Did like this season but season 1 was better.

In my opinion, season 1 is a whole lot better than season 2. Mostly because the games in season 1 were more exciting and I wasn't too fond of the last 2 episodes of season 2.
With that being said, that doesn't mean that I disliked season 2. I just liked season 1 (for which I gave a 9.5 out of 10) better.

Things I loved about season 2:

- All the games Chishiya was involved in
- The King of Clubs game (the very first game showed)
- Kyuma's wardrobe...;)
- The backstories and flashbacks
- How even the minor characters were brought back
- The explanation for the mystery of the Borderland in the last episode

Things that frustrated me:

- Niragi never dying. Gosh that pest was the worst!
- Would have liked to see more games like in season 1
- 7th episode was so frustrating! Was almost impossible to kill the King of Spades, even after him being shot properly multiple times. And almost everyone else (other than Arisu) being seriously injured (and some even looking as good as dead) but not dying. Although the whole episode was action packed and not boring, the whole thing was extremely unreal.
- The last episode just felt too draggy and the Queen of Hearts game mostly gave me a headache lol

The ending explanation was satisfying but with the revelation of the Joker card at the end, feels like there might be a season 3. If they do make a season 3, I'd definitely watch it!

This lakorn could have ended in like 5 eps max if everyone had tried to actually talk to one another without jumping to conclusions lol xD

Most of the characters are honestly slappable...yeah that includes you, you adorable baby-faced Sathit. I think the most likeable character was Suki. Well there were other decent characters like Dao and Jate but tbh I kinda skimmed through their scenes cause I wanted to finish the lakorn faster lol. I did like Jee as well but gosh woman is it so hard to communicate properly..T-T

And honestly I don't think lakorns are my thing..there's something kinda cringey in their acting at times, especially when it comes to action scenes. But I might try watching a few more in the future before I actually make up my mind about them.

The best thing about the lakorn is the onscreen chemistry between the two leads. ♡♡ oh and Sathit smiling in the later part of the last episode. So adorable *-* lol
I didn't mind the music by itself but it was so repetitive in this lakorn and too loud and in-your-face.

If anyone wants to watch a lakorn with really good chemistry, I'd recommend this, as long as you're able to tolerate seeing irritating characters and misunderstandings till the very end...not forgetting the repetitive theme of lack of communication.

Oh boy, here we go...well clearly an unpopular opinion, but I don't love this drama. :/

It was so thrilling and suspenseful at first and then all of a sudden it just felt like a romantic melodrama. It was honestly so thrilling to watch till episode 5 and even after that till episode 9 it was mostly good but then it started going downhill from that point onwards.

So yeah the reason why I don't love this drama is cause of the story. It started out well and then was getting progressively ridiculous and cheesy...and gosh there was just way too much going on. Too many coincidences and overly dramatic. And lol don't get me started on the last episode...gosh why did they have to add in that overly used trope?! It was too cliched and frankly painful to watch.

Buuuut I must say I really liked the cast in this drama. Every single actor was pretty good, especially Lee Joon Gi.❤
In fact, the best thing about this drama was LJG. Like holy cow can we talk about how brilliant his acting was?...honestly, despite all the problems I had with the story, the reason why I was able to watch it till the very end and actually even enjoy it somewhat overall was cause of his outstanding performance.❤❤ Moon Chae Won too was pretty good though at times her acting wasn't very convincing. However, the chemistry between her character and LJG's character was so good!♡
And I love love love the ending theme!!♡♡

I don't regret watching this cause I got to see an awesome performance by LJG but this drama is certainly overrated imo..

Man what a mess lol. Romance, comedy, crime thriller (not forgetting the slapstick comedy) altogether was just an odd combination of genres. I could not get used to the atmosphere changing abruptly. At one moment it felt like a rom-com and the abruptly the mood shifts and gets all creepy when the kidnapper guy appears and then again abruptly shifts to slapstick comedy when it comes to any scene with the thug guys...like jeez stick to some genres that actually go together!

And honestly too many episodes! Most episodes had a whole lot of nothing going on and they just kept dragging the story showing a lot of unnecessary scenes with the thug guys..and most of those comedic scenes weren't even funny tbh.

I only liked the romance and the OST. The romantic storyline itself was a mess and honestly quite unrealistic lol but the 2 leads had good chemistry and they looked cute together. I think that's the only reason why I watched this drama till the very end and why I'm atleast giving it a 3/10 instead of 1/10. And Park Hyung Shik looks cute lol..
But it's definitely an overrated drama imo..

I sort of like this drama to some extent but I'm not totally satisfied.

