STORY: Cute story even if a bit cliche: the lower classman crushes on the upper classman and finds a way to confess. Of course, the upper classman has no clue that the lower classman likes him.

CAST/ACTING: Quite good. In fact, it's about a guy who wants to be an actor. He's quite good.

MUSIC: OK

REWATCH VALUE: I'll watch it again sometime when I'm on a Strongberry BL binge.

OVERALL: Another entry from Strongberry. I do like their work and this is a nice piece with a happy ending. Always happy to support their work.

STORY: Lu Bai is chosen as the Holy Fox Son to save and protect the Fox Fairy Tribe. He is injured in the human realm and rescued by a human prince, Xiao Jing Chen, and nursed back to health. A strong friendship (or bromance) develops between the two.

ACTING/CAST: Same cast as the series but I think their acting skills have improved. The stupid evil laugh of the villain is as silly as ever though. haha

MUSIC: OK

REWATCH VALUE: I am a total fan of the actual story of this series and the 2 movies even if the execution of it is wanting. I wish it was BL but China won't have it...yet. I may rewatch this sometime but what actually happened is it made me rewatch the series!

OVERALL: This is the expanded story based on the historical events shown in The Fairy Fox series (ak.a. My Roommate Is a Fairy Fox). This was excellently done. It looked as if they filmed the series and the two movies all at the same time but released them separately, it's so coherent. Anyways, if you like the series, the two movies were good too. I hope for more.

STORY: The story addresses Karoshi, a Japanese term literally meaning "overwork death," or "death by overwork." It's a big problem in Japan and this movie portrays an overworked guy who attempts suicide and the guy who tries to save him. It's a redemption story with a lot of suspense, also mystery surrounding the identity of "Yamamoto." It has a great ending. NOTE: This is not Boy's Love or Bromance or anything like that.

ACTING/CAST: It's literally an All-Star cast! All of the actors, and the one actress, were superb. You just can't get too much better than these people!

MUSIC: It was good for a show like this, certainly. That ending song is quite good, check the comment section for a link to it English Subbed.

REWATCH VALUE: I will watch it again down the road.

OVERALL: Absolutely fantastic and heartwarming movie about a very powerful subject (Kar?shi) and two guys just trying to save each other.

I've read the manhua (the English translations) and watched the anime multiple times so there will be some comparisons...

STORY: For at least the first half of the movie, it moves through through the original source material quickly, as there is much to skim over and a short amount of time to do it. There are some obvious changes that fans may not enjoy. (Check out my comments in the comment section for some details and spoilers.) The second half of the movie deviates a lot from the source and that's understandable because I think they wanted a self-contained movie adaptation and the manhua and anime are still ongoing. Still, it was neat to see an adaptation of this.

ACTING/CAST: I quite enjoyed the cute actors they cast except for the grandmother of the house who they turned into a senile old woman for no reason whatsoever.

MUSIC: It was the standard sweeping epic type music you'd expect. Side note: I love the music for both the Chinese and Japanese versions of the anime openings, specially the Japanese version of Season 2.

REWATCH VALUE: Well, I dunno. I think I'd rather rewatch the anime or catch up on the translations. The Chinese is over 275 chapters and English is only around chapter 70 (as of this writing 4/2/18).

OVERALL: They did a decent job adapting open-ended source material while not being an exact copy of the anime. Cheesy special effects. :O)

STORY: Essentially it's about a dude cosplaying as a woman. He ends up helping his friend trick a rich guy but then more and more decides he likes dressing as a woman. The story is kinda boring though there are some funny scenes and the outtakes at the end of each episode is funny. This isn't a tragedy, but let's just say the ending was disappointingly dull just like most of this show. The English translation, which must have been Google, was very poor. It's too bad the story wasn't better; it's not good enough to merit retranslation.

ACTING/CAST: The cast are all very good looking. Also, they do a great job. I was quite impressed with their acting. It seemed to be the one thing this show had going for it.

MUSIC: I liked the intro/outro music. The budget probably didn't allow for much else so they used a lot of royalty free classical music. There was a real nice song that was obviously Pachelbel's Cannon in C but modernized which I really liked.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah. I was really hoping for something to happen between the leads, because there is great chemistry there, but since it didn't, I won't rewatch it.

OVERALL: I was bored before watching this, during, and after.

STORY: Takes place immediately after Season 1 and whatever beautiful magic the first season had did not continue into the Season 2. The first half of the second season was kinda uninteresting, and frankly boring. I also didn't quite care for Gus' new bf...he's rather bland too. The second half was much better as the writing seemed to pick up again.

ACTING/CAST: A fantastic cast all around and Golf is so good. Honestly, he became my most favorite character of this show because he's so over the top and hilariously funny.

MUSIC: I like the new theme song and this series did have some decent music sprinkled about.

REWATCH VALUE: Um, not sure. Maybe parts of it? Or maybe just the second half of the season? The first season is VERY rewatchable but not sure about this one.

OVERALL: Slow start but got better.

STORY: A TRADEGY about the broken lives of a few gay men. The story was very slow-paced but it had quite a few tiny plot twists that were uncovered via various flashbacks which explained how the guys became who they are. It's shown from the hustler's perspective on the streets, complete with a pimp, brothel, drugs, and alcohol.

ACTING/CAST: Well, there were a lot of cute actors and they did a good job. They did not shy away from the myriad of make out scenes and all that kissing.

MUSIC: Standard.

REWATCH VALUE: Nuh uh. So slow. Did I mention it's a tragedy? OK, I realize this came out 10 years ago and was probably pretty progressive for its time.

