This movie has been on my list for a while since it got great ratings and the title is quite captivating.
I guess finding out that it is a live-action adaptation lessened my disappointment.

I don't think any of the actors or actresses did a great job but I think Ando Takumi, Yamada Yuki, stood out the most, especially when he cried.

The scene I loved the most was at the end of the festival- the sunset in the background, bubbles everywhere, and a beautiful soundtrack working together to evoke a dream-like scene.

This movie is relatable; unrequited love doesn't discriminate, and the character Ninako, positive and very caring, is lovable enough to stay with this movie till the end. I appreciate the message Takumi conveys- that its okay to do what makes you happy sometimes. You're happiness matters.

The soundtracks were okay; however, I watched this movie on the plane and the engine roar kinda made it hard to hear them half the time. I'll definitely listen to them separately since I'm certainly not re-watching this movie.

Overall, I found the movie boring. I'll start reading the manga now.

Aging like fine wine but reduce your expectations a bit

This old gem has been recommended to me over the years and so I started it with high expectations. I advise you to reduce those expectations a teeny bit. Cheon Song Yi is such a breath of fresh air as a leading lady but I eventually got exhausted by the stoic Do Min Joon . It's a personal preference to have the leading man be expressive but praise to Kim Soo Hyun for portraying the role so well. With that said, I found myself more interested in the side story between Lee Jae Kyung and Lee Hee Kyung rather than the love story of the two main characters. Lee Hee Kyung is definitely one of my favorite characters.
The acting is great, genuinely funny, and definitely some scenes gave me slight agitations. With sci-fi elements and a sideline mystery, this drama sets itself apart by blending multiple genres into one central story without being overwhelming. The drama is also able to fall back on rom-com k-drama tropes we love adding to its charm. It's definitely a must see but because of it's unique nature your personal taste matters.

It has a promising story and the two leading female actresses, So Yi Hyun and Kim Yun Seo, act really well. I think "Cha Seo Rin" is nicely developed compared to the other main characters but there are just some aspects of this drama that made me drop it.

I wasn't a big fan of the main protagonist and antagonist portrayed as binary opposites, Ji Yoo embodying purity and kindness and "Cha Seo Rin" being jealous and vengeful. It makes sense given that the main theme is revenge but I find it unappealing when characters are given a set of characteristics that make it too easy to pick a side.

Oh Min Suk, the actor does a good job, but the character himself annoyed me most of the time. I also feel that Park Bok Ja, the maid, overdoes her part and Ji Yoo is two-dimensional.

Up until I gave up, there was a good amount of slapping scenes. Funny to watch (I'm being sarcastic) but I think the recipients move their heads to early?

The soundtracks are alright but not my cup of tea.

I have seen drama's up to a 100 episodes (some way more) and finished them, so I guess I just lost genuine interest in this one. It's predictable and reminds me of another drama, Two Mothers. My mom is strict and still wants to finish it so I'll just have her update me on how the plot evolves.