Things I like about the drama:
- no fairy tale ending, thank gosh!
- everyone's acting (regardless of how I felt about certain characters)..especially that of Kasumi Arimura's.♡
- has a good theme
- realistic story

Well if I move on to what I don't like about this drama, the number one thing would be everything about Kiyotaka and Han-chan..gosh they're the worst!
The screenwriter tried to make us see Kiyotaka as a good genuine character, but for me he was the worst. He was selfish and I didn't see him genuinely liking either Toko or Han-chan. >.< I hated him even more when he found out what happened to Toko and still didn't go to talk to her about it. And I hated Han-chan for convincing him that it was better for him not to talk to Toko. She was such a terrible "friend".

Selfish people like that exist so that's unfortunately realistic and anyway that's not exactly what I hated. What I didn't like was the fact that we were supposed to see Kiyotaka and Han-chan as decent people as well with the theme of the drama applying to their characters as well. Just nope!

I think I would have actually liked the drama better if Toko had been the only main character. I liked how straightforward she was and how she stuck to the decisions she made and somehow got the courage to move on and live despite all the troubles she faced. I can't say the same for the other two.

Music: I didn't pay much attention so I barely noticed any music. I think there wasn't much music actually..

Re-watch: Yeah I won't be watching this again. It was just good enough for a one time watch.

Haha this movie was unexpectedly very good!:D The first bit was a little dull but once the two leads met, it gets really interesting. Gosh, the chemistry between Tao and Shotaro is just brilliant!^-^

However, don't expect there to be any romance...there's only friendship..and comedy..:P (spoiler mentioned in the comments) Man, the two leads screaming at each other had me cracking up...especially their bickering when they were flying..xD
SPOILER!!! << And it was hilarious how she just flat out rejected him..xD it was unexpected but I liked that romance wasn't added to the story. It was refreshing to see only friendship for a change. :) >>

For a shoujo manga, this movie wasn't cheesy and it was enjoyable to watch. :) Also the music was spot on! It just adds to the excitement and comedy.

You can definitely tell that this is a shoujo manga adaptation...a cheesy, silly story with a lot of cliched plot lines thrown in here and there throughout the drama lol.

That being said, I still enjoyed watching the drama overall. Usually this kind of story is not really what I would go for but it was cute and made me giggle like a silly girl..:P And I think I've just developed a crush on Sato Takeru..o.o..♡♡

I think I was able to enjoy the drama more cause I watched it with low expectations. When I initially heard if this drama, I thought it was going to have a more serious story. So if I watched this expecting a more sensible story, I would have been disappointed.
But still, if the story had been less cheesy and cliched, I would have given a higher rating.

I like the cast and Sato Takeru played his tsundere character really well.

And omg I love the OST...❤

I'm not into K-dramas but this wasn't too bad. It wasn't very original but I was expecting worse so I'm not really disappointed. However the drama could have been better or atleast much shorter.
The storyline was fun till a few episodes after they got together. After that it was kinda dull and the last 2 episodes were completely unnecessary.

I loved the chemistry between the leads and the fact that the male lead was actually charming and not an asshole. :)♡
I didn't care much for the side characters other than Cha Shin Ah + their mother and Hyo Jin ...the others were just meh...like the usual typical boring side characters shown in most K-dramas.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same but I found Deok Mi's outfits and hair in the drama too distracting..o.o not in a good way.. plus the product placement was just so obvious lol..

Kim Jae Wook though..♡

This drama is absolutely hilarious and if I had to rate it based on the comedy alone, it would be a 10/10. xD
But taking the plot into consideration as well, I'm gonna give this drama an 8/10.

The male lead is supposed to be bisexual but for me, his attraction towards men doesn't seem that genuine. Haruta and Maki looked cute together but they would have looked better if the relationship didn't look too platonic. I felt like Maki was putting more of an effort while Haruta looked like he was just forcing himself. That mostly disappointed me..

Also, the last episode was a bit too ridiculous. xD Haruta is clearly a foolish guy who can't say "no" to anyone...but did he have to really go that far? *facepalm* But still it didn't stop me from laughing at the ridiculousness so I'm not that bummed.

Haruta's exaggerated facial expressions and over-the-top reactions made the drama so much fun to watch. :D And I really like Maki...he was just so adorable!! *-* ♡♡

**Edit: I was wondering why the plot is so silly (in an amusing way) and only then I noticed that all the trending tropes and cliches that are usually seen in shojo mangas have been added to this drama...that's what makes the story seem ridiculous and hilarious at the same time. xD

I thought of increasing the rating to 8.
Regardless of what I actually think about huge age gap relationships (especially with the woman being the older one), this drama has good life lessons plus I think the whole studying process looked very realistic and inspiring. :)♡

Also I appreciate the fact that there was no infidelity or despicable characters in this drama. Although the 3 male leads were love rivals, they were still pretty nice to each other. Especially how Masashi and Yamashita supported Yuri with his studies...it was just sweet. ^-^♡

But I'm still not that pleased with the ending..

