A Great Feel-Good BL

To be completely honest in my review I actually liked how the story progressed. It does take time for the two couples to be together and P'Arthit to realize his feelings to Kongpob. The series does focuses more on the SOTUS' meaning, rather than a full bloom romantic series for the most part.

What's great and interesting about this is that you know they will end up together but actually seeing a not so forceful attempt to make both of them fall with each other was actually a great touch that further helped develop their relationship. The Ost was also pretty good and the opening was really catchy for me.

It is a great feel-good bl that doesn't rush or have a really heavy topic, which is actually great. What I especially liked about this is the relationship of the seniors to their juniors as the story progress. You will come to a realization that their actions (the seniors) for the most part is actually for the betterment of the juniors. Especially the beach scene, it kind of reminds me of the last few days of high school when you get to spend time with the strict teachers who are actually pretty chill.

First Filipino BL I watched

Hear me out, story wise I guess we can say it has a good but at the same time predictable flow. But I won't hold it against anyone since this was said to be an experimental series at the time. When I was able to watched this there were just two episodes airing so I decided to give it a shot.

It might felt a little cringe because of Gav's character which I guess many people would find weird in real life. He was very forward with how he feels towards Cairo that even made me doubt his intentions but after watching the next few episode carefully we do get hints that he has been a long time an of Cairo.

For the character of Cairo I would say that it was created wonderfully, it really shows in his acting how unsure he was on the feelings and forwardness of Gav but still accepted it. Elijah's acting was also amazing might I add, as it really made me feel empathy for the character's feeling of loosing someone.

The way the story address the topic of being Gay was also different from many series at the time and was well explained by both Cairo and Gavreel as most members of the LGBTQ+ of their generation would also express the same context on how they felt the same way so their acting was realistic.

I am quite biased as this was the first BL I watched so I would say that this is one of my favorites. But frankly speaking I wouldn't categorize it as a God-tier or Best BL ever. Among the best in terms of Filipino BL? Yes I would highly consider and recommend it.

A BL to start off with on Filipino BLs..

I've had had my share of watching many cdramas, kdramas and Thai / Chinese / Japanese / Filipino BL as well, so in terms of story wise it was really predictable for my part to guess what will happen in this series. It just feels like this series was made because of the BL Craze in the Philippines in my personal opinion as it feels as though it lacks something you can't explain.

Nothing really major happened just your typical he saw the person he likes with his girlfriend. But if you are looking for some Filipino BL to start off with, then this isn't a bad series to watch..

There were also quite a lot of times when I feel as though the story was being dragged to be longer (it has a lot of fillers in my part, idk how to explain). What I'm more curious about is actually Crystal and Xavier's relationship. I feel like she wasn't given enough screen time in the series as it does focuses more on Xavier and Mico's relationship.

The cast chosen were all okay as well and the two main leads were able to capture their characters as well if they were going to the jock and kind of introverted honour student trope. One thing I particularly liked about this series is the OST, as it is very catchy. I wouldn't actually re-watch it for the most part so I'd give it a 6.5 just to be fair since it is among the first BL the Philippines produced at the time.

This series for me is just an ok series to start off with. We can say that from the looks of it, it has a budget in terms of production and editing, which was actually amazing if you'd recall the piano scene. I would recommend this if you were looking for BL series to start off with.

When I watched this, I had no expectations what the story will be. But after watching ep 1 I got hooked! It was a different and unpredictable story that will really capture the audience's attention. And let's not forget the OST which is also amazing as well.

In terms of the cast they picked and their acting, nothing else need be said as I don't find it lacking on any part.

What I also enjoyed about this series are the amazing production set they used in terms of the houses, rooms, etc of the characters.

If you are however not really that invested in minor details when watching then you may find the story quite confusing. For me, I found it really entertaining as I do appreciate the extra effort of really getting into more on the details.

In all honesty I'd rewatched this series usually on a cold and rainy weather as I feel that it will really compliment the feels and aesthetic of the series.

Watch if you are Mature enough for the Topic and Discussion

Let's start off by saying this is one of the enemy to lovers trope that is actually good. But also beware as both characters do have their own character flaws that I think was needed. This actually also showcases a sense of toxic relationship, in a sense that we see both characters being unsure as to how the other feels about them that you would see one of them walking on eggshells. I do however have read a few part of the book that wasn't really shown in the series in order to help me understand this series more.

Now let's talk about the problems that arises from the first episode, we see Type being prejudiced about gay people because of his trauma which I found justifies his prejudices on Tharn. But there were also actions from Tharn that also made me feel uncomfortable as how assertive he was towards Type who he didn't know was traumatized. We do however see the both of them in the later parts being closer (Type especially to Tharn. if you had read a translation of the novel then you would actually understand more as to why Type slowly become closer to Tharn and why he's let him stay close with him despite his rejection in the first few episodes.

A Remarkable take on a BL Series

When I watched the trailer I knew that I would be having high expectations for this series and come the first episode I was not disappointed. I really like the aesthetics and the production set as well, which actually has a deeper meaning if we were to really incorporate the series. I actually enjoyed re-watching episode after episode because it wasn't tiresome or anything but because it feels like whenever I re-watched it, it just gets better and better as I do noticed new details in each episode.

For the most part, I realized that every episode or every scene was important for the development of the story. And that you really need to pay attention to what you are watching in order to really understand the story since there will be revelations in the future episodes. And when I mean pay attention, I mean it in the most profound way possible that every detail even the acting was important. I especially liked how subtle they were in dealing with the micro-aggressions most of the LGBTQ+ Community faces that didn't seemed forceful as other series would.

After watching these series it really struck an impression on me to the point that I didn't bother re-watching the last two episodes for almost a month, not because it wasn't what I wanted but because I felt the need to really reflect on those two last episode that really speaks out what we need to take in consideration.

To be honest I wouldn't really want to categorize this as "just a BL Series" since it deals a lot more on the important drama and matters our society faces nowadays.

A Unique Bittersweet BL

Let me just say watching this for the first time with absolutely no context and just boom was just tear-jerking for my part. Story -wise let me just say that this tackles a new approach to many reincarnated dramas I watched. The story may seem confusing, especially the family tree, but aside from that the twist and turns and flashbacks of the past where both wholesome and gives us a bittersweet feeling.

Bittersweet because of Intouch and Korn's story, I don't think I could ever forget their story. The actors give their characters the justice it deserved that really gave me a bittersweet feeling that my heart was clenching whenever I see them together on screen because for the most part we already know the ending of their story. What I like as to how their story was how it was shown in the flashback and how Intouch's character became different from Pharm but still has many qualities that makes them similar.

For Pharm and Dean on the other hand, you can really see how the actors were able to showcase the sense of familiarity and longingness from each other. Being able to be reincarnated and live in a time where their love isn't forbidden was the redemption we all needed from the tragedy we experienced on the first episode. What really made me tear up is their official encounter on the supermarket scene that really had me crying.

And the Ost has also became a favourite of mine, not because it was good but because it perfectly fits the scene it was on and at the same time also explain the story for us.
