just finished watching this drama and it did not disappoint! personally it was a little bit slow and didn’t really make me go on edge but it was such a breath of fresh air since this is not heavily centred on the romance of the main protagonists but instead focused kaew’s fight to freedom and the obstacles he faced for being a slave. ken executed his role so well i was actually surprised, i mean obviously his character was a literal saint and it can’t get more in depth than that but he was exceptional in bringing out kaew’s lovable traits and inner strength. the romance between the leads were really subtle and not in your face. it went w the flow of the drama and the flow, imo, made it a hq drama!! it’s the little love hints here and there that will make you understand their sacrifices and love for each other :( it’s definitely not cliche at all however the drama wasn’t really action-packed, very subtle and slow progress and not in your face. but like i said, this is focused on kaew and his transformation (historical timeline was accurate too) so i wasn’t even disappointed or surprised about the flow. as for the characters, they were all lovable!! from boon jerm to mae nom to dukda they all played very important roles in the transformation of kaew its hella refreshing seeing even the littlest characters help bring out the best in kaew :) the only fault i had in this drama was a few characters, the antagonist (manoj) tbh his character was fine but i had a problem w his acting lmao... and the other the FL!! she was sweet and well spoken but she had NO BACKBONE, was always crying and being a pushover to manoj & her father (didn’t really have a head of her own tbh) and the fact that she thought being married to khun phra was the same as being w manoj...baby he’s not your cousin who’s tryna r*pe you and steal your inheritance or kill your lover lmao i rlly couldn’t stand her. imo bella as namtip was really boring and bland her character did not stand out at all i wish they had some other actress playing? preferably a less mixed or euroasian actress lol.
anyway, overall the drama was still really enjoyable and im definitely looking forward to more of ken’s work :)

this drama was rlly enjoyable! the first half of ep1 got me CTFU but the rest was just as funny, love chokong’s character!!! as for the leads, i didn’t expect kim and mario to have a really good chemistry?? their scenes were really enjoyable to watch and it felt so natural. Loved the outfits and especially the relationship btwn FL’s mother and step mother! definitely a refreshing change
i like the second ML’s character too, idk why but i really enjoyed him in buang banjathorn, bang rajan and bpoop phaeh saniwaat so he kinda stuck onto me :-))
some parts were lowkey a drag but it’s a rlly good rom com so if thats your thing, definitely give this a go!! ending felt rushed and for the sake of it but still funny otherwise

this was quite an interesting watch! plot might seem cliche in some aspects but its really funny, i think one if my fav rom-com!! FL was really clueless and just funny and the chemistry between the two was lovely as well, my only concern was that the age gap was quite noticeable and ML was 16?? it would make sense if he was 18 at the beginning but oh well
their love seemed so carefree then it transitioned to one of romeo and juliet’s lmao but yea it gave me lots of laugh, cringe and tears, definitely recommend this drama if you’re willing to overlook the weird age/gap

female lead is so gorgeous!! i saw the cover for this drama and immediately fell in love w her fjfjfj shes so gawg :(
anyway i had high expectations for yok luerd mungkorn but then i realised it was a channel 7 drama so i lowered it down LMAOO and ye it was what it was... very c7 like. starting to think they have the power to turn hq or good plot dramas into shitty ones :-)))) and this was one of them :-)))))... the cgi was horrible, plot twists were very cliche the only element that brought interest to this drama was the chinese gangs and yok’s family history. however the drama was a bit overdramtic and tried to romanticise everything... i think i have more cons>pros for this drama even though my rating is an 8... i would love to say the fl also carried this drama but it was just the ml lol, reason being said was bc the fl was suddenly “blind” half way and her character didnt do shit for the drama so thats why it was so boring and cliche. hated how they romanticised that part too :/ and even worse when she kept trying to be selfless but end up hurting herself like girl!! if u dont stop crying and take ur mans back rn!!! i think i can overlook the cons in this drama but the part where ML sleeps w 2nd FL aka FL’s half sister... like what were the directors thinking lol. anyway wasnt surprised everything from after ep1 turned into a shit storm bc after all, this is a c7 drama and im convinced their everyday motto for their viewers is “disappointment” :)
as for the rest of the characters, they’re alright didnt rlly do anything for the drama except stir the pot and make the story draggg. especially the father-son bond we expected to happen, it never did which was disappointing asf and if we can’t have the romance at least give us this!!! lol disappointment is an understatement and in actual i would give this drama a 6, the only reason it got an 8 was the LEADS bc they played the role well and obviously gave it some substance. the FL was really pretty and “i guess” she played the selfless, pitiful “disabled” woman well nffjfjf and likewise w the ML. he was selfless, had always loved the FL and had a thing for justice. even tho the romance w them were v little it was still enjoyable bc we all know they were in love since ep1 and their time spent chilling w each other had v subtle and playful love hints

the ost is so sweet and romantic!! first time coming across a lakorn that’s a musical too? was so adorable and bonus, this is a rom-com! the outfits were rlly cute and definitely fit the 70s theme. the chemistry btwn the leads was rlly adorable!! MF was a badass and always stood her ground, love that for her! ML and second FL had a very pitiful relationship and all throughout the drama i was just rooting for her to kill her husband!!! anyway the plot was really interesting and quite refreshing so when i googled it i saw that it was quiet popular? surprisingly though, since i didnt expect people to actually like these type of dramas, but i’m so glad!! love the mains so much

con: drama was such a draggggg, imo there weren’t enough romantic scene btwn the mains, they were just playfully arguing BUT their chemistry and ost tgt made up for it!!!! another con, i think the biggest, is that this drama portrays rape culture and objectifies women. idk how to feel about it though since the drama took place in the 70s?? and i guess it makes sense since it was different back then also the amount of FIGHTING lmaoo i think this drama was literally 90% fighting 10% romance but then AGAIN, i realised the plot evolves around the conflict in PPT so it makes sense in a way, just disappointed they included too much unnecessary fighting scenes. literally shane could be breathing and chart would pull up and try to kill him?also hated how the second mains got their own love story fjfjf it was so irrelevant and took up if not more than the main’s? did not like the second ML his character was assss, other than that i defs recommend this drama!!!!