So overall, what I liked about the drama:
- The studying process looking realistic. ♡
- Yuri's hair colour *-*
- No despicable characters
- The comedy. The humour throughout the drama made me feel less weird about the age gap and the cousin issue.

What I'm not really fond about this drama:
- The female lead being way older than the male lead and the fact that she's his teacher..
- The female lead being a bit too dense lol
- Masashi being in love with his cousin..o.o He's a sweet guy..but the fact that he's Hiromi's cousin really put me off.
- The fact that it's unrealistic that no one seems to have a problem with Yuri's and Hiromi's age gap and the fact that she is his teacher.
- Also the last episode was kind of cheesy and a bit rushed so I'm not so happy with how it ended.

The main part that I really really liked is Yuri studying to get into Todai. I think everything related to his studying process and how Harumi helped him as a teacher looked realistic and very inspiring! ^-^ ☆♡

So overall, I did enjoy the drama and I think it's kind of a guilty pleasure for me because although I'm not generally fond of age gap relationships, I did sort of ship the leads together..o.o sort of.. I was mostly shipping Hiromi and Yamashita together.

Haha I actually liked this. :D It actually exceeded my expectations.

There were a few moments that were slightly cringey but the over-the-top comedy somehow covered it up.
Kento Nakajima's acting (lol he and the Claude guy were so funny) was better than that of the female lead, although she did better than I expected. :)

I wish there was more chemistry between leads but still it was satisfying and they looked cute together. :)

((Unpopular Opinion))

I was really looking forward to watching this movie for a long time now and I ended up getting pretty disappointed after watching it.

The true story alone is amazing and inspiring but the director poorly executed it, in my opinion.

The first 40 mins or so were the worst. I didn't feel any chemistry between the leads and whatever few emotions they showed looked forced. After that, it got a little better, but it still wasn't good enough.

I was actually nervous about how Tao was going to act, but she turned out to be the one who acted the best. From the time she started falling ill onwards, she acted pretty well.
In my opinion, Sato Takeru was the worst (yeah yeah shocking lol) cause he looked mostly emotionless and lifeless throughout the movie and he had this weird fake looking smile on his face that was so out of place, especially during the first half of the movie. There were times he expressed his emotions properly but most of the time he wasn't good.

Plus, I didn't like the background music. It was as dull as Takeru's acting.

And I can't help but compare this movie to "The Vow", which is also a true story, with a slightly similar plot. In that movie, unlike this movie, the chemistry was to die for and Channing Tatum played his role very well.

A very disappointing drama. Indeed, I was expecting a lot since I saw all good reviews about this drama and since I was looking forward to watching another "locked room" series, but even if I watched this drama with zero expectations, I still wouldn't have liked it.

The female lead is supposed to be clever but I don't feel it at all. She just uses her uncle's position to get whatever she wants and gets away with it. Plus it's absurd how she and Saikawa-sensei winds up in every crime scene.
Plus what's with that weird trance Saikawa-sensei goes into before he figures out each case? Lol, it looked kind of silly..

I don't like the individual cases either. Well the 1st case was pretty good but then it starts getting progressively worse from there onwards. The 3rd case and the last case, both involving Dr Magata Shiki were the most ridiculous ones. I don't get why the two leads are so obsessed with her.
There were a few ideas in the other cases that were kind of good but overall it was a hot mess.

This drama is just over-hyped, in my opinion.

It's an okay drama. :) Although it was entertaining (because of the comedy and Sakura was just fun to watch lol) from the start, the first few episodes were a bit too cheesy for my liking lol. And I wasn't really fond of the stories of the side characters. Some of the characters were just too vulgar, especially at the beginning.
However, the drama did get better after the first few episodes. :)
Also I get why Hiroto likes Sakura cause she's a pretty nice person, but their romance doesn't make much sense. Plus I didn't see much chemistry between them. I think Sakura and Tachibana had more chemistry and much more in common...but well whatever. :P It wasn't a perfect drama with a very sensible story to begin with so I don't care much lol

STORY:
Love the story and the way the movie was directed!
The only thing that bothered me was that they didn't explain exactly why the culprit targeted those particular people, who ended up becoming his victims. That's why I gave this a 9.5 instead of 10.
Other than that, everything else was perfect. The movie had my attention the whole time!
There were several plot twists in the movie, most of them being unpredictable I guess. But if you've watched a lot of crime/mystery movies, you might be able to predict some. ;)

CAST/ACTING:
Brilliant! The whole cast did an excellent job...especially Fujiwara Tatsuya! He played his role brilliantly. ♡♡

MUSIC:
I didn't pay extra attention to the music but I noticed that it kept the atmosphere of the movie very suspenseful and messed up. So I think it suited the movie very well.

REWATCH VALUE:
It's definitely interesting enough to rewatch, although the excitement might be somewhat less since we already know what to expect.