OVERALL: 100% Guaranteed to cure insomnia and the desire to live! Act now while supplies last!

STORY: This is a redemption story about the older brother trying to eventually make things right with his younger brother. The first part of the movie was kind of confusing but towards the end a lot of things are revealed and explained so that it makes so much sense. By the end, the feels were there for the whole family and the two brothers. It was definitely worth the wait.

ACTING/CAST: Every one of the cast was great, and the dancing and choreography was excellent. Those boys were great.

MUSIC: Oh yeah, good music. I really like the song that they dancers sang.

REWATCH VALUE: I may, I may not.

OVERALL: It's a K-Drama, of course it's good. Confusing at first but ends great. (No BL)

STORY: This is a bromance, heavy on the bro, light on the mance. It is an entertaining show, the script is sharp and fun and watching the two characters go from hating each other to being best friends was nice. At the beginning and end it does seem to suggest they are a couple but it's only hinted at.

ACTING/CAST: They are very handsome guys and they act well.

MUSIC: Didn't pay attention.

REWATCH VALUE: Only if there was more than just a bromance.

OVERALL: If you are looking for a genuine BL story, look elsewhere.

STORY: A talking mudskipper. Need I say more? No? I will anyways. This story is quite absurd. I did like the idea of a Thai actor in Japan but meeting a high school girl and being able to communicate with her via a mudskipper was just silly. And the story never really gets any less absurd as times goes on.

ACTING/CAST: I really only came to watch Bank Thiti. I watched NHK World's English Dub, since I couldn't find English Sub, and it was...horrific. I don't generally like dubbed stuff overall, but the dubbing was awful. It felt like it was dubbed for an audience comprised of children, or some public service message.

MUSIC: Regular background music, nothing stood out.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah

OVERALL: Maybe I'm overthinking things, but perhaps the intended audience was foreign children who are not familiar with Japan who might want to go there someday when they grow up. BONUS point for shirtless Bank though. +1

STORY: A very campy fujoshi story. Lots of funny scenes. It's not outright BL but a lot is suggestive. The ending is cute and I hope for a second season or some continuation.

ACTING/CAST: There were some parts where I could tell some were inexperienced, but overall they did a fine job for such a short series.

MUSIC: So short I didn't pay much attention.

OVERALL: Funny and had some hot daydreams of one guy dreaming of the other. Again, not BL, just fujoshi but see the end and decide for yourself.

STORY: SLOOOOOOOW! OMG SLOW! Essentially it's about James being pimped out for money and drugs. And you only find that out if you managed to stay awake through the whole thing. Seriously, they must spend 20 minutes on baking a cake! Zzz

ACTING/CAST: Only reason I wanted to see this was because ?Gun? is in it. Don't much care about anyone else in this.

MUSIC: Um, there's a song at the end that sounds kinda cool.

REWATCH VALUE: Bathtub scene only, hehehe.

OVERALL: Pointlessly slow. Go watch the bathtub scene cut on YouTube. It's the only part of this movie that was interesting. I hope the sequel is better...

STORY: Being one of the translators, I've watched this series dozens of times. Some parts of it can seem disjointed but after watching the entire show more than once, I understand it so much better. For one, the black & white scenes are an aside, which was partly confusing at first, but it's like a small narration of the whole story. Again, to fully understand all of the things said, and much that wasn't said, it helps to watch it more than once. If you are wondering about the ending before you watch this, see my spoiler in the comments section.

ACTING/CAST: Some are noobs, all are young, all are cute.

MUSIC: Besides the two different opening songs, which I liked the second one better, there were 3 very good commercial songs. Check the links in the description of the final episode. I really liked the music in this.

REWATCH VALUE: To really understand it, I had to see it more than once. And it's so short, I didn't mind seeing it multiple times. Your mileage may vary.

OVERALL: Well, it's shot in 1080p, which is nice. It's a short production on probably a smaller budget with some young actors, but I did enjoy the show.

STORY: The whole show centers around Toey's experiences in a foreign country (Japan) while trying to get over his recent heartbreak and trying to figure out his feelings toward Oat, a fellow Thai, who rents the unit next to him. It's quite a long movie but evenly paced and never really felt slow. The ending is a bit disappointing but understandable in the context of the movie.

ACTING/CAST: The guys are cute and they have good chemistry. There are a number of sweet moments and they pull them off nicely.

MUSIC: I only seem to remember a piano in the background. It went well with the show but I remember little else.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah, while it was enjoyable once, no need to see it again.

OVERALL: This is a multilingual movie: Thai, Japanese, English.  It was fun to watch. Also it was sweet to watch Toey and Oat draw close to each other. But, as the details section states above, they have to disappointingly "return to the 'real world'." Also, lots of pretty scenery of Japan. Hope you like Natt?!

STORY: This movie is about a very caustic relationship. As the details above state, the one guy drugs the other and drives off into the wild with him. It seems to carry the same love-bordering-on-obsession theme that sister movie of this had (Suddenly Last Summer). In fact, watching this after the other, it almost seemed like the same movie, just a change in setting and circumstances...but far less enjoyable.

ACTING/CAST: They can do anger, they can fight, they can wrestle naked, and do drunk. So I guess their acting wasn't too bad.

MUSIC: Unmemorable.

REWATCH VALUE: Nope.

OVERALL: I'm not very fond of crazy, abusive relationships, especially where one actually does something criminal like drug them. Throughout the show I was hoping that maybe it would have some redemption, that it would end happily like Suddenly Last Summer...