this is the drama that got me interested in exo! this is going to be an honest and unbiased review.

i saw a clip of the intro for this drama on a kdrama ig page and checked it out. when i first started watching i had NO idea who exo were, just that this was another remake of other flower boy dramas. I thought exo was a flower boy name LMAO so i went ahead w it and loved it. the only problem was that it was REALLY cliche and laidback. there weren’t any climax and it was rather short. now that i look back (realising who and what the drama is etc) i didn’t expect any less for a drama based on a boygroup. IMO i couldn’t stand the FL she was overly dramatic (her acting) and 90% of the cringe factor was from her alone. the only enjoyable aspect of this drama was the OST and sehun’s friendship w the brother fkfjfkjf definitely the funniest and most memorable.
i think acting wise, chanyeol did a pretty well done job as the ML who’s arrogant but “softie” on the inside. quite cliche for the drama but at least he pulled it off. as for kyungsoo!! pretty sure he carried the entire drama fjfjfj
overall, it was quite boring and did nothing much except deliver content to fans. it could’ve been better (minus the horrible actress) and a little switch up roles here and there. in all honesty this is like a 6.5 but the OST (beautiful by baekhyun) and little contents given that became household memes for their stans (sebaek content and sehun’s adorable friendship w the brother) made me give extra stars

i’m gonna start off by saying this is a REALLY sad drama (as it took place during the fall of Ayutthya) so for viewers who were expecting a sappy romantic drama, i don’t think this is the drama for you.
As beautiful as this drama was, i couldn’t help but skip through most of the episodes. All the female lead did was cry? I get it was very tragic and the tragedy that unfolded around her throughout the drama was very upsetting BUT her character had no substance. Ngl the younger actress that played Daoreung had a better personality than her. Younger Dao was very curious and excited of the world around her but fast forward to present Dao, who was so shy and hesitant towards everything! she was so weak and cried every time and tbh its such a waste of character development since she could’ve been so useful for the plot!! Anyway besides her character being ass, i still think she did a wonderful job in setting the atmosphere for the drama. As yall may already know, this is during the fall of Ayutthaya so obviously it’s not going to be peaches and cream and that’s probably why the FL’s character was so weak and depressing.
For the Male lead, i think he did an exceptional job!! his character might’ve been very dramatic and extra for some people (he was very consumed w the war that he’d rather die for his country than stay at home w his wife lmao) but it’s realistic since patriotism was very common back then especially during the war and i think that’s one of the reasons why this drama was so beautiful. I also really liked the bang rajan reference because they ALL fought till the end and “painted the ground with their blood”!!! i really cried over that and i was rooting for them to win and live happily ever after but we all know that can’t happen :(
The FL and ML’s chemistry was surprisingly really good!! besides FL having no personality, she really showed her love for ML and vice versa, and as selfish as this sounds i wished they had more scenes :c I think this is my 3rd drama w porshe and tbh he has rlly good chemistry w his female leads.
This drama should technically be a 7 for me since the FL was rlly 2D and the drama kinda dragged however the OST!!!! really held the drama together. It was so beautiful and somehow painful to listen to :( but i found out (or knew) the ML sung one of it so i was extremely happy hehe.
Another reason why this drama might be a let down is because of the antagonist!!! (m thip) bruv this mf was so ANNOYINGLY evil it didn’t even make sense!! his acting was ass too (mayb bc of his character). It would’ve been more engaging to watch as an audience if he was REALLY evil but he was just annoying and such a waste of of character!! this is probably why the drama dragged on for so long but i’m glad he got what he deserved in the end, although it wasn’t satisfying enough tsk.

this drama is one of my favourite! davika x mario pairing, that alone already gives the drama high expectations and it definitely did not disappoint!! i suggest everyone to give the drama a try, the romance and chemistry between the two was so beautiful and sweet!!! mai in traditional thai clothing was so breathtaking, honestly one of the reasons i gave this drama a try because i love historical dramas and she looked so stunning!!! The plot is a bit cliche if you compare it with other time travelling/historical drama but it’s definitely unique on its own. I even enjoyed the antagonist (sara legge) in this drama she was so evil and enjoyable to watch too hehe and it wasn’t over the top.
As for the second ML, i liked his character (not technically his personality) but because he was so persistent to court praenuen again and it fitted perfectly well with her time travelling however, i did NOT like her mother. She forgave him and acted like it’s not a big deal, like omg chile ur daughter just got cheated on and you’re going to forgive him??
the ending though....was very confusing for me :( their fate was really vague since it didn’t really show if they died? other than that i have no cons with this drama it was really refreshing and sweet!

imo did not live up to its expectations, too many cliches and you could tell what was going to happen.
the character who carried this drama was sejoo (played by kim minjae)
the rest of the characters were boring and cliche, didn’t have the oomf factor like my baby sejoo did >:c
fl&ml were super awkward and had no chemistry imo
second fl played her character well but i just dont like her in general so the cast wasn’t that great for me, esp joy
i dont think her acting is on par w the rest?? she did ok but thats bc her character isn’t that hard to play w idol actors. sejoo was the only character who was refreshing to watch in the drama. i felt so bad that he liked 2nd fl but she liked the ml lead instead and to make it worst they’re all friends but they always seem to leave him out? anyway he outsold ml :/
