets along the way (the gender bender in the first quarter) her loves, and her loneliness once in power and the fight to defeat her enemies and protect her people. *I'm not a huge fan of Women rulers (even though I'm a woman myself) they just come off as arrogant and rude to me lol (maybe that's the girl in me though fighting the girl on screen :P)*

Acting:
Bidam = 10+ for acting and character <3 I fell head over heals for this man and he became my reason for watching as soon as he came into the drama <3 He was so hilarious when he first entered - all the way through episode 34+ He would have me laughing so hard at this antics :P I could never figure him out - was he all he seemed to be? Was he really innocent? Does he have ulterior motives behind what he does? Does he really care for Deokman or is it a farce? Is he a psycho? or just misunderstood? His character was so gray that he never let me let my guard up but I couldn't help but fall for him despite that - he was the real mystery of the drama and one you really only come to fully understand by the end - and he is the only one (besides Cheongmyung) that made me cry on several occasions :'( and I was left sobbing for him in the end :'( *Heartbroken* I loved him SO much! He'll never be forgotten!

Yushin = 7- for good character but his acting needed improvement. I liked him a lot in the first quarter of the drama (first 20-25 episodes or so) and I shipped him so hard (I jumped ships around episode 30 something hehe) but his acting became dull and lifeless after that - he didn't show many emotions at all anymore :/

Deokman = 8 for character and her acting was mostly good with a few flaws. I loved her as a "boy" lol, she played that part SO well!!! <3 but when she "changed" somewhere around episode 24...or so *can't remember what episode exactly* after something happened. She just looked rude and arrogant :/ I wondered how someone could change so much in such a short amount of time... her character was totally different - so I had conflicting feelings with her character for quite some time... but I came to feel for her again later in the drama - and I loved all of her scenes with Bidam - it hurts just thinking about them :'( *crying*

Young Deokman = 10 Nam Ji Hyun did a WONDERFUL job as the young Deokman - I loved her character so much! she was a joy to watch! Such a talented actress - she never disappoints me in any drama I've seen her in.

Young Yushin = 9+ Lee Hyun Woo - what's not to love? ^_^ He was so serious it was cute ;)

Cheongmyung (young & adult) = 9 Both of the actors that played this character did an amazing job - and that's saying something b/c I generally don't like Shin Se Kyung but I loved her in this drama *maybe historicals suit her*. I missed Cheongmyung when she left. (talking about the character not the actor this time).

Mishil = 9.5 - acting was flawless, I could admire her cleverness but I couldn't like her b/c she was bad - but played a great villain. She was graceful even in her departure. My favorite spouse of hers: Seolwon played by Jun Noh Min <3 His heart was completely devoted to her with no ulterior motives - only love. *Seolwon and Bidam strongly resembled each other in this aspect*

Archeon = 10 My beloved Archeon <3 This man was another favorite of mine - I loved seeing him on screen <3 He's loyal, trustworthy, honest, and knew the feelings of the people he was around.

Chunchu = 8 Seung Ho played this character flawlessly but I couldn't come to like him b/c he was the biggest threat to my beloved Bidam (and this was what Chunchu thought and a reason why I disliked him more in the end b/c of something he does that hurts my poor Bidam).

Music: I love Balbambalba by Hong Gwang Jo - it was the most beautiful and sad song of the drama <3 Wind Flower by IU was also beautiful ^^ I personally loved Kim Nam Gil's song: 'Can't I Love You' (but I never actually heard it in the drama :( even though it is listed in the OST list... 'Mishil's theme' was kind of creepy lol and the song by Uhm Tae Woong was pretty ^^ There was also 1 instrumental I noticed and liked but I can't find it... It was always played where it didn't seem to fit lol - but it was really pretty ^_^

I think I would re-watch this at least every scene that Bidam was in anyways <3
